I was blown away with this stay! Sharon and Nick are great hosts. They made the entire stay comfortable and smooth. The cabin was so cute, too! Clean, well decorated, and fairly well stocked with your essentials. The extra touches they put throughout the cabin put us over the top. The robes, the snacks, the coffee bar- We LOVED all of it and felt so spoiled and taken care of. The outdoor amenities was the chefs kiss. Highly highly recommend this stay!

Absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful cabin. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of peace and seclusion that made it the perfect escape. The cabin itself is incredibly cozy, warm, thoughtfully decorated, and stocked with everything you need for a relaxing stay. One of the true highlights was the hot tub, tucked away in nature and perfect for unwinding under the stars. The host was exceptionally responsive and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for a better getaway - this place is a gem, and I can’t wait to return!

We had an absolutely delightful and serene stay at Emkay's place. Nestled in the picturesque hills surrounded by towering redwoods, this spot is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind and rejuvenate. Emkay and his wife are genuinely wonderful hosts—kind, attentive, and welcoming in every way. The place itself exudes a cozy charm, with the peaceful ambiance enhanced by the soft, calming sound of a nearby creek that you can hear as you relax. It’s a magical experience to sit quietly, listening to the gentle burble of water while being embraced by the tranquility of nature. The quietude here is truly unmatched, making it an ideal place to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life.

Emkay was a responsive, attentive, and caring host. He responded kindly to our many questions and provided us with extra blankets, a lantern (it can get pretty dark at night), a hair dryer, and welcomed us to use his private home's yard for our dog's potty breaks (we did not end up using it, but we appreciated his thoughtfulness). The property is interesting and grows on you after a night or two as it has many interesting features (creek-side chairs, tall sequoia trees, a hot tub, a hummingbird feeder). The cabin is rather small and gets chilly in the night but the quaint decorations, quiet nights, and towering trees create a unique atmosphere and experience.

This was a beautiful and peaceful location for a weekend getaway with friends. The property felt very private, and we loved seeing deer wander by from time to time. We arrived before sunset, which I recommend if it’s your first time. The road is narrow, steep, and very dark at night. One of our friends returned around 11 pm and felt nervous driving back in the dark. Chris placed a sign at the entrance, which was super helpful since GPS points to the wrong path. The house itself could have been cleaner. The dining table was sticky, and the cover of my book actually ripped when it stuck to the table. This made us hesitant to eat there. We also noticed large cobwebs on the high ceilings. It’s understandable that the ceiling is hard to reach, but they looked like they had been there for a while. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the quiet, natural setting. A little more attention to cleaning would definitely improve the experience.

This might be my favorite rental house ever. It's beautiful, super clean and accommodating, lovely tree views out every window and the rental agency helped us out with early check in which made our trip feel so much longer. We may make this an annual trip.

My whole family absolutely loved and enjoyed this place! The surroundings were breathtaking and our dog loved exploring the grounds also. Home was very comfortable although I do wish it had some toothpaste since we forgot ours lol other than that my kids (18, 7, 3) all thoroughly enjoyed this stay and all the cool creatures and bugs they found outside. The weather was perfect for a fire pit with smores and a nice bottle of wine. We would most definitely stay here again!

Came to Brooke's cabin as a much needed respite from a remodeling project. Intentionally I had planned to stay a week but because this darling cabin was exactly what I needed, that week turned into a month! The space was modern and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the large front deck. The huge surrounding Redwoods provide a view through every window and lots of privacy. I couldnt have asked for a better host; if I was in need of anything,Brooke was quick to respond with consideration and kindness. Because my companion in all this was my 9mo old Corgi, I also appreciated that the entirety of the property is fenced. If you're thinking of visiting our incredible Redwoods in N. Ca., Brooke's space is a perfect option: inviting, peaceful, quiet and central to everything to do and see in the area.Although back in my own home again, I will actually miss Brooke's sweet cabin in the woods-it became my home away from home.

Cute glamping site with plenty of things to do! We stayed in the cabin with our family of 5 plus our dog. It was clean, had everything that we needed, and was close enough to town and the wineries.

