Natalie’s place was beyond expectations. It was in a great location just few mins walk to the subway, it was super clean with comfy beds and Natalie was the most gracious responsive host! Anytime we had a question, she answered so quickly and she was so accommodating with our luggage delivery. We have never been to Japan before, so there was a lot of uncertainty and anxiety about being in a new place, but Natalie made it go so smoothly and easily!! This guesthouse is in a nice quiet residential location but close to the subway so that made it easy to get around. We couldn’t have asked for a better host! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Kyoto!

Keita’s place is the best stay of my entire trip in Japan. I went with a family of four (2 adults 2 kids) and the place has a very spacious interior and with car park, outdoor dining and bbq area. 20 mins to Gransnow Okuibuki during winter which is a paradise to skiers and kids to play snow. The house has additional units of warmer which kept us warm during our stay. Owner gave us a surprise visit and curry packs as souvenir made from his own radish farm!

私自身が民泊2回目です。 オヤジ6人、京都から鯖街道を北上し、小浜をタッチしてこちらに宿泊しました。到着は17:30。バーベキューしたいとお伝えしたら、既にセット準備してくれていました。 チャリで買い出しいこうとしたら、PLANT-2までクルマで乗せていってくれました。 オッサン6人で肉を焼きながら盛り上がっていたら、焼きおにぎりや、息子さんが仕入れたカマを準備してくれたり。 朝ご飯は、かまどで炊いたご飯に魚と味噌汁。絶品でした。 つまり、ホスピタリティの塊のようなオーナーさんです。 そんなオーナーさんが管理されているので、家は清潔に保たれています。 今度は、家族連れていきます。

位子在伏見稻荷站附近，距離兩個車站都非常方便，出門左轉就有便利商店，買食物非常便利 入住當天因為行李眾多，詢問是否可以提早借放行李，屋主完全沒有猶豫，甚至給我們提早入住，體驗十分溫馨 謝謝屋主的慷慨，非常推薦大家可以前往住宿

We really enjoyed staying at this house for 3 nights. Spacious, comfy and well located - an awesome base to spend 4 days seeing the sights in Kyoto as a family of four. Natalie was super responsive. Pros: - Free bikes are amazing! We used them lots to get around - a highlight was riding down the river at dusk - Well stocked kitchen with nice touches (eg coffee pods) - Large living spaces - great to spread out after the confines of Tokyo - 3 min walk to the station (or just ride the bikes) Cons: - Next to a rail crossing, where the boom gates regularly ding into the evening (I wear earplugs so didn’t especially bother me)

Maison magnifique. Expérience magique. Tout était parfait. L'hôte est réactif et très sympathique. La maison se situe dans un petit quartier du nord de Kyoto, dans une ambiance de petit village. Prévoir un changement de métro pour aller au centre-ville et un peu loin de l'ouest de la ville où il y'a beaucoup de choses à voir mais ça n'a absolument pas été un problème pour nous car il y a tant de choses à voir autour de la maison, loin des lieux où il y a trop de touristes ! Les temples à côté de la maison sont sublimes et à quelques pas. Des commerces pas loin et également très proche du temple de Kurama et du village d'Ohara à visiter absolument. N'hésitez pas.

Our stay at Yamashita’s beautiful 100-year-old Japanese villa in Kyoto was the perfect way to end our 2 week vacation in Japan. The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped, perfect for our group of 12. It has everything you need and more. It has a serene garden, jacuzzi, and sauna—the kids especially loved the jacuzzi! Yamashita is an EXCEPTIONAL host—very warm, helpful, and accommodating. She drove us to supermarkets and places we wanted to go and even picked us up for a small fee. She prepared simple yet delicious breakfasts. She was quick to respond to messages and even guided us on using local buses. Though the house is a bit far from the touristy areas, the peace and quiet of Yamashita’s home made it the perfect retreat. It offered a more authentic and relaxing experience of Japan. I highly recommend Yamashita’s villa to anyone looking for comfort, culture, and outstanding hospitality. And to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in a traditional Japanese home.

Really enjoyed our stay in this cosy charming home which has a traditional feel just what we wanted to experience in Kyoto. The host was extremely thoughtful in providing above and beyond the basics such as milk, snacks, lovely coffee tea etc. We felt so comfortable right at home. We especially enjoyed the little courtyard garden with beautiful blossoms. Thank you so much! 😊
