  • Fue un poco difícil de encontrar debido al GPS. Tenía su ubicación correcta en la carretera principal, pero no nos mostraba el camino correcto para bajar de esa carretera. Terminamos encontrándolo yendo por el camino casi enfrente del camino que te lleva a Naunton (si alguien más tiene este problema).   • Este es un lugar único para quedarse! Pequeño, pero perfectamente formado. El clima era frío durante nuestra estancia, pero con la calefacción (y la maravillosa manta eléctrica) estábamos tan cómodos. Nos encantaba abrir la persiana orientada al sureste por las mañanas para observar la hermosa tierra y el cielo. Era muy, muy pacífico. Definitivamente nos quedaríamos de nuevo.

Chapel Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed cottage, which dates back to the 17th century, and is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, due to the River Windrush that flows peacefully though the village, Bourton has an abundance of attractions, including Birdland, the Cotswold Motor Museum, and the Model Village. There are also a wide range of traditional pubs, shops and restaurants, making Bourton perfect for guests of all ages. The village is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, and the many picturesque market towns and villages of the Cotswolds are all within easy reach, as are further afield places, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Bath.     Chapel Cottage is a semi-detached cottage, located just off Bourton’s High Street. The front door is accessed via the cottage’s front garden, and opens directly into the living room, with the following rooms on the ground floor: Living/dining room: This characterful room has exposed oak beams, stone mullion windows, and a large Cotswold stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is a three seater and a two seater leather sofa plus a leather pouff, as well as a pretty window seat.Other facilities include a Smart TV with Netflix access, and a DAB radio with an iPod docking station. The dining area has a lovely flagstone floor, and contains an antique wooden dining table with four chairs and a window seat, which overlooks the front garden; Kitchen: A doorway leads through to the country-style kitchen, which overlooks the garden. This well presented room has an electric oven, four ring gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a stable door out from the kitchen to the courtyard garden at the back of the cottage. A steep, winding staircase leads up from the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A lovely room with whitewashed stone walls and oak beams, which contains a double bed, a chest of drawers with a mirror, and hooks to provide hanging space; Bedroom 2: Another stylish room, which contains a king size bed, and hooks to provide hanging space; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash basin. Further steep, winding stairs lead up to the second floor room: Snug/bedroom 3: This room is a perfect hideaway in the lovely eaves of the cottage, complete with Freeview TV and DVD player, plus a selection of DVDs, books and games. The room contains a day bed, which can be made up into a single bed. At the front of the cottage is a pretty, gravelled garden, with a stylish wrought iron table and chairs, which is ideal for making the most of the morning sun. The stable door from the kitchen opens out into the private courtyard garden at the rear of the cottage, which also has an outdoor table and chairs, and captures the late afternoon sun. The back garden has a useful outbuilding, which contains a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is a 30-minute parking zone directly opposite the cottage, which is ideal for loading and unloading luggage, and two Pay & Display car parks are located a short walk away from the cottage.
