I came across this listing while looking for a place for my employees to stay and was fortunate to connect with Allison and Stephen. They mentioned the home had just become available after a long-term stay and, since there weren’t many recent reviews, they shared the downstairs listing, which had 25 perfect five-star reviews. It was clear people had loved their stay. They also managed to turn the place around in record time—immaculately clean and feeling brand new. My employees had nothing but great things to say. The stay was quiet and comfortable, even with another guest downstairs. The furniture was super cozy, the kitchen fully stocked, and the fireplace made the space feel extra inviting. They especially loved starting the morning with coffee on the enclosed porch and having a dedicated office space for work. The location is safe, quiet, and close to downtown. Allison and Stephen were fantastic hosts—responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. I’d definitely book again!

Absolutely amazing! Very quiet and peaceful, beautiful natural surroundings. Listening to the sounds of the water trickling over the beaver dam while you're sitting at the campfire. Watching the geese fly into and out of the pond. Hiking the trails around the property. The wood stove kept the cabin warm and cozy as the temperature fell below freezing at night. There was plenty to do inside, a dart board and foosball table as well as card games. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin is secluded, only heard one vehicle in the distance while we were there, but close enough to a store if you need anything. I am looking forward to returning as soon as possible. Josh is a great host and a really nice guy. He helped me get a camp fire going, showed me around and made sure I was good to go before leaving. I stayed the first 36 hours by myself, the peace and tranquility was just perfect. My brother and cousin came up for the next two nights and we all had a great time!

Had a great time at Brian & Melissa's! Was able to easily check in on my own time which was really helpful given my ambiguous schedule that day. The cabin was cozy, clean, and quaint. I really appreciated the aesthetic, and it was great being so close to town. They were very responsive too when I had questions!

Chris was an AMAZING host and he has a beautiful home. From the moment we booked, he was responsive, offered up great local recommendations, and he made us feel extremely welcomed with fresh donuts waiting for us when we arrived. This home has the elegance of being modern and clean while also being cozy and having so much character! We visited in the winter and it was a perfect home to have a warm slow morning in after grabbing coffee close by at the local bakery. We will definitely be returning!

The only reason I am giving this 5 stars is because I can't go higher. This is a special home in a beautiful spot. The lake is pristine, the town is charming, and the restaurants were delightful. The home is cozy and comfy - and Kathy responds quickly to any questions - do not hesitate to book. We stayed for 4 nights and felt so rested. She allows pets, we have small dogs and they had so much fun chasing squirrels and barking at birds. It was a wonderful spot to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. If we find ourselves in Skaneateles again, I will be booking this charming house.

Great Place!! this is our third year here. Snowmobile trail is right next to house!! Just need to remember rock salt next time. Driveway was a little tight with trailers, but no ones fault as it snowed so much . Which is what we wanted!!
