  • Excelente ubicación justo al lado de la M5 - excelentes anfitriones y la casa es de primera clase. No podría haber pedido un lugar mejor para celebrar mi 30 cumpleaños, la casa es espaciosa y está muy bien cuidada, equipada con todo lo que pueda necesitar. Afortunadamente el clima estuvo a nuestro favor, así que pudimos disfrutar del gran espacio al aire libre y tener una barbacoa. ¡Gracias por una estancia increíble y no puedo esperar a volver y visitar otra vez!

  • Este fue sin duda el escenario perfecto para el fin de semana de mi hermana. Tenía grandes expectativas después de ver otras críticas, mirar fotos y hacer mi investigación, y todavía estaba impresionado por lo hermosa que era la propiedad. El espacio de la planta baja está perfectamente preparado para el entretenimiento, sea cual sea el tamaño de tu fiesta, con la gran cocina y la enorme sala de estar. Las habitaciones eran preciosas y Fiona había dispuesto las habitaciones en suficientes camas para garantizar que nadie tuviera que compartirlas (no es que nos hubiera importado, pero había hecho las cosas mucho más fáciles). El jardín y el jacuzzi coronaban todo, ¡era la característica de nuestro fin de semana para los juegos de gallinas y relajante! Teníamos una comida temática española preparada y realmente no estaba seguro de cómo sería mi decisión en cuanto a mantener la comida almacenada hasta que estuviéramos listos, pero el chef llegó con todo lo cocinado y enfriado, perfectamente empacado y instrucciones para recalentar, todo fue muy simple y significaba que podíamos tener nuestra comida en el momento adecuado para nuestra fiesta cuando las cosas estaban en pleno apogeo. La variedad, la cantidad y el sabor más importante de todo fue increíble. Fiona fue una comunicadora maravillosa en el período previo a mi evento y realmente me hizo sentir cómoda y en control, nada era demasiado problema para ella y, mientras estaba en el lugar, ella y Spencer llamaron, enviaron un mensaje de texto o se alejaron de ayudarnos con cualquier cosa Necesitamos personas increíbles con conocimiento real de la zona y contactos para que sus arreglos cobren vida y su fin de semana sea tan especial como usted esperaba. La flexibilidad de la organización permitió que nuestro grupo familiar de 14 de 3 a 60 y perros x2 se acomodara para satisfacer todas las necesidades. Todo alrededor de la casa dentro y fuera y especialmente el lago al lado, es muy pintoresco. La casa está muy bien cuidada y limpia, totalmente equipada. Incluso incluyen accesorios, juegos y DVD si quieres ver películas junto a su hermosa chimenea.   • Esta fue probablemente la mejor experiencia AirBnB que hemos tenido. Contexto: Yo y 13 de mis amigos decidimos pasar una noche en Fiona's Lake House. Condujimos desde Londres. Pre-Estancia: Fiona fue más que servicial y receptiva antes de nuestra estancia. Todo fue extremadamente claro en términos de ubicación, procedimientos, reglas de la casa e instalaciones cercanas (por ejemplo, supermercados, estaciones de servicio, etc.). Además de eso, nos dio excelentes recomendaciones de restaurantes y paradas en boxes para el viaje. Ella también nos aconsejó sobre qué ver en los alrededores de la casa.   • Nos alojamos en The Lake House para la fiesta de cumpleaños número 30 de mi novio con 12 de nuestros amigos. Toda la experiencia fue increíble, la casa es tan hermosa y te deja pasmada tan pronto como entras, toda la decoración es elegante y hay mucho espacio para ir de fiesta y bailar. La enorme mesa es perfecta para comer juntos (¡y para jugar a la cerveza!). También hay un vestidor que fue muy divertido, ¡cuidado con los inflables que nuestro grupo dejó atrás! :RE Fiona es una anfitriona encantadora que te recibe en "tu" casa y te hace sentir como en casa, todo está bien explicado y se desarrolló sin problemas.     Serve dinner at a mid-century modern table in an open-plan space with white-washed hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. This polished coach house offers an atmosphere of tranquillity by way of its understated furnishings and muted colour palette.
    The accommodation is well suited to large families or groups of friends with an open plan living space that can accomodate everyone together while preparing meals or just relaxing. Our reviews show we offer a high standard of amenities and have just added an ice making machine for this very hot summer period. There is plenty of garden space to use during the day or a night including table seating with sun umbrella, a coal BBQ, and enough space to kick a ball about and excercise a dog. We are in Wellington Town Centre (just a 5 minute walk from the High Street) and is found up a discreet driveway in an extremely private and tucked away location. The owners house uses the same driveway entrance and but have their own garden. We are usefully on hand when you realise you have forgotten a key shopping ingredient...... Our accommodation is proving especially popular with guests visiting relatives in the local area, those attending events/weddings (Wellington, Oake, Taunton, Tiverton, Buckland St Mary) and short term stays for business travellers needing fast access to the M5 (which is just a 7 minute drive).
    The house is set in the small town of Wellington, with a range of charming shops and pubs within walking distance. There’s a nearby Art Deco style cinema that screens movies, as well as a leisure centre, a tennis club, and supermarkets.

