What a lovely home! I will be thinking about this house for a long time to come… perfect living room and bathroom. Decor and interior design is simple yet tasteful. Heated mattress to sleep on the tatami made for a restful sleep each night! Super lovely place.

Wonderful home, very clean, in a great location easy walk from train/bus station and close to Old town

We enjoyed our stay at Hironori’s place. It was very close to the morning market and older sections of town. It was very clean and in a quiet area. The kitchen was well stocked which allowed us to cook toast and eggs each morning. While it was a bit chilly, weather wise, there was plenty of heaters to keep us warm. The only negative was that the sleeping mats were not very thick so felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Otherwise, a great place to stay and would stay again.

A wonderful apartment if you travel as a family or as a couple, which perfectly combines its traditional Japanese features with modern technology and a very cozy and comfortable environment. We were very lucky with the weather, though we were traveling during wintertime, but one could also have a relaxed stay inside during a rainy day. It is located close to the center, but it is far enough to be very quiet and private at night. We felt very much at home from the very first minute, and we really enjoyed the recommendations in the kitchen that lead us to some more non-touristic food places. So, thank you very much for your kind service and the opportunity to use this place during our our stay in Takayama.

A nice modernised traditional house. Excellent location on a peaceful residential street right in the heart of Takayama. Good powerful heater in the main space on a chilly evening. Clean. Responsive host.

Spotlessly clean and well-organised! The apartment had plenty of clean towels and essential amenities. Free parking right in front made it super convenient for families. No staircases—great for kids and elderly. The bedroom fits two queen beds, with comfy linens. Bathroom and toilet were spotless. Quiet area, yet walkable to Kokubunji Higashi restaurant street and Valor Takayama Minami Supermarket. For breakfast, we enjoyed Rinrin Café (run by a lovely elderly couple), Nanten Café, and Pickin Café (20+ only due to smoking area). Nearby bakeries include Train Bleu (delicious French pastries) and Koti Koti (pretty cookies and baked goods). We also relaxed at the nearby public onsen, Tenryo-no-yu—clean and soothing. For nightlife, Dekonaru Yokocho opens from 5 PM to 3 AM with food stalls and local vibes. Perfect stay for families or anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and local charm.

the place is bigger than expected. there are multiple levels in the apartment. you need to go down a few steps to get to the toilet and shower, and then up a few steps to get to the bedroom. we were there in October and the bathroom was really cold - the window can't be opened or closed and is not fully shut. the temperature outside is the temperature you'll have in the bathroom. other than that we loved the place

Google Maps had trouble finding the address when copied from the description, but through some trial and error, I succeeded. otherwise the place was perfect location, nice, clean and comfortable beds. Thank you for a nice stay :)

We loved staying at this Airbnb! Conveniently located close walk to the station and everything we wanted to see in town. Would stay again!
