Nothing new to say that has not already been mentioned - this place is beautiful, and matches the photos pretty accurately. would definitely recommend for a unique stay and amazing sunsets. We really enjoyed everything about our stay. it was peaceful, private but still very close to all the action of town. the kitchen was well-stocked and we were able to make breakfast easily. We stayed with our 5 year old daughter, and caution just needs to be used with regards to the outdoor space for little ones, which we understood prior to booking from looking at the pictures.

Great place and amazing hosts! They also assisted to get little props and a cake to help me surprised my fiancee!

Magical honeymoon escape in Monteverde! This place was absolutely perfect for our romantic getaway. Tucked away in the lush cloud forest, the cabin was cozy, beautifully designed, and felt like something out of a fairytale. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying our coffee with those stunning views. The privacy, peacefulness, and charm made it an ideal honeymoon spot. The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Monteverde is such a special place, and staying here made it even more unforgettable. Highly recommend for couples looking for a dreamy escape!

¡Jose fue un anfitrión que fue más allá en todo momento! Desde que hice la reserva se encargó de dejarme saber todo lo necesario para tener una estadía cómoda y sin complicaciones. Dormí de manera formidable en la gran cama del lugar, con las almohadas tan cómodas que ofrecía y las cobijas ideales para el clima que nos hizo. Además, el jacuzzi fue un complemento estupendo para disfrutar aún más de nuestro viaje por Monteverde. Con un carro se facilita muchísimo llegar al lugar, y cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasar un gran tiempo en las cercanías de Monteverde. ¡Con gusto volvería!

This was the most beautiful view I have ever seen from a house. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice view of the mountains and Pacific Ocean. It was the perfect honeymoon destination. Excellent host!

Awesome space- saw some great wildlife. The environment of Monteverde is well displayed here. The hot tub and sauna were a nice touch. Nice space for a couple. Bathroom and shower were nice. We had a lovely time! Connected trails right to the Airbnb but we didn’t get a chance to explore. The host was very easy to communicate with overall!

Great stay in Monteverde. The location is beautiful and close to everything while also being very private and quiet. We enjoyed the trails right out the back yard and the STUNNING view from the patio. Juan was very helpful and when I forgot an item, he was prompt and helpful to get it shipped back to me at my next location. 10/10 recommend!

I slept great even though there wasn't air conditioning. there are multiple fans and the area is pretty well shaded. very pleasant space and amenities

Max CastilloApril 2025 My wife and I flew into Liberia and drove straight there. Utimately our only complaint was the address- it was very hard to find. After going in circles late at night, I decided to ask some locals if they knew where the place was. The woman I approached knew the host, and she spoke great English! She made a couple of phone calls, and her super cool brother hopped on his motorcycle and we followed him to the Airbnb! We didnt see any restaurants there, however there was a barbecue on the main street (literally in somebody's front yard), & we got some incredible kabobs, corn on the cob, and tortillas. We sat with them and ate; everyone was great there. For the price that we paid we were extremely happy to find it- it was a gem. Especially if you're tired and going to a farther destination and need a nice place to sleep. Great Stop between Liberia and Rio Celeste.

Great host, very friendly and accommodating! Great location, too. Far enough from town that you feel safe and secure, but close enough that it’s not an inconvenience to drive into town.

Un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. Principalmente para descanso. El hospedaje fue placentero. Contamos con lo necesario para disfrutar. Naturaleza, cocina con microondas, refri y sartén eléctrico para cocinar. Pequeño pero bien distribuido.

Mathi's place is gorgeous! If you're looking for a peaceful trip, this is your place! When you walk up the hill to get to the space, you feel a sensation of openness, surrounded by beautiful nature. When you arrive, you're greeted by beautiful views in a gorgeous, spacious, private and luminous wooden cabin that blends perfectly with the nature. I totally recommend this place to anyone that loves nature and to disconnected from the city and your routines in order to reconnect with yourself. Thanks for absolutely everything Mathi! 🙏

Totalmente recomendado. La cabaña es hermosa, limpia y cuenta con todo lo necesario. El lugar es seguro, tranquilo y privado. Sin duda, volvería.

Agréable habitation avec piscine pour soirées rafraîchissantes. Elle est située proche des plages , activités ( surf , tortues etc…) . Les hôtes sont agréables, discrets et très réactifs en cas de besoin

Francisco was a wonderful host and we would love to stay there again. Highly recommended! The cabin was perfect for us. Quiet, comfortable, close to the road to Monteverde but far enough out to feel secluded and peaceful. We saw a lot of birds (including the namesake Toucan) and enjoyed spending time with Francisco and his two elderly dogs - all very friendly and welcoming. We got great recommendations for tours and hiking as well as local restaurants and markets. The cabin was well furnished, the water was hot, the bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless when we arrived. Safe, secure parking included. All around great place to stay.

everything went smoothly, the house was very well equiped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The view and the surroundings are very very nice! Cristina took us around her little coffee plantation and we watched a wonderful sunset!

We had the most relaxing stay with an unbelievable view all the way to the Gulf of Nicoya! We loved this place and it was the perfect way to relax in Monteverde!

Nice place to stay in Monteverde! Excellent accommodations and lodging space. We opted for the additional breakfast in the morning which was delicious before our tour in the Cloud Forest. Would recommend to anyone staying in Monteverde!

EL SOL is extraordinarily beautiful! It's hard to describe how special it is- the gorgeous natural surroundings, the wonderful food, the unique and refreshing pool and the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. I could have stayed a long time and regret that our stay was so short. Thank you Susanne and Javier for such a wonderful time and the attention and love you have put into EL SOL! We will be back!

The owners of this property created a custom wellness retreat day for my friends and me, and it was truly unforgettable! We loved having all these self-care experiences—yoga, breathwork, meditation, and a sound bath—right in the privacy of the Rancho's open common space. The space opens up to beautiful trees and the soothing sounds of nature, offering a peaceful, secluded feel, while still being conveniently located. Just a short walk from the gate, there's a local market, nearby restaurants, and even the beach within a 20-minute walk. I highly recommend Surá to anyone looking to create a personalized retreat-style getaway.

Eine sehr schöne in der Natur gebetete Unterkunft. Nahe zu verschiedenen Stränden Abseits der Touristen. Die Nachbarn in der Umgebung waren alle sehr freundlich und ich habe mich sicher gefühlt. Nur mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Der Gastgeber war interessiert über das Wohlergehen. Kann ich empfehlen wenn man mal zur Ruhe kommen möchte. Vielen Dank!
