This is a unique rustic cabin on a private dirt road nestled on a mountain brook in the forest adjoining the Giant Mountain Wilderness Area. This small (200 sq ft + 80 sq ft sleeping loft), Adirondack style cabin was completely refurbished this past year using locally sourced woods and built by hand. Located two miles from downtown Keene Valley, and at 1800 feet, this is an ideal place for those who prefer the quiet forest, the peaceful sound of a mountain brook, and possibily seeing animals.

With unrivalled proximity to the mountains, dining and shops are steps away. Resting after exploration is effortless here. With a suspended loft net in a vaulted living space, natural light pours in, while a propane fireplace ensures relaxation. Mountain View / Trailhead Cabin

The view of Marcy is amazing. The sound of the brook below is magical. The short walk to one of the main trailheads in the high peaks is a sought-after plus, given the dearth of parking there. Hikers feel at home amidst the mountaineering history reflected in the books and in the photos and paintings on the walls. The cabin is eco-friendly throughout: organic sheets and towels, wool blankets, wool rugs (except one), green soaps and cleaning products, mini-splits, energy-saving lighting.

The Shepherd's Crook at Blue Pepper Farm

Tucked in the woods on our working sheep farm, our off-grid tiny house is the perfect escape and stepping stone into the Adirondack mountains for hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. Enjoy the coziness of the Crook between forays into our north country wilderness! What you will find: adventure, peace, quiet, woodstove, candles, down blanket, fire pit, privacy, composting outhouse, firewood for sale. **Please note there is NO electricity and NO running water. Akin to glamping!

A 1900 farmhouse that has been in the family for generations. Recently renovated to accommodate up to 5 guests, it is clean with simple furnishings and a SPECTACULAR VIEW! Located RIGHT ON NYS RTE 86 (close to the road) with easy access to nearby attractions. The house is split in 2 and is designed for 2 families. I rent out "The View" using airbnb exclusively. My wife and I reside in the back portion of the house with a separate entrance and separate parking.

Miles of trails are outside your door for your summer or winter enjoyment. Fly fish in the brook just steps from the house or climb Marcy and the range from the front door! The cabin is cozy in the winter with wifi, a fully equipped kitchen and modern amenities. You will enjoy the entire property to yourself in a truly serene setting.

Silver Bear Cabin, 15 minutes from Whiteface!

This cabin is in the heart of the high peaks, 15 minutes from Whiteface, and 15 minutes from Lake Placid. It is nestled on a hill right off the main road, overlooking the village of Keene! It is within walking distance from all of the shops in town. Although the driveway is plowed, it is steep, so in the winter you will need four wheel drive. The cabin is off Rt 73, but it is tucked away and very private! You don’t see any neighbors!