    Bourton-on-the-Water is arguably one of the most popular villages of the Cotswolds, especially amongst overseas visitors. Having been nicknamed the "Venice of the Cotswolds", its scenery is the main draw for travellers. The River Windrush meanders through beautiful English countryside before passing over rapids next to the Old Mill and arriving at Bourton. The river is fed from many springs, with the source approximately ten miles from the village and, after flowing under the bridges of Bourton, it passes other villages before eventually joining the Thames. There are various attractions in the village, including the famous Birdland, which is home to a variety of birds from around the world. Here visitors can see parrots, pelicans, flamingos and penguins to name just a few, with experienced keepers feeding the birds and leading demonstrations. The Model Village is well worth a visit, as Bourton is the only village in the Cotswolds to have a one-ninth scale replica of itself. It is carefully maintained and has all of the characterful buildings including the Old Water Mill and the Old New Inn. Those lucky enough to witness snow in the winter months will notice photographers at the model village trying to get the perfect picture of the snowy scene. Another family favourite is the Dragonfly Maze. This yew maze leads visitors through the labyrinth, gathering clues in order to find the pavilion in the centre which enables them to unlock the final secret! The maze was constructed by Kit Williams, author of the golden hare treasure hunt book, "Masquerade". Food & Drink Bourton has a variety of places to eat and drink, including cafes, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, with a range of prices to suit all budgets. The list below is a small sample of the options available: The Chester House Hotel and The Croft Restaurant (www.chesterhousehotel.com): Breakfast, morning coffee, lunches and evening meals in a riverside restaurant. You can enjoy freshly prepared, local produce throughout the day and night, with seasonal specials added to the menu daily. The Duke of Wellington (www.dukeofwellingtonbourton.co.uk): A local village inn aiming to provide fresh home cooked food with a friendly service. There is a light snacking menu, a full menu and a wonderful range of desserts and hot beverages. As well as daily home cooked specials, on Sundays you can enjoy a traditional carvery with all the trimmings from 12-6pm. The Mousetrap Inn (www.mousetrap-inn.com): A traditionally run Cotswold stone Inn, with a history dating back to the building of the railways in the 18th Century. Serving home-made food, along with fantastic, locally brewed real ales. The front door leads into a kitchenette and a small sitting room and you have a downstairs small shower room with a good sized shower. Staircase leads up to the bedrooms and hallway links the two bedrooms and and bathroom, with a lovely roll top bath. This Is Bnb, a base to explore the Cotswold The kitchen area has a dishwasher, fridge, 2 ring hob and microwave. It is a small kitchen area for heating up food. Small sitting room with tv. The Bathroom features a stylish Rolltop bath. The first Bedroom has a super comfy double bed, decorative furniture. The second Bedroom can either be made up as a double or two single beds. All of your bed linen and towels will be provided. I provide breakfast for the first morning, Tea, coffee, milk, Juice, butter, jam and croissants. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine. It is a private self-contained coach house and you will be the only guests. Please come and go as you wish. Strictly no smoking in the building. I run a quiet Beauty Salon in my garden, please inquire if you would like to book in for a treatment! Guests also have access to the terrace, so you can sit outside and enjoy refreshments looking out across the glorious countryside views. No public transport from the village, but taxis easy to book. Lovely walks to some great pubs and Chastleton House (National Trust) Moreton in Marsh Train Station 4 miles away - Direct links to Oxford and London Paddington. I
    The neighbourhood is picturesque, steeped in history & very safe (since the English Civil War of the 1640's was concluded!) The Cotswolds is filled with lovely places to dine out - there is a nice village pub, The Red Lion, within walking distance. Please just ask for any recommendations of places to visit during your stay. Chastleton House is a mile away & described as the finest example of a Jacobean Country House in England. Little Compton has a Stunning Manor House with Saxon/Norman Church adjoining. The Walks from The Garden Room are spectacular, for example, an hour & half walk through fields will take you to Long Compton & another Red Lion for lunch perhaps?.. equally fabulous food. Traveling further afield by car or taxi, you have Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton, Stratford Upon Avon, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Woodstock & Blenheim Palace, Cheltenham, Oxford, all under an hour to get to & all beautiful towns.

