I absolutely fell in love with this place. Junko was an incredibly kind and thoughtful host—she picked us up from the station when we arrived and even saw us off when we left. Staying here felt like living in the Japanese countryside in the most peaceful and poetic way. The home was beautiful, and Junko had prepared so many thoughtful recommendations and plans for us to enjoy during our stay such as walk routes, bike routes. Highly, highly recommend!

We had a lovely time. The hosts were so kind. They even gave us a gift bag at check out! I could tell they really enjoy hosting and that was so fun to see.

Haru-san is a wonderful host and her place is in a peaceful, beautiful location surrounded by rice fields. Although there is a bus stop within 5 minutes walk to her place, she is willing to pick up and drop off guests up at the nearest train station. The place itself is private and fully furnished with all you need. I really enjoyed my stay there.

A beautiful place that’s really right in the middle of the tea fields in Wazuka! Mao and Tomo and great hosts, but far more than hosts. We were family while we were here. Mao is an enthusiastic force and has unlimited energy. More than that - I had an injury while I was here (not on premises) that I needed to go to a hospital for, and Mao instantly responded to drive us to the right hospital all the way in Nara, waiting while they operated and making sure I was ok. She went above and beyond and moved way past the role of host to make sure I was ok. She cooked for us and drove us all around to show us the sights of the surrounding areas. We had a great week here and really felt the beauty and peace of Wazuka. Despite the injury we were able to have an amazing time here thanks to the compassion and care of the hosts.

My wife and I experienced Japanese matcha culture during this study trip, while staying at a very authentic Japanese guesthouse. The guesthouse not only retained traditional architectural styles but was also fully equipped with modern amenities. It allowed us to enjoy comfortable accommodation while feeling at one with nature. Daiki also prepared incredibly delicious Japanese meals for us. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit.

This was quite possibly the best experience I’ve ever had. The home was beautiful. Nestled in a small quiet tea village south of Kyoto, it was the perfect stop gap between Tokyo and Osaka. Our host Maki was amazing from start to finish. We booked a year in advance and there was great communication throughout the entire process. She helped us out so much while we were there, she was extremely accommodating. I want to go on forever but honestly there isn’t much I can say to describe the time my friends and I shared. Unforgettable is the best I can do. We are already planning our return trip to Japan and have decided that staying here again is something that must happen. Do yourself a favor and book.

What a beautiful traditional Japanese home to stay We totally loved the old house, beautiful decorations, the inner courtyard and our room. Everything was perfect! Chieri is a great host, we felt very welcomed and home right away. We were on a road trip, so we also enjoyed that we could wash our clothes. And we tried out the traditional japanese bath. Perfect! Chieri, thank you for everything! Hope to see you someday again!

Nuestra estancia fue excelente. La habitación de estilo japonés era muy bonita, con vistas al jardín, amplia. Cada detalle estaba muy cuidado. Tuvimos la suerte de conocer mejor a Ikuko y Michael. Acudimos a una ceremonia del té organizada por Ikuko que fue súper interesante, conforme con la tradición japonesa. Al día siguiente dimos una vuelta Michael, incluyendo visita guiada de una plantación de té, donde degustamos una gran variedad de tés en un ambiente realmente increíble. Los anfitriones son gente muy amable, acogedora e interesante. Muchísimas gracias por todo y hasta la próxima!
