The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. Quiet country retreat 35 minutes south of Albuquerque. This guest suite offers ample parking, a private patio and private entrance from the patio. Bedroom, kitchenette and large en suite bathroom are all included in the space. Kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave, electric burner and basic cookware and dining ware. Cooking Oil, salt/pepper tea and coffee are provided. Bedroom has a queen-size bed and cozy fireplace. The owner lives on premises and is available to help with any needs.

Spend your free time exploring the river for miles on foot or wheel, or hiking in the high peaks of the Monzano Mtn range, or golf 18 holes only 1/2 mile away! This area is also home to migratory birds like the Sandhill Cranes who can be seen and heard flying in formation at dawn and dusk from Nov to March.

Relax, unwind, and unplug with a beautiful view of the Manzano Mountains in our cozy cabin. Mountainair was known as the “Pinto Bean Capital of the World” in its heyday and our land was used for dry-land bean farming. Remnants of homesteaders can still be found on the property. We now enjoy this beautiful location to raise Scottish Highland Cattle and can’t wait to share it with you! Our cabin will fit 2 adults plus a child comfortably with a queen bed and twin sofa bed.

Plenty of floor in the living room for multiple cots/air mattresses (1 Queen air mattress provided). Non-smoking. Pets are welcome, fenced area in the back. Large parking area for RVs, trailers, or multiple vehicles. I'm the owner Cindi Smith and I grew up here. Our town has perfect weather and lots to do. Come visit us!