    Come to our spotlessly clean cottage, up a long driveway, totally private and peaceful and relax in peace and total comfort and peace of mind. You will be able to arrive without any checkin, no contact with anyone, and you can relax in the middle of the most beautiful countryside location. In the middle of nowhere!. Discover the local beautiful Cotswold area. On our doorstep is Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh and all the local Cotswold villages
    Our Cottage has three double bedrooms and a very large bathroom with shower and bath. There is a large kitchen and large sitting room with television including DVD player. The cottage is immaculately clean, and during these times it is perfect for a home from home experience, deep in the countryside and you will have total privacy. For larger numbers of guests there is a one bedroomed cottage that sleeps 2 people less than 10 paces opposite which is let separately. The Cottage has a garden to enjoy. For weekends I book for 4-6 guests rather than smaller numbers as we sleep 6 but for guests of only 4 - I would require a minimum of 2 night stay over weekend unless prior arrangement with Jo
    We live closest to the beautiful Cotswold town of Chipping Campden, with Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold close by too. You should not miss Broadway either! We are also close to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Cheltenham
  • Perfecto perfecto perfecto! ¡La cabaña más hermosa en la que nos hemos alojado! La casa estaba limpia, bien decorada, cómoda, ordenada, era como estar en casa. El área de estar es excelente para pasar tiempo con su grupo, muy acogedor. También hay un gran jardín en la parte trasera de la cabaña que utilizamos todos los días, muy bien cuidado y encantador. La ubicación no podría ser mejor; fuera de las carreteras principales para que podamos disfrutar de un poco de paz y tranquilidad, a un corto trayecto en coche de pueblos encantadores como Chipping Campden. Y Jo fue un gran anfitrión! Ofreciendo respuestas rápidas y una cálida bienvenida. Pasamos el fin de semana más increíble y esperamos poder volver. ¡No te pierdas la oportunidad de quedarte aquí!   • Fue un placer estar con Jo. Ella es maravillosa y muy complaciente. La casa es hermosa, espaciosa y limpia. Un montón de espacio con todo lo que necesitas. Ella también tiene tres adorables perros y caballos. Nos alojamos por dos noches y disfrutamos visitar las ciudades cercanas. La cabaña de Jo está perfectamente ubicada si buscas un entorno tranquilo pero también quieres estar cerca de buenos restaurantes y lugares turísticos. También hay algunos fideicomisos nacionales que merecen una visita. Stratford Upon Avon está a poca distancia en coche, para todos los fanáticos de Shakespeare.   • Nos lo pasamos de maravilla en casa de Jo. Jo es un anfitrión fantástico. Ella siempre respondía rápidamente y enviaba de antemano gran información sobre pubs locales y direcciones a la cabaña. La cabaña en sí se ha arreglado maravillosamente: las habitaciones son limpias, espaciosas y luminosas, las camas son cómodas y la ducha potente. Posiblemente lo mejor de todo, la cabaña se encuentra justo al lado de un potrero y hay dos perros encantadores que viven al lado. ¡Incluso tuvimos la suerte de superponernos con la llegada de algunos cachorros! Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado más tiempo.

    Message to guest regarding COVID-19 Our properties are meticulously cleaned between visits and deep cleaned every month. However, because of the current situation, we have doubled up on this and are using bleach to clean every surface, in particular door handles, floors, kitchens and bathrooms. Generally there are more than 72 hours between bookings so this is helpful. When there isn’t this gap, we are deep cleaning. This means preparing the house may take longer than usual, so we hope our guests will appreciate that they may not be able to check in as early as normal or as has been previously agreed. We will continue to honour all our bookings. We are in a quiet rural and fairly isolated location, so the house is a refuge from the current situation! Our beautiful Cotswold Stone house is traditional designed but with contemporary interiors and facilities. Please contact Stephanie if the dates you want are not listed as available. The house has 6 spacious bedrooms, all ensuite, and all with stunning views. There is a comfortable sitting room with log fireplace and large TV. Also a large dining hall with long oak table and a fabulous kitchen with AGA and a circular dining table. All the rooms boast the most wonderful views over the surrounding countryside and all have french doors opening onto the terrace and garden. The house is open plan on the ground floor with the rooms flowing into each other with the dining hall in the centre. We now have a Hot Tub. This is suitable for 6 people. There is a £150 charge for the use of the tub so please ask for details. We also have a table tennis table, darts board and a croquet set so lots of fun things to do in the garden. The house is wonderful throughout the year, whether it is enjoying the sunshine in the summer months, or basking in the warmth of a log fire in the chilly winter. We love Christmas at Charingworth and the house will be festively decorated with Christmas trees, candles and decorations throughout December. Please abide by the house rules regarding noise. No amplifiers are permitted, unless by prior agreement. The house is also available for small weddings receptions and family events. We do not allow weddings with large marquees. We are very excited because we now have ultra fast internet , supposedly 300mbps but of course it's not quite as fast as that in reality. Still it is very fast especially for a rural location. The house has 6 good sized bedrooms and will comfortably accommodate 2 or more families, with comfortable fold up beds and sofa beds available in the bedrooms for children or adults. