Shirakawa Seiryu-an, located on the east side of the Shirakawa River, is near Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera, and Heian Shrine, making it ideal for tourists. An 8-minute walk from Higashiyama Subway Station, Sanjo Keihan Station, and a bus stop, with 24-hour convenience stores and laundromats nearby. Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.

Komachiya is located in a local Kyoto shopping arcade lined with grocery stores, cafes and immediately puts you in Kyoto daily life. A short walk takes you to Shirakawa, a willow-tree lined river which meanders through the historical Gion area. Kiyomizu Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Heian Shrine, Nanzenji Temple and Philosophers’ Walk are all within easy walking distance. Very close from subway station and bus stops.

京町家 天の川 〔Maison à Kyoto Amanogawa〕

This is a nice place to visit Kyoto, just near the river Shirakawa, a really nice place sometimes used for movies or series. The house is near Chioin, Kodaiji, Higashiyama, Yasaka shrine. Just near the house, there is an old market where you can buy and eat Japanese food.