    Peace and quiet for all seasons- Winter-chilling-reading, talking, cycling, bird and wildlife watching, painting, cosy at homes or cheery evenings in the Pub -bring your wellies! Summer-chilling out-sitting in the garden listening to birds, walking , Bbq-ing, picnics & all of the above! WE HAVE AN EXTRA TINY SINGLE ROOM- OFF THE SITTINGROOM -£10 per night minimum 3 nights- check if this is available- suitable for older children/young people- not for under 5's as distant from other bedrooms.
    Set in an almost secret valley on the edge of Exmoor but only 8 miles from Taunton the Hoccombe valley is the place to unwind. At night the only noises are the hoot of owls the sound of running water from the mill stream and snuffling of nocturnal wildlife. On clear nights as there is no light pollution, the skies are inky black and dotted with a million stars. The cottage itself has the feel of country living whilst retaining the comfort of a modern home. The modern paintings on the walls and the careful design of each room have been put together with an eye for style and comfort. The sitting room has French windows leading out to a terrace and the garden. The Mill house adjacent is the home of the owners who are on site if needed. Parents of young children should be aware that there is both a river and a pond close to the cottage. Hoccombe Cottage is a small detached barn which was converted at the end of the 80’s. It has been refurbished more recently to make a stylish and comfortable base for two couples or a family wishing to explore the delights of Somerset. It consists of:- A double with en suite toilet A twin bedded room (with cot) Included: All linen and duvets ,(excl cot) towels and Bathrobes hot water & central heating Bathroom inc power shower Sitting/dining room with French windows, CD player, radio & Colour TV, Well equipped Kitchen Electric oven & grill, fridge & freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, Microwave, Toaster and Kettle, iron etc. And one or two of life’s little luxuries!
    We have two lovely pubs for eating within 3 miles - The Fitzhead Inn 1.5miles (booking essential as it's tiny) and the New Inn at Halse 2.5miles.

  • Louise y David son unos anfitriones increíbles, pasamos unos días fabulosos en su maravillosa cabaña. Realmente es un pedazo de cielo y muy tranquilo, con fabulosas vistas y jardín. El pan y los brownies hechos en casa de Louise fueron una delicia, así como las otras cosas en el paquete de bienvenida.   • Tuvimos unas vacaciones familiares brillantes. El entorno es maravilloso, tranquilo y relajante e ideal para aquellos de ustedes que disfrutan del aire libre. El jardín y los campos alrededor de la cabaña son encantadores y hay buenos paseos por los alrededores. La cabaña es más espaciosa de lo que parece en las fotos y tiene todas las comodidades que cabe esperar y algunos detalles agradables, como algunos juguetes y libros para niños. In an elevated position in the centre of the village opposite the church and a 5 minute walk from both shop (open every day to 9pm) and pub.
    Milverton is a very picturesque, friendly village with a well-stocked shop open from 7am-9pm everyday, a gastro-pub and beautiful 13th century church, all very near to our house.