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room. It is also suitable for larger number, of up to 24 people, who don't mind sharing bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms are on 2 floors and all are a good size. All the beds are made up with high quality, white, high-thread cotton linen. Extra fold up beds or cots can be provided in any other the bedrooms - please just let me know and they'll be set up for you. Please note that for more than 12 guests there is a charge of £105/person capped at £420/night. So this means after 16 guests there are no extra charges. This covers the extra costs of setting the house up for larger numbers of guests. Soft white towels, complimentary shampoo, conditioner and bath and shower gel are provided in each bathroom. The larder cupboard will have some food supplies (herbs and spices, olive olive, salt and pepper, etc) which guests are welcome to help themselves to. There is a kettle for the AGA together with an electric kettle, Nespresso (please bring pods), Milk Frother and toaster. There are also cafetieres available. Also a food processor and other cooking appliances There is a TV in the kitchen. There are 9 sets of French doors opening onto the terrace on 2 sides. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, serving dishes etc. I am a keen cook and all my equipment is available for use by guests. If you require any particular item, please ask and I can let you know if we have it. The dining room also has french doors opening onto the terrace. This room has a long oak, refectory style table, with 10 chairs, but room to accommodate 12 with additional chairs available. For larger numbers we have 2 additional tables which can be used in various different configurations. This increases the seating capacity to 32. There is an Alexa Echo in the dining hall linked to our Amazon Prime Music account. Or you can link to your own accounts by downloading the Alexa App. Off the dining room is an inner stair lobby with stairs leading to the first floor, WC and Sitting Room. Also french doors leading to outside. The sitting room has 3 large sofas, 2 wingback chairs and further chairs are available if required. There is a log fire (with a plentiful supply of logs) and two sets of french doors leading out into the garden. There is a Smart TV, DVD, Sound system and Youview box, with recordable hardrive. There is also a library of DVDs and BlueRay discs available for our guests to watch. We also have a selection of board games, which you are welcome to use. This is a new house and the gardens are simply laid to lawn at present. There is a terrace around the house with garden furniture and parasols. Steps lead up to the lawn area. There is a large, dual fuel barbecue on the terrace (barbecue fuel and gas both provided), a chiminea, a pizza oven and plentiful outdoor seating, including 3 separate tables and chairs seating 22. The terrace has outside lighting and an exterior power socket and a darts board. We have another holiday home next door, The Apple Barn (which is also listed on Airbnb) and are happy to discuss the hire of both properties together.
    Charingworth is a quiet hamlet on the edge of Ebrington. There are fantastic walks nearby, a great local pub and lots to do nearby. The house is in the Cotswolds but also very close tonStratford upon Avon, Oxford and Warwick. The house is located in the middle of the Cotswold countryside. This is a rural location and the nearest village of Ebrington has a farm shop and a village pub. We always knew that our local pub, The Ebrington Arms, was special. Apparently The Times agrees. In 2017 it received the accolade of Best Village Inn and also listed it as one of the in the best summer pubs in the UK. In 2018 The Times again recognised it, by including it in their list of best 50 UK pubs. The pub is a short walk away in Ebrington. It's open all day and serves lunch and dinner (booking recommended) as well as snacks at other times. It also offers a very superior take-away fish and chips service. We are very lucky because we have several really good pubs nearby. The Churchill Arms in Paxford also has to get a special mention for excellent food and service. The chef/owner Nick Deverill-Smith, who used to be head chef at The Dean Street Townhouse (part of the Soho House Group) has appeared on Saturday Kitchen Live alongside Michel Roux. He and his excellent staff run a fantastic establishment. We are very excited to offer an exclusive menu at The Churchill to our guests, including a complimentary bottle of prosecco. This is about 20 minutes walk from the house and close to the village pub. Vegetable Matters offers 'fresh local produce and a warm welcome'. There are general stores in Chipping Campden and Shipston-on-Stour which are both within 4 miles of the property. There is a Waitrose in Stratford-upon-Avon which is about 15 minutes drive away. Ideally you will need a car, although, if guests prefer not to drive. they can arrange supermarket deliveries from Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco. The house is surrounded by beautiful rural Cotswold countryside with many public footpaths, including The Cotswold Way. There are numerous Cotswold stone villages and towns nearby, including Chipping Campden, Broadway, Upper and Lower Slaughter and Stow-on-the-Wold. It is also close to Stratford-upon-Avon and an ideal location for visiting both the theatre and this historic town. Oxford and Blenheim Palace, in Woodstock, are also only a short drive away.

