We loved our stay on this houseboat. Plenty of room to spread out and we really enjoy having outdoor seating space on the canal. The neighborhood was safe and walkable with a 10 minute bus ride to Centraal Station. Ruud was a responsive and flexible host who made us feel welcomed in his home.

The Black Swan houseboat is truly a special place to stay. Leonora and Erwin have thought of every detail, and the space makes you feel instantly at home. If you are looking for a special place to relax with friends or family, you need to consider a stay at the Black Swan. We would certainly return without hesitation.

I am thankful for Eric’s trust and hospitality, his place felt like home to us and was close to everything we needed (beautiful park, supermarkets, restaurants). Eric was a very thoughtful host and I really hope to be back:) really beautiful and joyful home, thank you Eric & family.

This houseboat is wonderful and the perfect chilled get away just outside the city centre. Hosts were great with communication and the houseboat was better than we could’ve imagined. Great location with every type of public transport right on your doorstep or if the weather permits a nice walk back into town. 100% would recommend!

Anouk ist eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Ihre Empfehlungen für Ausflüge, auch mit dem kleinen Motorboot, waren wirklich hilfreich für uns. Das Hausboot ist geräumig, hübsch und einfach etwas besonderes. Die ruhige Lage war sehr entspannend und gleichzeitig waren das Zentrum von Amsterdam ebenso wie die Tulpenfelder oder das Meer mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut zu erreichen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und sagen Danke!

The accommodation lived up to its promises. The location was beautiful, situated right by the canal. While it’s slightly outside the center of Amsterdam, it remains easily accessible. Karina was a perfect host—always responsive and helpful, providing great recommendations and a booklet with clear instructions. She even allowed us to leave our luggage there before check-in. We would definitely book again.

Was für ein Haus… die Bilder versprechen nicht zu viel. Es hat einen sehr schönen Vorgarten, die Lichtverhältnisse innen mit dem Blick auf das Wasser und die vorbei schwimmenden Enten sind traumhaft, die Küche bietet alles, was man mit mehreren Personen gebrauchen kann und dann ist auch noch eine Sauna… Das Haus ist interessant und stilreich eingerichtet und wir haben uns mit unseren vier Kindern sehr sehr wohl gefühlt! Es bietet überraschend viel Wohnfläche und einige Rückzugsorte. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man kann mit dem Rad und mit dem Auto zügig kürzere und auch weitere Strecken hinter sich bringen. Die Kommunikation mit Joseph war stets schnell und unkompliziert.

Absolut geniales Hausboot. Super-schön eingerichtet - sehr modern - mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Es war blitzsauber und gemütlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und das Leben auf dem Hausboot sehr genossen (eine tolle Erfahrung). Zum Boot gehört ein SUP, das wir trotz der Jahreszeit ausprobiert haben. Im und um das Boot ist sehr ruhig und trotzdem ist man fast mittendrin - es sind nur wenige Meter in den eigentlichen Ort. Richtig klasse: der Supermarkt liegt direkt gegenüber. Anita und Diedert sind tolle und sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber, die wir zwar nicht persönlich kennengelernt haben aber die Kommunikation mit ihnen lief hervorragend. Wir würden gerne mal wiederkommen.

Logement très paisible, les seuls bruits que vous entendrez seront ceux des canards et des oies. Le logement est fidèle à la description. Tout le nécessaire est présent pour passer un agréable séjour. Carla est très réactive. Elle nous a accueilli à notre arrivée et nous avait prévu des petites douceurs, ce que nous avons trouvé très sympathique. Nous recommandons fortement et referont certainement un nouvel escale lorsque nous reviendrons dans le pays!

We really enjoyed the opportunity to stay on a houseboat while in Amsterdam and Fern's home was comfortable and relaxing. It was also nice to see a less touristy side of the city - it's an easy tram ride from the city center. Pepper was quite charming and we were delighted with her presence and the patio was a little oasis. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a more authentic stay.