Perfect for a romantic getaway, beautifully and carefully equipped to a very high standard. Small and easy to manage, and really well equipped to make you feel pampered and spoiled. It has gas central heating, a wood-burning stove and under-floor heating in the bathroom. Wi-fi is available throughout the property.
    Stone Cottage has an unusual layout with just four rooms (kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom) each on a different level so you are never more than 6 steps away from the bathroom! Outside there is a seating area just a few steps from the front door, and a small elevated garden with a bench seat.
    Milverton is steeped in history; most of the village is encompassed in a conservation area, and many of the houses are listed. The atmosphere in the main streets is reminiscent of a Jane Austin novel. And if you are foodies, you couldn’t be better placed. There is an excellent village shop which sells high class local meat, organic veg, fresh fish, high quality frozen meals from the ‘Cooks’ range and even 13 amp fuses. It’s also an off-licence. Don’t want to cook? The Globe is just 150 yards down the road – a superb local pub which serves award winning food and local beers. In addition there is a local post office and a hairdresser. Surrounding Area Less than 10 miles driving from Exmoor National Park in one direction and the Quantock Hills in the other. Marvellous walks in all directions, all the way to the north Somerset coast, and you’ll often find there’s a good pint of beer to be had at one of the local pubs en route. On the north Somerset coast, about 20 miles away, you’ll find Blue Anchor Bay and a short distance away, Dunster and its National Trust Norman Castle. And if you like National Trust properties there are several more : Montecute House, Fyne Court, Lytes Cary Manor, Knightshayes.

    Our space is a quirky, comfortable, light and airy single storey cottage set in a Somerset village on the outskirts of Taunton. Parking is free and on street. The village shop and post office is next door; village pub nearby; the town centre is a 5 minute drive. We do not offer breakfast, but the village shop is right next door if you want to grab a pie!
    The bedroom is small, comfortable and warm - a lovely 3 foot single John Lewis orthopaedic mattress will ensure a good night's sleep. We have good, reliable, WiFi, and the room has a chest of drawers and hanging space for your use as well as a small desk. The bathroom is opposite the bedroom; during your stay you will have first call on this. There is also a separate , additional toilet next to the bathroom. You also have use of a small pantry containing a fridge and a microwave. We welcome walkers and cyclists. There is secure parking on the premises for your bike. We do have a cat, so please keep your bedroom door closed if you do not want her to socialise! The village shop is next door and includes a post office. There is also an independent butcher selling some food and drink to go. Village stores and PO opening times are Mon - Sat 7.30am - 6pm, Sun 8am - 12 noon. There is a small Co-op 12 mins walk away, open 7 days a week, 7am - 11pm.

    A double room in a town house, the room is bright and newly decorated. There are two single beds, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, storage, TV and wifi. A continental breakfast is available upon request. I will issue you with a key to the room upon your arrival so your privacy and security are ensured. A washing machine and dryer are available for stays of over 28 days. I have two cats, Casper and Peanut who have the freedom of the house but do not go in the guest room.
    Free on street parking is available. There is an hourly bus service to Taunton. The house has the usual amenities ie hot /cold water, central heating and wifi. The bathroom has a bath with a good over the bath shower. There is space in the garage for bicycles.
    Cotford St Luke is a quiet, modern village nestling at the foot of the beautiful, gently rolling Quantock Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a shop in the village and a very popular pub, The Chapel, a Grade 11 listed building and converted chapel, serving delicious Thai food, wood fired pizzas and the best of British cuisine.

    Situated in a quiet cul de sac the accommodation offers a double room in a private house. Access to a private toilet but the rest of the house will be shared . There is parking off street and a lovely garden to enjoy in the summer months. The house is within 10 minutes walk of the centre of Wellington, a beautiful town with much to offer in the way of independent shops. Just 3miles from Junction 26 on the M5, 8 miles from and 25 miles from Exeter. Excellent road and rail connections.
    Guests can expect a warm welcome, a safe and secluded environment and are free to come and go as they choose. This is a non-smoking household which does house an elderly dog, Bobby, who is a gentle, and somewhat deaf, dog.
    Wellington is home to many independent shops, a beautiful park, the nature reserve at Wellington Basins and, obviously, the tallest three sided obelisk in the world! The Wellington Monument, currently being restored by the National Trust. Wellington also has a community hospital and is just 20 minutes drive from Musgrove Hospital in Taunton.