    In the heart of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, converted from an old farm building in a contemporary style with inglenook fireplace and private garden with barbecue - perfect for all seasons. Available for family events and celebrations, including hen and stag weekends. Within walking distance of The Times Best Village Inn. Nearest town Chipping Campden. Close to Daylesford, Soho Farmhouse, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Bicester Village and countless Cotswold villages.
    COVID-19 information Our properties are meticulously cleaned between visits and deep cleaned every month. However, because of the current situation, we have doubled up on this and are using bleach to clean every surface, in particular door handles, floors, kitchens and bathrooms. Generally there are more than 72 hours between bookings so this is helpful. When there isn’t this gap, we are deep cleaning. This means preparing the house may take longer than usual, so we hope our guests will appreciate that they may not be able to check in as early as normal or as has been previously agreed. We will continue to honour all our bookings. We are in a quiet rural and fairly isolated location, so the house is a refuge from the current situation! The Apple Barn is a recently converted farm building which was originally used to store fruit and vegetables. It combines the traditional features of stone and oak floors and beams, with contemporary fixtures and fittings. We are very excited because we now have ultra fast internet , supposedly 300mbps but of course it's not quite as fast as that in reality. Still, it is very fast especially for a rural location. The house can comfortably accommodate a large family or group of friends that don't mind sharing. There are plenty of extra beds available, but obviously the more beds you add, the more snug the accommodation becomes and the more people sharing the 3 bathrooms. There are 2 good sized ensuite bedrooms on the first floor and a further 2 -bedroom family suite with one ensuite bathroom on the second floor. PLEASE NOTE - these 2 bedrooms are conjoined so they make up one large space and are therefore ideal for a family or people that don't mind sharing. The first floor bedrooms have king sized beds (5 foot). Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and a single bed. There is also space in this room for an additional fold up bed. (2 extra beds if you don't mind very little space between beds). Bedroom 2 also has space for 2 additional fold up bed, but the space is snug with the extra beds in situ. The beds on the second floor are Queen (4ft 6") and four single beds. There is room in Bedroom 3 for an additional fold up bed and we have even managed to fit 2 extra beds in here, although it's a tight fit. There is a large double sofa bed in the sitting room. Cots and highchairs are also available. I'm happy for up 16 people plus infants and pets to stay and there is enough room to seat 16 in the dining room, but it will make the common areas more of a squeeze, especially in the winter when the garden will be less usable. There are enough beds for 16-18 but you should be aware that the accommodation would be very snug if you had that many people sharing the facilities. Please note that the second floor bedrooms are accessed via a spiral staircase so not suitable for those with mobility difficulties or very young children (see photo) The ground floor is open-plan with a large sitting room, kitchen and dining room. There is a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room with log-burning stove, TV, DVD player, iPod connectable stereo (via aux cable or old style jack) and football table. The kitchen is well appointed with range cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, breakfast bar. and Smart TV. The dining room has a long refectory table with seating for 16 people. There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and downstairs cloakroom. All rooms are served by wireless broadband. There are two outside areas. At the front of the property there is a lawned area with terrace. To the side is a very private circular terrace with dining area and parasol. This is a particular sun trap and effectively creates an outdoor dining room in fine weather. We provide you with tea and coffee, salt and pepper, sugar and cooking oil. We also give you washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, fabric conditioner, foil, kitchen roll, clingfilm and loo rolls. At Christmas there will be a real Christmas tree and all winter there is a plentiful supply of logs for the wood burner. The bathrooms have towels and face cloths, soap, bath soak, shampoo and conditioner. There is also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. We don't expect you to use it but there is a vacuum cleaner and some basic cleaning products.

