This home was everything we hoped it would be. It offered a peaceful location for our family (two kids, 4 and 2). The home was cozy and the recommendations from Nadia were great. We went to several of the recommended restaurants as well as the Teddy Bear museum and hiked the Rosendale Trestle. Truly a wonderful stay.

The place was clean, beautifully kept and well supplied- we loved the backyard! Gabriela was very communicative. Highly recommend!

My family had a wonderful stay in Danny and Travis' house. The interior was clean, beautiful, and matched the photos in the listing. The yard was lovely and quiet. We felt away from it all, while still being close to great hiking trails and dining options. Danny and Travis had very clear instructions for how to get in touch with them if we needed anything, but it wasn't necessary. It's clear they put a lot of thought and care into making the process easy for their guests, and we didn't have any issues. The only thing I will caveat is that the house is located off a gravel road, which was quite bumpy when we visited (mid-April). This wasn't an issue for us, but would be a good thing for potential guests to keep in mind.

Chateau René is the perfect peaceful escape. The home cozy and well maintained - exactly as pictured. The view made every morning feel like a dream. René was so warm, responsive, and accommodating. He shared great local recommendations and clear instructions for the house, which made settling in a breeze. The most special part of my stay was getting engaged here! René secretly coordinated with my now-fiancé and friend to make it all happen. His excitement and willingness to help meant a lot to us. Overall, 10/10 stay. We’ll definitely be back!

A hidden gem! This spot has a ton of character and the hosts are awesome! The lake and surrounding area is beautiful as well, with plenty to do for the outdoorsy type and cute shops and great restaurants within minutes. would highly recommend and hope to find time for a return trip!

Such a cozy space!!! My small family really did enjoy our peaceful stay. I would definitely book again when in the area. I felt such peace and serenity sitting under the stars, in front of the crackling campfire. It was me and the hubby with 2 of our girls ages 10 and 16. They loved the hot tub and s’mores:). We had the perfect stay for our Thanksgiving. Lots of toys for the kiddo, backyard for the dogs to run around, and a well-stocked kitchen for all our cooking needs (utensils, platters, etc). Sadly we didn’t get to use the play set or the fire pit due to the weather, but we hope to come back when weather is slightly warmer!

Second stay at Martin’s place and it was even more pleasant that the first. The house was very organized when we arrived, and the clean decor makes the environment peaceful and relaxing. It’s right off the road, but not noisy, which makes it convenient to go to Kent town center. We’ll be going back!

We enjoyed the lovely cozy, private cottage with our family. It was a pleasure to have the animals nearby for the kids to interact with, a safe environment to roam in the woods, and very convenient to have the farm shop a few steps away for local eggs, meats, etc. The cottage was stylishly modern with a clean aesthetic and modern conveniences. Josh was very accessible via text/phone and checked in with us during our stay. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would recommend to nature lovers, families, and those looking for a getaway in the woods!

Alex was a very gracious host. We had an easy check in and a great first night — the listing was as described and the location was very quiet and scenic. When a big snow storm hit and we had to leave early, Alex was quick to accommodate our early check out. Thank you for being a great host!

What a restful beautiful setting. Beautiful views. We really enjoyed watching the hens roam the yard. A super clean space, roomy and comfortable. Some cute towns nearby like Millerton, Hillsdale, Copake, New Preston, Millbrook. Kent Falls close too.

Nice little getaway during the cold season. The hot tub was excellent and about 100 degrees so perfect even with the cold temperature. It was still possible to put together a meal with the propane grill and warm things up in the microwave or store them away in the fridge. The heat was excellent in the space. Seems like it would be a great place to stay in the summer as well!

We were looking for a last minute peaceful four day getaway and we found it here. We can’t stop talking about it. Although relatively close to everything we felt as if we were in the middle of a forest. The only sounds were the chirping of song birds and a woodpecker in the morning. Local restaurants are great and for us a trip to Yale University’s free museums and nearby antique shops rounded things out. The house is charming and Rio, our host , made sure we had everything. The few things we forgot from home were there! Wonderful experience all around.

Darla’s cottage was such a sweet spot for a weekend getaway. Super cozy, clean, and peaceful—exactly what we were looking for. It felt tucked away in the woods but still really easy to get to, and just a few minutes down the road from Rough Cut Brewing, which was a big plus. We loved being able to grab some beers, then come back and relax inside. Darla was a great host—friendly, but gave us plenty of space. Would totally stay again next time we’re in the area!

Comfortable and clean with beautiful scenery - on clear days, you get a Mountain view across the lake! Highly recommend.

We had a really nice stay! The cottage was cute, modern, and had a fun, artsy vibe. It was spotlessly clean and felt cozy yet stylish, making it perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway!

The house was great, exactly what we were looking for at a really great price. Carla was responsive and flexible which made the whole experience better. It is right near a few nice small towns and out in nature which was exactly what we wanted.

Well thought out space. Quiet neighborhood. Has all the essentials needed for vacation. There is a chair in the bedroom that converts into a small single bed for a child. Nice backyard space.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for 3 months and enjoyed our time very much. We were very happy from every perspective: The cottage had all the equipment we needed and wished for. We sometimes used the fireplace and loved the bed/couch. The cottage is perfect to rest and focus. We enjoyed to have so much nature around us. We took a walk in the close park with a lake almost every day. We liked to live at a small farm with dogs, chicken and goose. Debbie and Kirk were always there when we needed them and also made us internationals feel welcome. They explained and helped us proactively e.g. changed regional weather circumstances. We also regularly got eggs from the chicken what was always a nice surprise. Communication/ interactions were always easy and friendly. I recommended my work to plan future stays for assignments in this Airbnb. In our opinion it is better than a hotel: Very comfortable, cozy, close to nature and a special American experience. T’s house perfectly matches my expectations, his hospitality and responsiveness went beyond satisfaction, everything inside the house is clean and full of details, the view and surroundings the house is breathtaking.