    Luxury self-contained shepherd's hut on the Somerset/Devon border. Situated in the peaceful rural countryside with beautiful views across the rolling hills. Our spacious hut is set in it's own secluded garden space with patio area and firepit. Ideally placed for visiting the Quantocks, Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills, it is also close to a good range of shops in the nearby market town of Wiveliscombe.
    Our hut is brand new for 2020 and contains all you need for a relaxing stay. It has an en-suite shower and toilet with all toiletries and luxury Egyptian cotton towels provided. The kitchen area is well equipped with pots and pans as well as including a double induction hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and cafetiere. A welcome pack including tea, fresh and instant coffee, sugar, milk, butter, bread and eggs from our own chickens will be provided. The double bed has a super comfy mattress with plenty of extra legroom. Sitting in bed provides panoramic views over the countryside. The living space contains tables and stools and a small sofa as well as an electric stove for those cooler evenings. A selection of games and books are provided. Outside the hut is a bistro table and chairs and a firepit for al-fresco dining. Parking is beside the hut and you have your own private access to and from Shepherd's View with a keysafe for your convenience. The area is full of wildlife. We have counted over 45 different species of birds in and around the garden. The adjoining field is often visited by roe deer. The dark night sky allows superb star-gazing opportunities.
    Our shepherd's hut is surrounded by open countryside with many walks available. It has uninterrupted views across the neighbouring fields and over to the rolling hills of Somerset and Devon. It is a beautiful and quiet part of West Somerset. The River Tone with the West Deane Way alongside are just a few minutes walk away. The Quantocks, Exmoor and The Blackdown Hills are all just a short drive from the property. Walking books and maps are available in the hut for those wanting to take advantage of the outdoors. A number of National Trust properties are within easy reach. For garden lovers there are a number of properties worth visiting including Cothay Manor, Hestercombe House and Gardens and RHS Rosemoor (about 50 minutes away). The Rock Inn is a highly regarded gastropub and is just 3/4 mile away (15 minutes to walk). Winter closing is Sunday evening and all Monday and Tuesday. Wiveliscombe is a lovely little market town and well worth visiting. It still contains a good range of shops, 2 pubs, 2 breweries (with on-site shops), a fish 'n' chips shop, an Indian and Chinese take-away. Visit the Courthouse for morning coffee and homemade cake or a delightful fresh lunch. Sheppy's Cider farm shop and museum is just 25 minutes away. My stairs are quite steep, so please be aware if booking with small children or others who might find that difficult!
    This is a really good place to use as a stop off if you are heading down to Devon or Cornwall, being close to the M5 (j26) and between 2 and 3 hours from London and the Midlands. It's also a good base to explore the lovely local Blackdown Hills, and not too far from Dorset and North Devon coasts, and Dartmoor.

It is next door to a Domesday church, and the local pub is a five minute walk away. The property is about 1 mile from the Pontispool equine sports centre and 5 miles from Bishops Lydeard Station on the West Somerset Railway. Oake Manor golf club is about 1 mile away and Junction 26 of the M5 is roughly 3 miles.
    The Linhay has an open plan living and kitchen area with a sofa and small kitchen table. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, fridge (with ice box) and microwave. Complimentary tea and coffee. There is a mezzanine sleeping area with a double bed. The shower room ceiling is low, so it may not suit very tall people. There is a separate outside seating area. Off-street parking on private driveway. Stabling is available for an additional charge. Use of tennis court by prior arrangement.
    Hillfarrance church dates from the Domesday. The Anchor Inn is a five minute walk away. The Pontispool equine sports centre and the West Somerset Railway are nearby, as is the quaint town of Wiveliscombe in the Brendon Hills.

    Our cottage is located in a quiet and tranquil valley and yet we are just a short drive from Wiveliscombe Taunton and Wellington for all your shopping needs. The valley abounds with birds and all manner of native wildlife and there are numerous footpaths and bridleways on the doorstep so you can explore with ease. Part of the Wivey way goes through our garden! Exmoor , The Brendon hills , The Quantocks AONB and The Blackdown hills AONB are all within a 10 mile radius. We love it here.
    The Holt began as a garage but became a bit more. It is built from stone that was on site believed to be from an old mill cottage on the leat edge. The end gable is an oak frame and is glazed. Curtains do not do it justice so you will be able to appreciate the stars unhindered. (A room divider is provided for your privacy. )There is little light pollution here hence the stars fill the sky on a clear night. It is a cosy and warm space with excellent heating and a log burner as well. The holt has a mezzanine floor which forms the sleeping area and a central staircase rising from the open plan living area. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom. Outside there is a small gravelled area with the mill leat running alongside. The perfect place to soak up the evening sun. You have space to park in the carport or on the drive.
    This valley is just so wonderful to come home to. You'll have to come to see.