    A cosy Shepherd Hut, named Ronald, set in 60 acres of tranquil Cotswold countryside. Glamping at its finest with all the comforts of home in the great outdoors. Conveniently located 5 minutes drive from Moreton in Marsh, with direct train links to Oxford and London. Durhams Farm is home to over 30 much-loved horses and ponies. Horse riding experiences are available whilst you stay. The perfect location for couples, adventurers and equine enthusiasts.
    Camping may not be at the top of everyone’s list during the winter months but Ronald is a very reasonable alternative. We’ve kitted him out with hot and cold running water, heating and electricity too, so you can relax and enjoy all of the comforts of home, in the great outdoors. Ronald has a comfy fitted double bed, with storage underneath and all of your bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchenette is stocked with crockery and cutlery, a kettle, an electric single hob, toaster, fridge and sink. There is private seating outside your hut with beautiful views surrounding. Great for stargazing and the sunsets at the farm are beautiful. During the winter months, radiators will be added to keep you warm. There is a heated shower room a short walk (25metres) from the Huts in a blue cabin. Here, guests have shared (max 4 guests at any one time) access to a shower, WC and sink. Ideal for couples, friends and solo travellers! We have two huts available at Durhams - great for group trips! Apologies, we do not accept bookings for young children (under 10) and/or pets. Wifi is not available in the Hut but can be accessed on the farm all day. Visit the riding school reception to connect your device.
    Our Shepherd Hut is set in a stunning part of the Cotswolds within easy reach of picturesque towns such as Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. Stratford upon Avon, Cheltenham and Warwick are both within a 40 minute drive. There are miles of bridleways and footpaths to explore in the surrounding area and some great local pubs and restaurants. Daylesford Organic is 3 miles away too and well worth a visit whilst you stay.

La cabaña tiene todo lo que necesitas para pasar un fin de semana y no podríamos haber estado más contentos con el lugar. Es sorprendente lo que se puede adaptar a un espacio tan práctico en la cabaña. Nos gustó especialmente la fogata que encendimos y comimos afuera. La puerta del establo fue muy divertida.     The front door of Hope Cottage is accessed from the garden and opens into a hallway. The following rooms are on the ground floor: Kitchen/dining room: A beautiful farmhouse style kitchen, with oak beams, flagstone floor and Cotswold stone walls, this sociable room contains a wooden dining table with seating for six. The kitchen facilities include a beautiful Rayburn range cooker, with two ovens and two hobs, a separate four ring induction hob, microwave and convection oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, washer dryer and a Magimix coffee machine (without pods); Sitting room: A lovely, cosy room, with oak beams, exposed Cotswold stone walls and a wood burning stove in a large fireplace. There is a sofa and two armchairs, as well as a lovely writing desk. Family room: Next to the sitting room is the bright and comfortable family room, which contains two sofas and a flatscreen TV with a DVD player; Conservatory: Accessed from the family room and with French doors out into the garden, the conservatory contains a comfy wicker sofa and two chairs, and is a beautiful room to relax in during the warmer months of the year; Downstairs cloakroom: Contains a toilet and hand basin. Open sided stairs lead up to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: A lovely room, with a beautiful oak door and elm floorboards, which contains a double bed. The stunning private garden is to the front and side of the cottage, with all the rooms in the cottage looking out over it.     Longborough is a beautiful village of Cotswold stone cottages, set away from busy roads on a hill slope, which looks east over the lovely Evenlode Valley. The village is two miles north of the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, three miles south-west of Moreton-in-Marsh, and sits on the Heart of England Way. The village is best known for the Longborough Festival Opera, which presents a season of high quality opera each June and July. The intimate auditorium seats just under 500, with an orchestra pit for up to 70 players, and some of the most glorious views in England. The village is also home to St James' Church, a beautiful Grade I listed building, which dates back to the 12th century.

