Sandra and Rob are always really kind, thoughtful and helpful hosts and it is a pleasure to stay with them.

I had a wonderful stay. There has been some storm damage to the hut I was due to stay in so Linda called me and let me know she had plenty of other options and put me in a wonderful alternative hut. The hut was spotless, warm (with enough wood to keep me warm all weekend) and cosy. Linda was very friendly and responsive. Moonfleet is a beautiful place to spend some time away from normal life and feel in the country side. I can’t wait to go back!

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! Penny and Ant real nice people . If you want to unwind and go back to nature this is the place . The views and silence is perfect it’s a remedy . No 42” TV with mobile sockets everywhere this is off grid bliss , fabulous comfy bed in the hut and great shed for cooking , if your a 70s kid you’ll appreciate the shower and toilet , brilliant . Not just an over night stay but an experience of how things should be , regards Alan .

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hut. Fiona was a really great host who came out to us even though it was late and raining! The hut was super warm on arrival and it has an internal heater and towel rail which is nice. It was also nice to be welcomed with some baked goods which we enjoyed the next morning. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well. The hot tub was nice to relax in… you get all the stuff provided for it which is good and on previous experiences this isn’t always the case. We used the Fire pit and you get some cushions to use which are under the bed and extra blankets which again is really nice. It’s exceptionally well thought out and the lord of added extras make it really nice. Would deffo return

Already planning our next stay! We found the cabin really easily though it might be tricky if arriving in the dark. Absolutely fantastic location and surroundings. Beautiful views, peaceful, everything you need. It’s glamping so if you’re expecting that then you will be thrilled! Sat outside and had a drink in the sunshine, woke up to a herd of deer crossing the field in the morning. Plenty of great eateries around if you don’t fancy bbqing. The sky at night is absolutely stunning as you would imagine. Had everything we needed and stayed warm and cosy all night thanks to very good quality bedding and the little log burner. Cabin is cosy but we had enough space for our suitcase and the dogs crate too. Really special place and that’s coming from someone who’s not usually a camping/glamping girlie!

Thankfully we bumped into Sally’s neighbour who walked us to the site. ( we ended up becoming friends with them!) The accommodation wasn’t very clean, but it was well stacked with everything we needed and more. Beds and pillows were terrifically comfortable. Bath was heaven, evenings and mornings were paradise. Loved eating al fresco and the site contained everything to make us relax. A special thanks for bread, REAL coffee! Eggs, butter and milk! We loved it and would love to return. Just more attention required to housekeeping!

We have just returned home from a wonderful stay at Moonfleet. Our two young sons had such a fun time seeing all the animals and having lots of space to ride their bikes, they were always busy off exploring! The shepherd’s hut was very homely and was perfect for our few nights away. It was well thought out with warm blankets and storage and felt very cosy with the wood burner going. Linda was very quick to respond to messages and very friendly. Would also recommend the local pub the Fox Inn as we had a lovely meal there one evening. We’ll definitely be back again for another little holiday! Thank you for a lovely time!

Me and my partner had a lovely time staying in the shepherds hut, very clean and a very peaceful place! I would like to thank Alan for the help with the hot tub as we never used one of these before and sorting the shower as we had one problem but Alan was very helpful and came to help very quickly. Kate was a lovely host very quick to reply to any message if we needed help, as we arrived at the destination in the hut was left an Easter egg for us which was a lovely surprise! Overall very lovely place to stay if looking to go away for some alone time for peace and quiet. The Pub was around 5/10 minute walk.

Lovely place, great hosts. Could probably do with curtains and the shower is a little weak but that is nit picking. It is pretty much perfect.

A great place to stay and explore Dartmoor. The views from the hut are amazing and the hut itself is a fun experience. Simon is a delightful host and always quick to help out - Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Beautiful weekend at Anne’s place! Perfect location to be able to go to Bristol but also being surrounded by peaceful countryside and plenty of walks and lovely pubs close by too! The hot tub and outdoor area was the perfect addition!

We recently stayed at Andreas Shepherd's Hut in Cruxton, and it was a delightful experience. Nestled in a serene rural setting, the hut offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodation was charmingly rustic yet comfortably modern and the interior was well-appointed with thoughtful touches that made it feel cosy and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable and the small kitchenette was equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay which we made the most of both mornings and evenings. The hut's location was perfect. Surrounded by apple trees and rolling hills, it's ideal for leisurely walks, relaxing outside with the fire pit or enjoying the private space alongside the river. The lack of light pollution in the area allowed us to view the Milky Way when stargazing one evening which was the perfect addition to our stay. Andrea was super accommodating, ensuring that everything was in order and even dropped off a homemade Dorset apple cake!