    The hut caters for two, with a double bed and storage. A kitchenette area has a small fridge, toaster and kettle. Tea and coffee is provided for you. There are stools provided and a little table. There is a self-contained shower and toilet. Towels provided. You have a private Garden plus the orchard if you want to stretch out. Make sure you say hello to the dairy cows, the bees and ducks. The hut comes with shared parking in the gated drive and its own entrance to the rear of the hut.
    We are set in the little hamlet of Gundenham, located next to the local dairy farm, Gundenham Dairy and with only 6 other houses around us we are a quiet little place. There are views of the Quantock Hills to the east and the Blackdown Hills and Wellington Monument to the South. In the spring and summer we are visited here by house martins and swallows and the bats come out in the evening, make sure you listen out for the owl, sheep and pigs too! You also get to see the cows in the next field and can watch them go in for milking.
    5 mins drive is the small market town centre, Wellington where there are plenty of independent shops, butchers and green grocers to looks at and a Waitrose and asda to stock up, there is also a lake, park and leisure centre too. 7 miles south west is Taunton for all your shopping needs, Vivary Park, the museum of Somerset, Hestercombe House and Gardens, the Bridgewater and Taunton canal, the willow and wetland centre, Sheppy’s Cider farm shop and much more. We are within easy reach of the M5. Other places local to us are a range of National Trust properties such a Killerton, wellington Monument and Knightshayes to name a few. We are situated on the Somerset / Devon borders so Exeter is 30 minutes away, The Beautiful Devon coast line with the famous Jurassic Coast, stunning beaches and wonderful walks are 45 minutes away and if you fancy a day of hiking, then the Exmoor national park is about an hour’s drive.

Estaba lloviendo mientras estuve allí, así que no utilicé el patio, pero incluso estar en la cabaña por la mañana con la puerta abierta y ver la vista, era precioso. La cabina se siente limpia, moderna y bien equipada, bonita decoración, y la cama era muy cómoda. Claire Louise fue brillante, y me sentí realmente bienvenida cuando llegué.     A lovely cosy Annexe, converted from a stone barn to a liveable space for upto four guests.
    Our Annexe is situated on a working dairy farm just outside Taunton with fields literally on the doorstep and the Quantock hills in view. Guests will have use of off road parking, their own drive and entrance, a private garden with surrounding stone walls. Guests will have the comfort of a log burner and an open plan layout. This is a lovely little retreat to the countryside for you to enjoy. The kitchen and lounge area are as one. Next door to this is a bunk bed on the ground floor next to the bathroom. From here, are steps to the mezzanine floor with a kingsize bed (please note, the steps are steep and may not suit everyone). There is a double sofa bed in the lounge area which might be more suitable for some people. The property is insulated, heated with a log burner and storage heater. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet, basin and electric heater. Clean towels are provided, please note towels must be kept at the property and not used for the beach etc. Also included are tea, coffee, (fresh unpasteurised milk from the farm is on offer), electric cooker, kitchen utensils, washing machine, fridge, small freezer, microwave, toaster, etc. The tv comes with NowTv and Amazon. The Annexe door opens out onto a patio, a perfect space to eat breakfast in the warmer months or have a drink in the evening with a lit chimenea and a fire pit to bbq on. The property has a tiled floor throughout and a secure garden. If you wish to bring your dog there is a charge of £15 for the first dog and £10 for any additional dogs so please let us know if you are bringing your pet. Poo bags and outside bin are provided and we ask they are kept off the beds please. We are surrounded by footpaths and fields for dog walks, please clean up after your dog. N.b Please note we have other listed accommodation on the farm in case there are more than 4 people.
    The Annexe is close to Taunton and, therefore, many places to eat and drink, either in town or a country pub, are a short drive. We are just off the Minehead Road, which leads to Bishops Lydeard and the steam railway station, Crowcombe and the Quantock Hills, Williton or Washford Mill and then onto Minehead, Porlock Weir , Dunster Castle and more. If you would rather go south, then we are approximately 30-40 minute drive to Lyme Regis and the Dorset coast.

Its separate front door can be accessed directly by foot using a side gate, or by walking around the main house from the off-street parking at the front. The apartment has its own patio and lawn, giving out onto the main garden which guests are welcome to enjoy.
    Milverton is a delightful, friendly picturesque village of Saxon origin, with many old houses. It has a beautiful 14th century church, an excellent shop open until 9pm every day and a gastro-pub.

    A peaceful setting but with easy access to Taunton and Exeter. We are a mile from Wiveliscombe which is a lovely town with excellent small shops. Perfectly situated for visiting Exmoor, the Quantocks and rural Somerset. The beach is under half an hours drive and there are some great pubs as well as good walking.