If you are looking to stay on the river in a quiet neighbourhood - on a house boat - it doesn't get better than this. I loved waking up, peering out onto the water. Each morning the rowers are out, people running along the riverbank - it's incredibly peaceful yet full of life. This is a real boat, not a floating house so you have to navigate different levels inside, getting on and off the boat etc. All part of the charm. Martin is a fabulous host. Note: this is the old school airbnb of old - its Martin's home, beautifully appointed, spacious and generously kitted out - with the comfort of a 'lived in' feel. The upper deck is just delightful, full of light and windows and you can sit with your coffee and watch the river-world go by. The area is surrounded by park, but just nearby is a lovely high-street with shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and deli's. Trams will take directly into the centre of Amsterdam - everything you need - highly recommended!

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was pristine clean and felt like a true home away from home. Mandy was incredibly responsive and proactive with any questions we had—communication was smooth and reassuring from start to finish. The location was exactly as described, perfectly situated and convenient for everything we needed. Our kids had a blast, and the jacuzzi and sauna were the cherry on top—such a relaxing bonus after long days out. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a welcoming vibe.

A lovely houseboat out of the busy fray of Amsterdam with easily accessible public transportation, cafes and restaurants. The birdlife on the canal was a pleasure, including 5 recently hatched baby coots. Liz gave us proper food to give the parents and we enjoyed watching them feed their offspring. Great break from museums and all the activities of Amsterdam.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour d’une nuit. Le logement est charmant, original et facile d’accès. Nous avons aisément trouvé un bon restaurant et Aalsmeer est un très bel endroit. Nous avons apprécié le livret de bienvenue préparé par Anne qui a été très réactive et disponible. Le logement était propre et fonctionnel. Nous avons été bien accueillis et avons passé un très bon séjour ! C’était une belle expérience de dormir sur l’eau. À refaire!

This one-of-a-kind stay in the impressive Schoonschip project gets my full recommendation. We felt instantly at home—if only we could call a place like this our own! Thomas was a 6-star host in a 5-star world. The covered parking spot just a few meters away was a real bonus. Highly recommend!

This boat was such a treat, beautifully presented, spacious, gorgeous views amongst other boats, easy walking around central Amsterdam. The facilities within the boat were top notch, stylish upstairs living space, extremely comfortable beds, lovely bathroom (with the bonus of an upstairs toilet too). If we were there in warmer weather we would have spent more time just hanging out on the deck. Heartily recommend.

OK, so yes, it is expensive but so glad I was willing to pay for it. Beyond our expectations and the most memorable place I have ever stayed in Europe. The host was amazing, answering questions even suggesting a place for a celebration of my daughters birthday. Large supermarket 5 minute walk, reasonable Uber to and from airport. Metro 3-5 minute walk that takes you everywhere you would want to go. We arrive on May day and the river was full of recreational boats. We enjoyed the rowers as well. Truly special.

Staying on the White Feather Suite was an absolute dream and definitely a weekend we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location was serene and peaceful, with beautiful views of the canal. The boat itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, tranquil and incredibly cosy. Every detail was thoughtfully designed—from the cozy bedroom, spa like bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. We especially loved waking up to the gentle rocking of the water and having our morning coffee on the deck. Vera and George were amazing hosts —super friendly, responsive, and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect stay, even surprised us with birthday cake and gifts on arrival. This was one of the most unique stays we've ever had and definitely one for the books. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of adventure, this houseboat is the place to go. We hebben fantastische dagen gehad met onze jongens. Hele dagen varen, lekker eten en in de avond lekker op de woonboot. Enorme aanrader.

Francisco’s houseboat was outstanding. We loved everything about it - it’s spacious, tasteful and comfortable with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed having a glass of rosé and bbq on the deck as the sun went down - heaven. And Aalsmeer is a stunning location - don’t me miss the Garden Museum and cafe for a lovely lunch. Sad to leave

Awesome location, everything you need is in walking distance including connections to public transport. Hosts were extremely helpful, responsive, and flexible. Houseboats are a very cool way to experience the canal life of Amsterdam!
