Harshani is a very warm and hospitable lady; we were very comfortable for our one night here. Great location about 5 mins walk from the beach, really lovely place!

You will enjoy the stay at Nimal. Place is close to Unwatuna beach 20 min walking and almost 7 min by TukTuk. The place is spacious and you can find everything you need. The area is calm, relaxing and safe. Thank you and will definitely come again

De beste plek tot nu toe in Sri Lanka! De kamer, keuken en badkamer zijn ruim, zeer schoon en fijn ingedeeld. Je hebt een warme douche en wc papier. Koelkast en vriezer werken goed. Je hebt een plekje om lekker te zitten en te eten. Het bed ligt comfortabel en de klamboe is goed! De familie is heel aardig. Je voelt je erg thuis. Locatie is naar ons idee ook perfect. Minuut lopen naar het eerste strand. Je kan er lekker op ligbedjes liggen en een kokosnoot bestellen (etc). Stukje verderop is schildpadden strand, wat leuk is om naartoe te gaan. Je kan fietsen huren, dan kan je ook naar andere strandjes of de omgeving verkennen. Al met al: een echte aanrader!!

Staying with Nalaka and his family was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had on our trip. From the very first moment, we didn’t just feel welcome, we felt like we were visiting old friends. They have such big hearts and were always there with a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. The place itself was even more beautiful than the photos. Everything was super clean, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. But what made our stay unforgettable was the way Nalaka and his family treated us. We had so many lovely conversations, and it always felt like they genuinely cared about us and our experience. He also cooked for us a few times, and the food was honestly some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. So if you’re looking for a real, honest, and heartwarming Sri Lankan experience, not just a place to sleep, but a place to connect, then you should definitely book this Airbnb. We’ll always remember this stay, and we’re so grateful we got to meet Nalaka and his wonderful family.

We had an excellent stay at this apartment and appreciated all the thoughtful details. Communication with Dakshan was smooth and supportive from start to finish - he was very helpful, always quick to respond, and offered great assistance whenever we had questions or needed guidance. The apartment itself was in top-notch condition, featuring powerful air conditioning, fast internet, and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The spacious layout and separate showers in each room gave everyone plenty of privacy and comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the modern yet cosy feel instantly made us feel at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly stay here again.

Had a lovely and relaxing weekend getaway at Gianluca’s beautiful apartment. The place is just a stone’s throw from amazing seafront restaurants and shops, perfectly located in the heart of Ahangama. It captures the town’s calm and quiet charm, while still being lively and entertaining. We woke up each morning to the gentle sound of ocean waves—such a dream. Gianluca was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and full of great local tips that made our stay even better. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We stayed at Sajeewa’s home for three weeks and could not recommend it enough. It’s spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to cook meals and save money on eating out. The gardens around the house are lush and invite lots of birds for watching in the early mornings. The balcony is such a highlight, it’s serene and peaceful, you could spend hours there chatting, working or simply staring into nature. Sajeewa and his family are so hospitable and very easy to communicate with, they made our stay feel very homely. Local shops are within walking distance and Weligama beach is a 20 minute walk at best. We would definitely stay with Sajeewa again if we’re back in Weligama.

We really loved our stay in the apartment. It's very nicely designed and has everything that's needed. Also, we really enjoyed cooking in the outside kitchen. The place has a nice working area if you ever need to be productive. Eva was a great host. She was there for us all the time and helped us a lot with everything. The beach is very close and several shops aren't far away.

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

An incredible stay! The accommodation was fantastic—stylish, comfortable, and set in the perfect location with stunning views over the water. We loved that it was just out of the main strip, offering peace and privacy while still being close to everything. Communication was excellent throughout; the hosts were responsive and helpful. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ces quelques jours chez Nilu. Jolie maison, joli jardin, Nilu et sa famille on été très accueillants. Idéalement située, à quelques minutes de kabalana beach dans un quartier légèrement en retrait de l’effervescence de la côte. Merci !!

Beautiful house in a calm space just outside of the busy Hiriketiya streets. The staff were so helpful and easy to communicate with. Some music kept us awake on Monday from a nearby bar, but finished relatively early and it only seems to be a weekly occurrence. Thanks for a great stay!