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin! Falling asleep to the sound of the stream was just lovely and the bed is SO plush! We enjoyed walking down the small pathway next to the stream, spotting cute banana slugs and red newts amongst the redwoods. Rachel was very responsive for anything we needed. There is a shared wall to the home and the co-host living there was quiet and respectful. Location is everything! Being only 10 mins from town and its so easy to get to was pretty spoiling. We craved japanese food and boba which only took around 18 minutes to get wherever we wanted to go. Such a beautiful home you have! Thank's for offering it so others can experience the calm it brings. We went to relax and unwind, honestly didn't want to leave.

My family and I loved this beautiful, rustic cabin. It was the perfect size for our family of four. Not too big and not too small. It was very cozy and was just what we were looking for to get away for a few days. The location was great- we felt secluded enough, but not isolated. We enjoyed daily walking up the hill behind the cabin and counting banana slugs and newts, as well as playing games that were in the cabin. We would have loved to have stayed longer if we had more time off. If you want a nice, cozy, relaxing cabin to get away to this is perfect.

Really enjoyed our stay!

Recently-built, everything works. Small but efficient, good for two. Right amount of whimsy. Lots to look at from the big nice porch: long horn cows, horses, about 15 species of birds. We even saw a fox as we first approached. Loud frogs at night. If you like watching birds you can just sit on the porch for hours. Bed was comfy. Kitchen was serviceable, got the job done, but would not work for serious indoor cooking (two electric burners and a toaster oven). Good BBQ set-up though. Has all the needed hardware but definitely bring all the foodstuffs, condiments that you require e.g. mayo ketchup butter salt pepper etc as you can't just run down to some store. Did not need to run the AC or the heater in April, opening/closing the window facing the hill was enough Temp control. My goal was to stay in a place with a goodly amount of surrounding nature and be able to get to Pinnacles quickly, and this place fit that bill very well. Big porch + birds cows horses = win.

The Cabin was incredible! Breathtaking views and fully stocked game room for kids and those young at heart. The bedrooms had good quality beds and linen. The bathroom was clean and modern with a large quantity of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to cook delicious meals. Ernesto was proactive in communicating and alerted us when we accidentally turned off the timed lights outside. Our family of 12 had memorable moments in The Cabin during our stay in the Fall, and we recommend it to anyone wanting to have the ‘cabin in the woods’ experience.

Total privacy and well organized. Really nice place. Her instruction manual was like Grandma’s nightie—covered everything. Thumbs up. 👍

This was an amazing experience! Great secluded cabin surrounded by nature. Monterey and Big Sur are just short drives with beautiful views. Highly would recommend to others seeking out a peaceful getaway from the cities.

What a wonderful stay my husband and I had in Laurel’s beautiful “Green Cabin!” Her accommodation could not have been more perfectly located. She has created such a cozy and relaxing place especially after our spectacular redwood hikes around the surrounding area. The pellet stove/fireplace was perfect after a day out and about. Laurel has put a lot of love into her place which is evident in her attention to detail. We definitely hope to return!…And we highly recommend!

Enjoyed my stayed here! The host was very friendly and polite. The place was very unique. The walk down to the creek was so peaceful and nice. No complains. I recommend!

We loved staying here! There were lots of toys and bedding for our baby girl. There was a lot that was included when we got there like snacks. Great place!

Clean and lots of personality- like your grandma's cottage. Plenty of little nooks of space to relax in. Kitchen has everything you need. Lots of cool children's books and other books in a few "libraries," and we enjoyed the magazines, etc. Bed is definitely a double! Note that between the living room and bedroom, bedroom and bathroom the doors are like full-length folding shutters rather than doors. Was okay for us but good to know. Since we pay a cleaning fee, it would've been nice to not have to empty the trash and strip all the beds, towels, etc. All in all, it was a great location, cozy and quiet, tranquil and just what we wanted.

this was a unique place to stay while visiting and hiking around big sur. his house is about 5 miles up a narrow dirt road that is very steep and scenic (about 20 minutes of driving once you turn off of hwy 1). he coordinates with you during arrival so that you can follow him during the last couple of miles. we had a two wheel drive SUV and it is a miracle that we made it up the steeper sections. he was accommodating with our arrival as we were arriving later at night (about 10:30 pm) the cabin is above the clouds. it is very remote and you feel like a zen monk gazing down upon the world. if you are seeking a stay that offers isolation and contemplation then this may be for you. there were three grown men in our party and there was plenty of room for us to sleep. the cabin is running on solar panels/renewable energy. so the power and wifi were intermittent during our stay. the kitchen was clean and stocked with everything we needed to cook basic stuff. he's a great host!