    Bracken Cottage is one of a row of former silk weaver’s cottages set on a quiet road in the village of Blockley. The front door opens directly into the ground floor living area: Living room/dining room/kitchen: This homely open plan living space has a cosy wood burning stove, wooden beams and a stable door with views across to the fields beyond. This room contains a sofa, a window seat, a Smart TV, a fold away dining table with seating for two, an electric oven, four-ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cafetière, kettle and toaster. Steep stairs lead up from the living area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 2: A smart room with exposed painted beams, a king size bed, bedside tables, full length mirror and chest of drawers (please note the chest of drawers is not for guest use); Family bathroom: Decorated in a contemporary style, this spacious bathroom has a bath with handheld shower attachment, toilet, wash basin and a cupboard containing a washing machine. Further steep stairs lead directly into the master bedroom: Master bedroom: A characterful and cosy room in the eaves which contains a king size bed, Smart TV, chest of drawers and vanity mirror. The bedroom leads into the ensuite bathroom which contains a walk-in rain shower with handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. The stable door leads from the kitchen into a wonderful landscaped garden with uninterrupted views of the countryside. The patio area directly outside the kitchen has a garden table with two benches, two chairs, a charcoal barbecue and a parasol. Three steps lead down from the patio to the lawn, bordered with timber beds along one side, and there is a further sunny patio and herb garden beyond. Free parking is available in the village car park opposite the cottage.

This honey coloured historic inn is covered in Virginia creeper which turns a stunning red in Autumn. Walk inside to the scents of wood smoke from the open log fires and snuggle into a comfy chair by the fire, to view the daily papers with a coffee or something stronger. Dinner is served in the warm and friendly restaurant with lighter meals and snacks available in the bar. The pub has two rooms: one is used as the restaurant and the other houses a pool table, juke box and darts board (dogs are welcome in the pool room). The Pub has recently been extensively refurbished and now boasts 1st class facilities and comforts. The spacious lounge bar/restaurant retains its period "feel" but has been re-furnished and decorated with great taste and care. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and friendly. Blockley Village Shop & Café (blockleyshop.com): The community owned shop and café is the hub of the village. The shop offers a wide range of basic groceries and necessities, and a tempting array of local products, including farm meat and free-range eggs, daily deliveries of local fruit and veg, freshly baked bread and locally made ready meals. Logs are generally stocked in winter. The licensed café is open all day, serving breakfasts, lunches, coffees and teas, and home-baked cakes. Take-away hot and cold food, including croissants, pastries and baguettes, is also very popular. The café, where free broadband is available, is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors of all ages.

    Alice Cottage is one of a handful of cottages set on a small quiet lane, yet only moments from Blockley's historic high street. There is one shared parking space in front of the cottage and additional, free street parking is readily available. A path through the garden leads to the front door, which opens into the sunroom and the rest of the ground floor: Sunroom: South facing and looking out to the garden, with exposed stone walls and a clear roof, this is a lovely room to relax in, whatever the season. Contains a wooden table and two chairs; Living room/dining room/kitchen: The heart of this cosy cottage, the living room area contains comfy seating for three people, a wood burning stove and an LED HD Freesat TV, with DVD player. There is a fold away table, for formal dining. The kitchen area is very efficiently and practically arranged, and includes a 2-ring electric hob, electric oven, Smeg fridge/freezer, microwave, Miele washing machine/tumble dryer, toaster and kettle. There is also a radio with an iPod dock. Stairs lead up from the kitchen area to a small first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: Contains a double bed and plenty of storage space.     Church Cottage is my home and I have a wonderful Barn to offer to you within the Cotswolds. The Barn was converted into a living space some 40 years ago and has been built with typical Cotswold style and stone. It possess all the latest utilities with a well equipped kitchen, WiFi, flat screen TV with Amazon Prime. We are blessed in this village with a great pub, a local village shop which offers lovely local produce food whilst the local pub - Coach & Horses will offer you a warm welcome.