Harshana and family are excellent hosts. I was looking for a quiet vacation spot and that's what I found. Access to multiple markets for purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables, beach life including surfing lessons, rentals and cabana life, are all within walking distance. Suggestions for local specialties and eateris are encouraged. Treat bags gifts with Hoppers, and fresh baked goods made me experiment more with local delicacies. This stay will be tough to beat. Finally, Matara's people are friendly and helpful. As good as the world could ask for.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Blue Beach House! It’s such a stunning place, we felt very welcome and relaxed here. Check in was easy, Anna was lovely and explained everything in the house. We arrived a bit later, but the communication with Adriana went super smooth so that was no problem. It’s super well stocked which was so nice for us as we’ve been travelling around. Kitchen had everything (oil, spices etc) there is filtered water and also things like anti mosquito spray and extra blankets. We mostly loved the open kitchen and the garden. Also first warm shower in ages for us!! Aircon and fans work great, and so does the mosquito net around the bed. Also one of the better wifis we’ve had! Everything is clean and well maintained, you can see how much love went in to each detail. It’s an elegant but warm space and we loved spending our evenings at home (even though you’re also close to the nice restaurants of Hiri!) Would definitely recommend staying here!

This is the best accommodation in Galle Fort; traditional and comfortable house, beautifully styled in keeping with its history. So wonderful to be in centre of Fort, yet with a sea view! Wonderful Kanthi cooked delicious curry and breakfasts for us ....Perfect!!

If I could give Ben’s place 10 stars it would totally worth it! The most amazing Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Starting with the warmest welcome by the villa’s staff to the villa itself which is even more beautiful than the photos. We were a group of 4, and the villa suited our needs and much further. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped with small details in mind. The views of course are spectaculars and you basically have your own private beach. The area is private and quiet, you do need to take tuk tuk for the nearest village for restaurants and shops. Hirikiteya is 10 min ride and is a very cute village with some great restaurants and nice atmosphere. For us, this arrangement of being secluded but a short drive away was exactly what we were looking for. Finally, Lakshman the villa’s manager was super friendly, arranging tuk tuks for us in short notice and always very attentive.

We stayed at Sanjayas place for four nights. The family was super kind and helped us with local advice such as restaurants and must-sees close by. They arranged transport to the house and again when we left. Their hospitality was warm and made us feel welcome. We would definitly recommend this place to others.

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

I can't recommend this place enough. Directly opposite Pearl Divers if you are visiting beautiful Unawatuna for diving and only a few steps from the beach. The studio is beautiful, has everything you need and thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort. I was welcomed by Ranga with a refreshing coconut and everyone was easily contactable and able to help with any queries and to offer local advice about where to go out. I had an amazing stay at Crystal Villa Weligama, a perfect retreat for relaxation and productivity. The villa features 3 beautifully designed bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups. The cozy living room and dining area are perfect for unwinding and enjoying meals together. The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need, and with fiber optic internet, it’s great for digital nomads. Located in a calm and quiet area, the villa offers a large garden for relaxation. Just 800 meters from the beach and town, it’s a short 5-10 minute walk to enjoy the sun and surf. The neighborhood is safe and secure, ideal for families. The host, Ruwan, is incredibly helpful, ensuring a comfortable stay. Crystal Villa Weligama is one of the best places to stay in the area, offering comfort, convenience, and tranquility. I highly recommend it for both work and leisure.

Very worth for the price! Easy to walk to nearby beaches and cafes. Definitely hard to sleep in at all since the road gets quite loud with busses honking. The house is next to the forest/jungle so there are many small bugs like ants in the bathroom and sometimes the bedroom but it’s not so bad, just something to be aware of. The power went out a few times during our stay but apparently that’s pretty normal for this region especially if it is raining. Overall would still recommend for good location and price. Padma was able to do our laundry as well for a small fee

We had a wonderful stay at Sahan’s place - the location was perfect being a few minutes walk from Blue Beach on one side and Hiriketiya on the other with amazing restaurant/ seafood choices. Avisa was always on hand with great suggestions of what to do and he booked us lots of TukTuks and taxis, he was very helpful. He also served a great breakfast in the garden every morning. The only downside is that the living room part of the apartment became very hot, but the views to the sea from there were great.

The old chilli house really did feel like a home from home. In a great location Kris and his family were very warm and welcoming. Kris is a natural host and had contacts for anything we wanted to do. From Tuk Tuk and Scooter rides when needed to his amazing knowledge of the area. We were so lucky to experience this little slice of paradise. The old chilli house has beautiful rooms, with attention to small, homey details. Do not hesitate to book, it’s a popular airbnb for a reason!