    We offer you a bright, newly converted barn, overlooking fields and lovely Somerset countryside with views overlooking the Quantock Hills and the Blackdown Hills. Open plan downstairs with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. Seperate downstairs toilet. Kitchen is equipped with washing machine, microwave etc and linen and towels. Two bedrooms, one with a Kingsize bed, the other a double. Outside has roomy parking and a patio with seating which catches the sun.
    Highfield Barn is newly converted from its previous use as a sheep shed many years ago. The views sweep across fields to the Blackdown Hills, Culmstock Beacon, Wellington Monument and the Quantocks. Lying in bed you have the Quantock Hills and Brendon Hills in one direction and Culmstock Beacon in the other from a vantage point! Although Highfield Barn is complete and ready to be enjoyed, on other parts of the property a small amount of landscaping and tree planting is waiting to be completed. This is outside of the boundaries of the barn and we are planning this will be done in the spring and it will be even better still!
    Although we are in the countryside there is easy access to the Quantocks, Brendon Hills and Exmoor as well as Culmstock Beacon and Blackdown Hills on the doorstep and Wellington Monument. The towns of Wellington, Tiverton, Honiton and Taunton are within easy reach. Wellington, being only five minutes drive, has many good eating places, supermarkets and local shops. Visit the museum for local history and there is also the famous Sheppy’s Cider to enjoy. Many footpaths surround the area. The local Pub is half a mile away offering good food. We are situated in the middle of both coasts so only 45 minutes drive to Watchet and equally to Lyme Regis.

Perfect for dog walkers, hikers, professionals working nearby, it is the perfect place to explore what Somerset has to offer. You can hear the wonderful 'choo choo' of the famous West Somerset Railway which we highly recommend you take a trip on if you have the time!
    The bedroom is very spacious, comfortable and warm. We have good, reliable, WiFi, and the room has a chest of drawers and hanging space for your use. The bathroom is just up from the bedroom which includes an electric shower in which you will have private access. We welcome walkers and cyclists. There is secure parking on the premises for your bike and also a car parking space. We have a very friendly cockapoo, so please keep your bedroom door closed if you do not want him to socialise! There are 2 pubs within 5 minutes walking distance from the house, an amazing farm shop, a brewery which holds great music & comedy nights at weekends, the village shop is a few doors up and includes a post office, there is a lovely tea rooms a short walk away which serves great coffee and yummy food for breakfast and lunch. There is also an independent butchers, a hairdressers, vets, doctors and pharmacist in the village. There is a small but very well stocked Co-op 8 mins walk away, open 7 days a week, 7am - 11pm. Pets welcome at £10 per night extra.

Hillfarrance Church (2 minute walk) & Bradford On Tone Church (1.7 miles). Cycle Route 3 also runs through the village. We are a 2 minute walk from the award winning Anchor Inn which serves lunchtime and evening meals every day.

    Bradford on Tone is a picturesque village that is very quiet. The local pub The White Horse Inn is 1 minute walk away and serves excellent food. Sheppys cider farm is 5 minutes drive away and also serves excellent food and drink. Old Manor golf course 5 minutes drive. Musgrove park hospital 10 minutes drive. The river tone is just over the bridge and has beautiful walks starting from the historic bridge.

It is a small self contained annex with parking and its own entrance, set in an idyllic position surrounded by fields and woodlands in glorious walking country. It comprises of a Kitchen/diner, bedroom (with room for a travel cot) and a bathroom. A thatched 15th century village pub, serving local ales and excellent food, is only 5 minutes walk alongside a babbling brook.
    There is a huge amount to do in the Combe Florey area, the village of Bishops Lydeard is 2 miles away with a range of Pubs, cafes, shops, Cedar Falls health farm and spa and the steam railway. Taunton, the County town of Somerset is 6 miles away and has a good range of shops, parks, a museum, mainline station and County Cricket . Exmoor and the Somerset coast are nearby. Bath, Wells, Bristol and Exeter are within easy reach. Several National Trust properties, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Lynton and Lynmouth, the Valley of the Rocks, Tarr steps, Watersmeet and Rosemoor and Bickleigh gardens are all about an hours drive away.

