Absolutely beautiful house with the most amazing garden. It had everything you could need, especially for the kids with the outdoor play area and hidden playroom. Ali was a great host, super responsive and very welcoming. We will definitely be visiting again!

We had a wonderful stay at Selby Cottage. The property was immaculately clean with lovely modern decor and lots of welcoming touches. Karen was a fantastic host, warm and friendly and hugely helpful and accommodating. Property is in a great location, easily walkable to all amenities in town. The outdoor space was lovely and an asset to have in sunny weather as forms a bit of a sun trap. The beaches at Alnmouth are only a 10 min drive away. Highly recommend a stay at Selby Cottage for visiting this beautiful part of the country and even better that you can take your pooch along!

An absolutely wonderful location. The cottage is immaculate: spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and fully equipped with everything you might need. The garden is lovely and offers breathtaking views. The surrounding landscape is stunning, with vast fields of bright yellow rapeseed in full bloom during April and May. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome and at home.

A beautiful home in a beautiful location. It's so peaceful, with lots of birds and wildlife. A short drive from Amble which is lovely. We felt really at home and had a great time!

The photos do not do the place justice - it is absolutely beautiful and so thoughtfully decorated. So much bigger than it looked online too and we had a great stay. The only issue we had was that the hot water stopped working mid way through the day. Elizabeth was super helpful and responsive to the problem but we had to be in Newcastle for early evening so it meant 6 of our party had to have freezing cold showers one day as the water took too long to come back on. Other than that, I can’t fault it. Surroundings are beautiful. So peaceful and yet close to shops, airport (25 mins), a gorgeous spa (matfen hall), and a 35 min minibus to Newcastle. Would recommend to all.

A beautiful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. A great place for a meeting amongst friends. Plenty of space, extra blankets for cold nights and a fire to keep warm. An amazing authentic experiences which was loved by all of us. This was a place to remember. Thanks.

We had a fantastic time at Emily's place. The location is so beautiful and peaceful but not too far from civilisation. We wanted an escape from a busy December and this was the perfect place for us. Everything was completely up to standard, worked perfectly, and surpassed expectations. We will definitely be visiting again in the future, maybe with my partner's child next time as he would love it too. Can't recommend enough!

We stayed in Amy’s house for 2 nights when competing in the local race. Place is as described in the ad. We had everything we needed. We liked the powerful hot shower!! Tv is tiny, size of the laptop. Didn’t bother us because we weren’t watching it, but if that’s what you wanted it wouldn’t be ideal. It’s a great value for money! With local shop, restaurant and takeaways within few minutes.

Last minute decision to have a night away and Toms place was spot on! Perfect peaceful location, the annexe is gorgeous with everything we could need. The hot tub was dreamy even in the drizzle as the sun went down over the fields. Tom was a great host firing up the hot tub for us and recommending the fabulous Crown Inn for a great dinner! Thank you!

Absolutely lovely house and in nice little village. Everything that was promised was delivered, we had a lovely little hamper too with tea and coffee which was a lovely touch! The hot tub was stunning and the garden was a very good size. Our only issues were that this was a 4 person hot tub, for a house that sleeps 5 so wasn't the best fit - also the kitchen lacked a couple of pans/equipment if you were wanting to cook each meal. But would definitely return again and would recommend!!! Thank you :)

This place really took us by surprise. We drove 5.5 hours each way, just to visit and our biggest regret was not booking longer! Worth every bit of the money and drive. The place was private and peaceful. Very safe and secure and very quiet so you can really enjoy yourself. Really feels like you have the whole place and surrounding areas to yourself! Utensils and appliances wise you could see Jane has real care and attention to detail, everything you could need or think of was provided. And that too of high quality not just your budget items. The bbq was a proper bbq which was a joy to use. The hot tub come with lighting and jets. Even the pots and pans were tefal! A lot of time and money has gone into it all. Garden was well lit also for those late evenings. Was lovely to meet Ben also. So much more to say but we won’t ruin all the delightful surprises! Very happy with the stay and we will be back for sure. Thank you! And see you next time.

The facilities were very clean, well lit, and well equipped. The restaurant provided good local quality food. The staff really friendly and hospitable. The setting on a Farm in nature with wildlife and birds to enjoy, and beach walking distance. Perfect holiday place, will be back again...again....

Lovely little stay amongst the trees. Felt nice to get a little off grid and back to nature. The lodge was well equipped with everything we needed, Sarah our host was fab with communication and helped us with extra wood etc when needed. We saw lots of lovely bird life and my partner lucked out seeing three deer in the woods by our place!

We really enjoyed our stay at Starling’s Rest! Whilst the home is tiny there is everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Amelia was responsive and helpful with local recommendation for us and our dog. We would definitely recommend! Thanks Amelia :)

Absolutely wonderful stay. My husband, daughter (13) and I highly recommend Alnwick Glamping Pods to everyone. The pod was immaculate and an extremely high quality build. The hot tub, wood burning fire and outdoor fire pit with seating area were a fabulous addition. We will return!

Lovely stay at a calm place. 20 mins walk to many miles of unspoilt coastline, walking on clean deserted beaches to fabulous castles and coastal landmarks. Just beautiful. A short drive to Holy Island and Seahouses but way off the beaten track. Loved the firepit evenings. Thank you
