We loved staying here. It is close enough to walk into Kona but still very private and peaceful. If you don't want the walk back after dark, you can get a Lyft for about $10. The house is perfect. They have thought of everything and it is a home away from home. It was spotlessly clean. We wished we could have stayed for longer. Stuart was the perfect host and the lanai was a truly wonderful space to relax. We would absolutely love to come back and stay again.

We loved our stay here. It was perfect for my fiancè and I, in terms of space. Loved being able to cook breakfast every day, enjoyed the comfy couch, and eating some meals on the balcony overlooking the water. Great location as well in terms of restaurants and beaches. We'd stay here again!

Aloha Gary! We stayed in your place next door a few years ago and had the time of our lives! When I spoke with you then, it turns out you knew my old Geology of the Hawaiian Islands professor, Dr. Carl Johnson. You mentioned our textbook was by your old professor--we still reference that text from time to time in our work as civil engineers on Hilo side. Jessica is just as full of aloha as we remember, and she even brought us an ono loaf of banana bread. We can't thank you enough for letting us bring our rescue kitty! She's only about 5 weeks old now, but our vet says she's in good health and even though she still drinks formula out of a baby bottle, she uses the litter box. I loved this place. Stayed here a week with my mom. The balcony is large and the view is amazing. Despite there being a pool from the apartment next door, noise was never an issue. It was a five minute drive to the downtown. The pool area was relaxing. Jason was very responsive and kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Such a beautiful property and the place was well decorated. We were concerned about there being no AC as we tend to run a little hot, however the winds from the ocean and the ceiling fans were more than enough for the end of april-beginning of may. We didn’t need the patio opened at night and we’re perfectly fine at night with just the ceiling fan but there are many other fans provided if you need. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Would recommend you stay here the views were absolutely gorgeous.

The setting of this house is spectacular, right in Kealakekua Bay. You can see the Captain Cook monument in the distance (we kayaked there from the property). The host provides literally everything that you could possibly need to explore the bay: kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel equipment, etc., and you can do all of this right from their own (rocky) shoreline. The house was well appointed with everything that we needed for the stay. We were glad that we had the cottage so we were separated from the other rentals. It felt private. If you stay in the summer it does get HOT in the house during the day, even with the use of their provided fans, but it cools off enough at night to get a restful sleep. Also, there is a rooster nearby, which didn't bother us East Coast early risers. It's a long drive from the main route down to this property. We recommend stopping at the local honey farm that you pass on the drive down. You'll see their products sold all over the Island.

Beth was a terrific hostess! She always responded warmly to us. Her home and lanai are amazing! And the EASY walk to Manini Beach was the huge cherry on top. Thank you Beth for the use of all the beach toys and snorkel gear!!

This condo was a perfect home away from home for our family of four! The lanai (balcony) has beautiful views of the ocean and the condo is walking distance from a phenomenal beach for snorkeling, swimming, spear fishing, and even turtle watching! Driving distance to many awesome places. The condo itself is equipped with the essentials for cooking just about anything which makes it great for anyone looking to avoid needing to eat out a lot. Will hopefully be returning some day! Thank you!

Le séjour était parfait . Le Logement n’a pas vu sur mer mais c’est possible de Manger à côté du BbQ donc c’est agréable . Un peu de passage routier mais quand on s’est dépensé toute la journée ce n’est pas grave . Sinon tout est facile en voiture . Merci Terri

We had the dream family trip of a lifetime. The kids loved the pool—morning, noon and evening except when we went off on adventures. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of a rocky beach. The house was roomy and well stocked with two large, long dining tables, one indoors and the other on an enclosed porch outdoors. Perfect for family dining. Joe and Anna were lovely hosts, pleasant and informative. We’d definitely recommend this home to anyone.