Had the best time staying here for 2 nights. Very private location which was great, stunning views, and the hot tub was a great added bonus. Laura was a great host who answered any queries and even lit our hot tub fire for us when we struggled :) The hut was absolutely spotless and had everything you could ever need for a perfect weekend away. Very close to Bath which was an easy drive, lots of other nice, quiet villages nearby too with great pubs. Would highly recommend this place to anyone after a relaxing weekend away, enough room to bring a dog along too! Thank you :)

Great little space for a weekend away - secluded and quiet, we really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub in which we spent the evening looking up at the stars! The local recommendations were great too - went for a pie at a local pub which was brilliant. The surroundings of the field and farm animals + plenty of wildlife made it a very peaceful stay. The cabin itself is well equipped and the how-to guides for everything are very clear. Lovely touch of a prosecco bottle to arrive to as well. Rebecca was a great host and offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in her written guide. The location is very convenient for the Jurassic coast by car. Would definitely come back again!

We had a lovely couple of nights in Herdwick hut at Laverstock farm. The farm is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around it seeing the animals, particularly the pygmy goats, and even had a couple of games of table tennis in the games room. The area around the hut is very private and peaceful, although you could hear some chatter from the cottages above at times. The hut itself is really pretty and cosy and we loved being greeted by the cows in the adjacent field. The separate kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, with the added bonus of marshmallows left by the host! One thing to mention is that the shared washroom is a walk away, up by the cottages, but it was clean and offered products and towels. A relaxing and lovely stay.

Simply perfect! I'd like to say our stay was terrible so no-one else finds this fantastic hide-away but I can't. As soon as we stepped inside, we immediately relaxed. The decor and view create a peaceful environment that we all enjoyed. The pool and fire-pit were the kids favourite. Easy walk into Lyme Regis with lots of independent shops, fossil hunting and restaurants. Mike has been brilliant - communication has been excellent. We were all super sad to leave! Hopefully we will get back there soon.

Collie shepherds hut was just perfect! The hut was clean and well equipped, with some beautiful extra touches like crumpets and milk being provided. It had everything we needed for our weekend break. All bedding and towels were provided and there were things like a hairdryer for after the tub, blankets for a chilly evening and sticks to toast marshmallows on! The hot tub and fire pit were superb, and well used by us! It got soooo hot we were able to stay in for hours! The view was to die for- with rolling fields in front of us, with grazing horses, many different birds and the sound of cows and wildlife all around. It was in a very rural location which meant it was peaceful and tranquil. Lots of towns and cities near enough to get out exploring each day! The host was great at communicating and gave us a very friendly welcome. We would absolutely come back ❤️

What can I say?! Just amazing. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Fantastic host. Every little detail thought of and such a high standard. Loved everything about this stay. Will definitely recommend and more importantly definitely be back. Thank you so much Lou, it is simply perfect.

This has to be one of the most beautiful places i've ever booked, we spent the Easter break here and literally could have never seen another sole all weekend if we wished. The shepherds hut is so well equipped and decorated, small but perfectly done. The bed was so comfy and it was lovely to lay in bed and look at the wonderful scenery all around. The outside bath was just perfect to lay back in and listen to nothing but the birds singing away. We grilled fish on the bbq and sat around the chimenea, it was just the most exquisite place to chill out. Leave the gate open for the chickens to visit, they are absolutely fascinating to watch, feed them a little bread and they follow you around each day. We had the most amazing time here, you will not be disappointed.

100% recommend staying here. The pictures are exactly what it’s like in person and more! The attention to detail was amazing, everything you need for your stay is there. They even had hot chocolate and marshmallows for a cosy night around the fire-pit. Communication with the host was very formative, clear and in timely manner. We would definitely return as it is the perfect relaxing getaway but also walks/restaurants close. Thankyou so much!

The location of the hideaway was stunning, very private and overall very relaxing. Check in instructions were clear, directions were clear. The hut itself was very clean and had all the appliances that we needed. When we arrived the Hot tub was already filled and heated with clear intrusions on how to use. This little getaway was exactly what we needed to decompress and relax in the country side. Surrounded by birds, wild life and various animals. Jeni was very helpful, quick and responding, welcoming and friendly. Overall a fan experience, would definitely recommend and come back again.

Sally's place was the perfect getaway! If you're looking for somewhere that will be enjoyable for a dog who can be nervous of other dogs, this is a gem! No loose dogs, very secure garden, I could relax on the lounger or in the hot tub without worrying where he is or what he's doing. Sally is very dog savvy and has rescue dogs herself so was really understanding of my boy's needs which meant so much. The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us and had everything we needed in terms of facilities and ways to cook, everything thoughtfully done and a beautiful sunrise view over the fields. Great food options nearby, if you're vegan definitely check out Rob's Fish Bar for a really good vegan menu. Thank you Sally for a relaxing stay, we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Angela’s. A luxurious and romantic cabin with everything we could’ve needed. ‘Holly’ has a super comfy bed and we loved the wood fired hot tub, log burner and wildlife on the doorstep. Watching the stars at night from the hot tub was magical! We would definitely come again and recommend to our friends. Angela was really helpful and friendly and she has done a fab job with the cabin and fitting everything in to the space in a clever and stylish way. Thank you for an amazing and memorable weekend.
