Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans la maison de Seiko typiquement japonaise, joliment décorée, impeccablement entretenue. On s’y sent bien des que l’on ouvre la porte. De plus les échanges avec Seiko ont toujours été très cordiaux. Le quartier est magnifique et paisible et donne accès à plusieurs temples et pagode à pied. Que du bonheur ! Notre seul regret à été d’y rester peu de temps. Nous espérons avoir l’occasion d’y revenir. Merci. Seiko ! Elisabeth

We were met by our host to a lovely offering of Japanese tea and biscuits which was a great way to start our stay in Kyoto. The instructions to the property were clear and easy to follow. The property is located in a great area easily walking distance to all different bars, restaurants and train station. The property was exactly as picture and very clean. Would 100% recommend this property for your stay in Kyoto

We are a group of 7 people traveling to Kyoto for the first time. This listing contains 5 different houses and the one we stayed at is the Hana house. Note the Hana house has 1 shower/tub room, and 1 toilet room but we made it work! The house has a spacious living room and was a great space for us to gather after a full day of sightseeing. There is a Lawson and Family mart that is a few minutes walk from the house. You can get to many temples and shrines by feet including the Kyomizu-dera and the shopping street, all within 20 - 30 minutes. The host was very nice and gave us great tips and information on local recommendations.

The home is very special and unique. We are a family of two adults, a 16yo and 8yo. We all loved the home traditional aspects of the home with modern appliances. Even though the home is nestled into a neighborhood, it is a short walk to the gorgeous river, a huge grocery store and a little further are bus stops and train stations. The bikes were such a gift and we enjoyed using them. Although we didn't use them, it was thoughtful to have rain jackets and umbrellas available. Hiroe met us promptly even after a time change with little notice. She was efficient and thorough in her directions. We felt grateful to stay in such a lovely and comfortable home.

The Maneki Machiya staff were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire booking process. Our unit happened to be named "Cozy" but "cozy" is the best way to describe not only the houses themselves but also the nature of staying in this quieter, calmer part of Kyoto. The rooms are laid out very smartly and charmingly; a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of temple visits and river walks.

Our family of 7 had a truly wonderful stay at Kimi’s place in Kyoto. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a memorable trip. Kimi and his wife were incredibly kind and thoughtful. They even surprised us with gifts, which made our stay even more special. When we accidentally left an item behind, Kimi graciously arranged to have it delivered to us, showing such care and hospitality. Throughout our stay, communication was easy, warm, and helpful. We could really feel the heart they put into hosting, and we are so grateful for the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kyoto. Thank you again, Kimi and Marilyn!

这次的住宿体验感非常好，去环球影城只要10分钟左右，对于我们来说太便利了。 房间很干净、设施很全、厨房设施全，微波炉、冰箱等，洗衣机、洗澡间可以开暖气，如果洗澡怕冷的话，帮助很大。 还有好喝的咖啡☕️。 整个民宿有3层，楼下一间房，2楼是厨房，洗澡、看电视活动区，3楼有2间房，其中有一间有2张床铺、很适合带小孩的家庭。民宿总共有2个卫生间，一楼有一个卫生间，3楼2个房间时间也有一个卫生间。 民宿的位置很安静，房间大小也很合适，体验感极好。推荐，性价比高，2个家庭入住完全没有问题。 楼梯的话比较陡，老人，小朋友上下楼的话要注意一些。 下次还会选择这里。

Our group of 8 stayed at this Air BnB during our three night stay in Kyoto. This place has two floors and the top and bottom floor are copies of each other. I really liked that each floor had their own washer/dryer, fridges and bathrooms. The area has a lot of good restaurants and it is fairly close to Nishkiki market along with other attractions. The Air BnB comes with a booklet of recommendations for restaurants and clear instructions on the home;

Conversation was easy) Apartment clean and nice) All notable places of Kyoto easy reachable (metro walking 5 minutes) - Nishiki market must visit!) arigato gozaimasu!

The place is clean and nice, the host is very responsive. The only comment is no curtain in window its bright

May's place is conveniently located near Nishiti Market and public transportation. She was incredibly responsive and went out of her way to assist when I got lost. May personally messaged me directions, met me outside, and warmly welcomed me at the front door. An excellent host—I highly recommend staying at her place.

Notre séjour chez Asami à été exceptionnel! Le logement et le quartier calme et proche de la nature nous ont permis de saisir la vraie vie kyotoïte. Asami et Daniel nous ont beaucoup aidés en nous donnant des conseils. Ils ont même donné de leur temps pour nous faire visiter le quartier et nous accompagner à la gare avec nos valises. Les deux vélos mis à notre disposition sont un plus. Mais quoiqu'il en soit tous les transports, supermarchés et restaurants sont à côté. Je recommande vraiment cette adresse à qui voudrait un séjour à kyoto paisible.

Everything was fine. They were clear and responsive when you needed it. The place was nice and peaceful—a good location between the two main stations.

It is such an accessible place from the center of Kyoto! The host is kind and the room is so clean.

Excellent location! Senkawa station is a few minutes walk and it is around 25 minutes walk to Ikebukuro. There are convenience stores very near to the place.. I’ll definitely be staying here again when I next visit Japan! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a fabulous stay at Risas house. There was 8 of us together and we felt comfortable. Risa was very responsive with messages and very accommodating with being able to drop bags earlier. The location was spot on only about a 5 min walk to Dotonbori. Highly recommend Risas place to stay.

Fantastic location with plenty of amenities. The host was responsive to our contact and extremely helpful with local recommendations. The apartment was clean and tidy, and the elevator was a bonus as this doesn't seem common in Japan. They allowed us to leave our lugguge after check out while we explored Kyoto before departing the city. Overall this was a A+ experience and I would happily return.

友人7人と過ごさせていただきましたが、備品、部屋数、広さ、全てが素晴らしくとても快適に過ごせました！ 食器やタオルも清潔で、洗面所が大きくトイレ3つ、シャワールームも2つあり大人数でもとても過ごしやすかったです！ またすぐ近くに24時間営業のスーパーがありとても便利でした

A bit far from jr station ( 1 km ) but very near with bus station place very clean and comfy

A great place to stay in Kyoto on a nice quiet street but close to lots of nice restaurants and a short walk to the main shopping areas. The hosts were helpful and responsive, we would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect place to end our vacation :) So many places to walk to, and so close to the station. There is also multiple subway stations in the area that made it so easy to go anywhere. The futon provided were so comfortable!! We really enjoyed our time here!!

Great location and airbnb was clean and appeared as advertised. Plenty of space for 5 people. Hosts were extremely responsive and flexible.

This is such a perfect and cool place in Kyoto for a family of four. Great location for sightseeing and shopping. The windows have amazing views of the city and make for great people watching. The beds and futons are comfy. The 2 bathrooms are so convenient. The dryer dries well which is rare in Japan. The host responds quickly. We also enjoyed the Starbucks right downstairs and the hip rooftop bar above. Things to consider: It’s one big open space so you won’t get much privacy. And there’s only one large sink by the kitchen for both bathroom and kitchen use, which may be a bit awkward. But those were no problems for us. We LOVED our stay and would definitely stay again if we return to Kyoto.

We enjoyed this night in Kyoto so much . It’s a traditional Japanese house with all the elements we need. There’s a nice restaurant and also a famous cafe called ichikawaya nearby.