Russ’s beautiful penthouse is amazing to say the least. You are literally right on the water and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The car was fantastic and very nice. It is a very clean ride and in top condition. The beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve all slept in. The AC was awesome. Honestly, everything was perfect. Russ laid out detailed and well organized instructions, we had no questions or problems accessing the unit. I’m a light sleeper and it was a very quiet stay, just the sounds of the waves. The pool and hot tub downstairs (elevator worked great and easy to access) were fun and relaxing to use. Nice tenants and guests around and easy access to many beaches and restaurants nearby. In addition, we experienced a last minute very unexpected tragedy~Russ went above and beyond and was compassionate and helpful which completely made the difference for us during this time. 🙏 We would rent this place again hands down. We had an absolutely fabulous time in Kona, and Zhe & Sijie’s place was a huge part of it. It made for an amazing home away from home for our two-week stay. The home was exactly as described and as it appeared in the photos - if anything, it was even more perfect in person. Plenty of living space, the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch at the house each day, and the three bedrooms and bathrooms were a perfect fit for my husband and me, our son and my dad. The elevated deck was perfect for reading in the sun or watching the sunset and then watching the stars come out. The pool is small, but a nice place to relax between activities or at the end of a busy day. The house is also in a very nice neighborhood, very secure and close to a grocery store and quite a few restaurants. Zhe and Sijie were fantastic hosts, super quick to reply to any questions we had, and proactively communicating info about check in and check out. 10/10, highly recommend!!

This stay was pure perfection. Waking up each morning just steps away from the ocean, with cruise ships gliding in against the sunrise, felt like living in a postcard. The home itself was pristine, stylish, and clearly curated for guests who appreciate comfort and beauty. Every touch from the well stocked kitchen to the cozy lanai for morning coffee- made the experience feel first-class. The host was outstanding: responsive, without being intrusive, making the entire trip seamless. If you're dreaming of an unforgettable Hawaiian getaway, this is the place. We throughly enjoyed our stay! Pictures simply do not do justice to the stunning views and gorgeous sunsets!! The home is spacious, extremely comfortable, well stocked, and the big island decor was perfect!! Would recommend without hesitation and hope to return again soon.

We had a great stay with amazing close-up views of the ocean, huge lanai, a very well stocked and spacious updated unit. We even got to view some green sea turtles from the lovely lanai during our stay that made it more special! Highly recommend!

This house was in a beautiful setting with gorgeous grounds. it was very well maintained and comfortable. The house has lots of basics in the pantry and condiments. We loved watching sunset from the lanai through the trees or walking 50 ft to the Pier for a Bayside view (with dolphins often making an appearance). Excellent snorkeling at nearby Manini Beach Park (some of us jumped in at the Pier, too) and by kayak at the Cook Monument across the Bay, or at 2-Step, a 5 minute drive down the road. The AC was good but not usually necessary with great ventilation and fans. The bugs are definitely hoping for snacks, so vigilance to keep a tidy house is crucial (but this is to be expected and wasn't a problem). Dawn was very responsive to a few small problems, and when we couldn't get the dryer to work she had a neighbor offer his so we could finish in time to check out (the dryer was a smart dryer and it out smarted us). We really appreciated how Dawn responded so quickly and helpfully!

We absolutely loved our stay at Gail’s condo. The co do matched the photos and the location was fabulous. We absolutely loved the saltwater pool and listening to people blow the conch shells. Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us. We have made memories to last a lifetime.

The condo is absolutely beautiful and I could have easily spent every day of vacation there with the doors open, listening to the ocean and the birds. With two popular beaches on either side, it’s busy but inside it’s peaceful and private. The place looks just like the pictures. This will be one of my favorite places to stay for a long time!

The unit exceeded our expectations in every regard. Quiet and peaceful development, with close proximity to the pool. A trailhead for a short walk to the beach was just down the road, which offered easy access to the beach if you didn’t want to drive. We will definitely be renting this unit again.

Just as described. This condo is near some of our favorite beaches, but the beach is not necessarily walkable (at least not with our little kids). Pools were great - one has a very shallow end for toddlers that was a big hit with our crew. Our group was 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 7, 4, and 6 months) and we all fit nicely. AC and ceiling fans kept us cool, kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of beach gear - wagon, floaties, sun shade, etc. and plenty of beach towels. Our littles were comfortable here: pack n play with several sheets and mattress options, high chair, small plastic silverware/cups/plates, Condo had lots of little extras that some places miss: laundry soap, dryer sheets, dishwasher pods, trash bags, foil and plastic wrap, ice blocks for the cooler, olive oil, and basic spices. Great coffee bar too! Overall a great home base to visit the big island!

Our hosts were terrific! Very responsive. We received a detailed message with all instructions ahead of time. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay (even batteries!). They had games available, and all sorts of beach items available (umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, noodles, etc.). The pool at the condo was wonderful-we made several trips to the pool. The moment we arrived we knew the condo was exactly what we needed and that we had made the right choice renting this condo. We hadn’t even left yet and were looking to rent this again for our next trip!! We absolutely recommend this place to families!
