Wow! What a place! It sounds a cliche but we will definitely be visiting again! Next time for more than one evening. We’re already looking through the diary for the next available weekend. It was everything we expected and more. We stayed as it was as close to an event we were attending that evening. Upon arrival we were worried about getting a taxi to an event as uber didn’t work well in the area. Jill (the host) kindly asked what time we needed to be there and what time we needed to be collected and she organised it all. She really went above and beyond what was expected and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for more

We had such a lovely, peaceful stay at Tim’s place. The lodge is even better than the photos and the quality of beds, linen, etc was really high quality - both the adults and children in our group all slept better than at home! The hot tub was a real highlight for us, brilliant size and ready for us to use as soon as we arrived. Tim was really responsive and available to answer any questions we had. Loved the location - highly recommend visiting “Outside” up the lane for a bite to eat and a drink

Lovely place with plenty of space and dog friendly. The hot tub was a great attribute, we all loved it. Finlake is great place, my daughter loves the pool and plenty to do in surrounding areas. Gina is a great host, very quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommended and we will look to return in the future.

Loved our stay , was very cosy and pretty place. had everything we needed inside. Hot tub and fire were a bonus. All the animals on the farm were lovely to see. layout was great. greta stay

What a stunning location. The climb down (but more importantly, the climb up!) is worth it. Loved being so close to the sea with such a wonderful view. the cabin is very comfortable and warm with an impressively well-stocked kitchen: plenty of crockery and cutlery; there is even a waffle maker! Be warned that the closest beach is a steep climb down (and back up - 180 steps plus a long steep slope) so be prepared for that. We were certainly fitter by the end of the week. We didn’t venture off too much - I preferred to sit outside and appreciated having 3 different seating areas to choose from. We used the hot tub nearly every night, with some wonderful sunsets and clear starry nights. The Halfway House at Polbathic served a great Sunday lunch (don’t confuse it with the one at Kingsand like we did - happens all the time apparently!) and Room Smiths and Player Ready in Plymouth kept our boys entertained when the rain was lashing down (we took the ferry over from Torpoint).

If you like quiet & rural this place is for you. Beautiful surroundings, quiet single track location, the site is well maintained & laid out with activities onsite. Laundry room is a bonus if your a family. Dogs felt right at home with the surroundings too. Would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely seaside-style cottage in Cornwall ! The house was cozy, beautifully decorated in a coastal theme, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The small terrace and charming courtyard were perfect for morning coffee or a quiet evening under the stars. We especially loved the view of the peaceful meadow just beyond the garden — such a calming and picturesque setting. Thank you for a perfect stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Pine Lodge. The place was so peaceful and is nestled in gorgeous scenery, with amazing views from the living room window and verandah. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice! It’s a cosy and characterful home - we came in the spring which can be cool and wet, but we were nice and warm indoors here. There are some beautiful walks right on the doorstep and we really enjoyed exploring the landscape. This would be the perfect place to take yourself off to if you wanted to sit and write uninterrupted with inspiring views and nature all around! Clare is a friendly and helpful host and we received a warm welcome, with a cream tea waiting for us on arrival. We don’t drive but had no problem getting a taxi from the station at Newton Abbot at the start and end of our stay.

Lovely lodge in a peaceful setting, nicely presented, good number of bathrooms, big fridge was useful, clean, cute, cosy.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Refuge. It's beautifully built and decorated, in a beautiful location that is, while peaceful, is only a short drive away from several lovely beaches and towns. Alex and Toby are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

lovely people, beautiful setting and enjoyed the local walks from the door. safe space for my dog in the enclosed garden. plenty of logs supplied for the woodburner. A very relaxing place to stay. would recommend to others.

What a little hidden haven ❤️❤️ So pleased we found it😍😍 a real treat to find a such a peaceful little place to just go and chill out the dogs loved a it too 🥰 And a added bonus to be able to roll down that lovely hill ha ha lol such fun 🤣🤣 who says we need to grow old graceful 🥰🥰😂😂 Thank you so much Tim we will be back!!

Just returned from a wonderfully, peaceful and relaxing stay, the location of the property is great, the views were spectacular, the hosts gave us all the information we needed and the property was exactly as the pictures showed and better, The property was very private a spotlessly clean, it was a great place to take our dog with many country side walks nearby Cannot recommend this property enough

We loved our stay at the Nest - the location is so beautiful & peaceful and the Nest was just as described. Felicity was very helpful, proactive and responsive welcoming us for check in, sharing local recommendations. We spent Easter there with our 3yo and Felicity left children’s books, toys for the bath & Easter chocolates which she loved! Looking forward to coming back!

We were so lucky to find this at such short notice. Perfect location. (Turns out I came here 40 years ago with my parents). Very quiet and safe. Great for families and easy access to all the great beaches on the north coast. The lodge was virtually brand new and has everything you need for self catering. Everyone on the site was friendly. Nice play area and walks around the site especially with a toddler in tow. Highly recommend and we’ve already talked about coming back….. if they’ll have us. 😬

We only stayed for a night, but the cottage was great! Beautiful surroundings, especially the walk to Lanteglos over the footpath was great.

We all absolutely loved the Alpaca retreat. Cozy cabins, lovely hosts and perfect surroundings. Wonderful place to unwind and get back to nature. The kids loved the Alpacas, chickens, ducks and pigs. We enjoyed the cabins decked area which had sun all day from breakfast to sunset and the evenings under the stars with a bbq or fire pit.

Stephen & Chris were perfect hosts, very friendly & not at all intrusive, quick responses to all communication. Forget Me Not Cabin is a wonderful, cosy location, it is really well equipped & the icing on the cake is the outside seating area set within its own private, little garden (we were lucky enough to enjoy some April sunshine)! Would highly recommend & will be back!

if your after an off grid experience to make wonderful memories as a family, this is exactly that. waking up to the sheep was so lush and kids loved sitting in the bedroom window seats watching foxes run through the fields. The bats are incredible to watch as night draws in, coming within feet of you. Alice is an incredible host, all the wonderful details and care that have been taken to make your experience wonderful. From fresh flowers to the nature friendly shower shampoos and soaps. A lovely touch was recognition of my wifes birthday with a banner and a little lemon cake for a brew when we arrived, among other locally sourced bread, eggs, milk and butter. These gestures prove that Alice attention to detail and taking note of our conversation prior to attending was on point. The position of the cabin is always the sun to hit the garden space all day. Shower and toilet facilities are cracking and well thought out. We will definitely be back Alice, thank you again.