    Comfortable, private studio flat with double bed, its own bathroom (shower) in a grade 2 listed Victorian family house. Luxury continental breakfast included. Wiveliscombe is a lovely small town set in beautiful hills close to Exmoor and the Quantocks, 30 mins from M5 and Taunton.
    There is a comfortable double bed and separate sitting area including basic cooking facilities with sink and electric twin hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. You have your own shower room. You can make your own tea and coffee, with fresh milk in the fridge. So you can relax and do your own thing, you have a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice, yoghurts, croissants, bread, butter and home-made marmalade in your room. It’s private and peaceful whilst being in the very centre of the town. It’s a lovely sunny room with lots of natural light and windows on two sides with views over the garden. Wi-fi is available. Smoking is not allowed. As there is direct access from outside, it would be appreciated if shoes could be removed indoors. Wiveliscombe is very quiet at night so please be considerate of the neighbours.
    Wiveliscombe (or Wivey as it's known) is a lovely small town set in beautiful hills close to Exmoor and the Quantocks, 20 mins from M5 and the County Town of Taunton. The town itself is worth exploring and there are lovely walks from the door and further afield in the Exmoor National Park and in the Quantocks AONB. There is an open air heated swimming pool in the summer and the tennis courts are open all year round. There are historic sites to visit including National Trust properties and the North and South Coasts not far away for coastal walks and fossil hunting. The shops are a five minutes walk away with supermarkets open till 10pm every night. There is an award-winning butcher as well as a pharmacy, whole food store and other essential retail outlets, also a Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings. We have a new restaurant just round the corner called Duende. Also two pubs, an Indian restaurant, chippy, Chinese and pizza takeways and a delightful coffee house in another Grade II listed building called the Courthouse, an amazing eclectic furnishing store (think Liberty’s of London) that is well worth a visit. These are all within a few hundred yards of the house. Wiveliscombe is an old brewing town and still has two small breweries in operation – Exmoor Ales and Cotleigh - and the two pubs have micro-breweries Surfing at Woolacombe is an hour away and Exeter is 40 minutes away. There's something for everyone. We even have our own radio station.

    Grade 2* listed former residence of the Archdeacons of Taunton (including Thomas Cranmer, Stephen Gardiner) built in stages between 1350 and 1885, with a recently-discovered Tudor wall painting of Henry VIII in the great hall. In an elevated position in the centre of the village opposite the church and a 5 minute walk from both shop (open every day to 9pm) and pub.
    Milverton is a very picturesque, friendly village with a well-stocked shop open from 7am-9pm 7 days a week, a gastro-pub and beautiful 13th century church, all very near to our house.

    Ideally placed near many Somerset attractions, including the West Somerset Railway at Bishops Lydeard. Great for a cosy weekend get away, close to Taunton but still tranquil and rural. The Shed is our guest annex, detached from the main house. We are located in Halse, approx 6miles from Taunton and approx 6miles from Wellington. We are near to the Quantock Hills and Exmoor. The village has a pub, and there are pubs serving good food within a short drive. Now has Electric Vehicle charging point!
    The shed has its own parking and entrance with views of our garden. The Shed provides comfortable accommodation for up to two people, and the beds can be set up as two Twin beds or as a Superking ( let us know when you book). We provide bedding, towels . There are basic toiletries in the shower for you use, incl shampoo,conditioner and shower gel. Tea,Coffee and welcome pack(incl milk) will also be provided for guest use. A small fridge and microwave are provided. You can leave your dirty crockery outside in the box provided the property and we will wash them and return them by the time you return from your day out. There is a walk in wardrobe space with hanging rail. We provide a small fold up table and two chairs if you need them they are in the wardrobe. We are happy for infants to be included in the party, but you would need to bring your own travel cot. No extra charge for infants. Please note maximum occupancy is 2 adults and an infant. We are rural, and therefore mobile phone coverage is patchy, often non-existent. Our broadband is fibre optic but due to our location speeds will never match those available in towns or city’s, but is often 6-10mbps download speed. There is access to an Electric Vehicle charging point on site, access subject to availability( guest can use as long as the host vehicle doesn't need to use it!)
    Halse is a village that includes a conservation area at its centre, and is peaceful. We are on a no through road so the only traffic that passes are people who live along the lane.

    Wellington is a small town on the Somerset /Devon border well located for the M5 making it a great place to stay when wanting to visit many places in Somerset and Devon. The town itself has a number of small unique shops to idle away some time and plenty of grocery stores for supplies.