    Church Cottage Barn is located at the heart of the village and attached to Church Cottage which is the main house. The main house is beautiful and is over 400 years old. Church Barn was developed from an old barn and is now a quiet relaxing space with the distance of Church bells.
    If you are looking for fine dining then Chipping Campden, Broadway, Stow On The Wold are a 'must' visit. In particular the Wild Rabbit restaurant and Daylesford. If you are looking just to walk to a local pub, then visit the Coach & Horses which is just a 2 minute walk. You will receive a warm welcome from the owners and locals with good food and local beer. If you are looking for activities, then we have some wonderful walks and in particular, some lovely views from Broadway Tower. If you are interested in playing golf with a view, then visit Broadway Gold Club and you will be amazed by the course and the views. We also have some wonderful attractions suck as Sudeley Castle which is bound up with Royal history and intrigue. These are just some of the things that you can experience in the Cotswold District.

    Cosy Corner sits in a short terrace of Cotswold stone cottages, on a footpath in the heart of Evenlode. The front door opens into a small porch, which leads through to the well laid out ground floor area: Living/dining room: A lovely, characterful room, with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, which contains a two-seater sofa, two armchairs and a window seat (microfibre cushions are provided). The comfortable dining area in the corner of the room has a round table and seating for four people. There is a SMART TV with a DVD/Blu-ray player, and a DAB digital radio with a wireless smartphone connection; Kitchen: Looking out to the garden, the well presented kitchen contains an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, fridge with ice box, slimline dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, Dualit coffee machine (compatible with Nespresso capsules), electric coffee percolator and milk frother. Bedroom 2: A bright room, with two single beds (hypoallergenic, microfibre bedding is provided) and a built in wardrobe; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with a handheld shower attachment, a walk-in shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. Stairs from the landing lead up into the lovely eaves room: Master bedroom: A characterful, cosy bedroom, with a double bed (hypoallergenic, microfibre bedding is provided), a comfy chair, plus a Freeview TV and a DAB digital radio. Directly outside the cottage is a bench and bistro table, and across the footpath in front of the cottage is a private garden. Laid to lawn with beautiful shrubs, there is a patio table with parasol and five chairs, as well as an additional bench, a charcoal barbecue with utensils, and a selection of garden games. At the end of the garden is a useful utility room, which contains a washing machine, two tumble dryers, and a freezer, as well as a shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. The utility room is perfect for cyclists or walkers returning from a day out in the countryside, and three adult bicycles and helmets are provided for guests to use (at their own risk). Free parking is available within 50 metres of the cottage, adjacent to the village green. Upon arrival, luggage can be unloaded adjacent to the village hall, approximately 20 metres from the cottage.
    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

The living room is also used for dining and it contains an extendable dining table, with seating for up to four people. The living room then leads into: Kitchen: For a small cottage, the beautifully decorated kitchen is very well equipped, including a cooker with hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer dryer. Returning to the living room, a narrow, steep staircase leads up to a small first floor hallway, off which is: Bedroom 2: A cosy bedroom, with exposed beams and brickwork, containing a double bed next to the stone mullion window, which looks out to fields and the brook below. The main bathroom is accessed via bedroom 1 and this contains a bath with handheld shower attachment, basin and toilet. The staircase continues up into the gable of the house, opening out to: Master bedroom: Another cosy double bedroom, with exposed beams and a stone mullion window, bedroom 2 also has an en-suite toilet and basin. Heading back downstairs and into the kitchen, double doors lead out into the fully enclosed, south-westerly facing garden, which contains a paved area and decking at the end of the garden.     The main door of the building opens into a communal lobby and The Sanctuary’s front door opens into a hallway, off which are the following rooms, all with underfloor heating: Living/dining room/kitchen: This smart open plan living space has been finished to a high standard with wooden floors and a high west-facing window which floods the living area with natural light. There is a sofa bed, a Smart TV with access to Netflix and a DVD player. An extendable wooden table with seating for four divides the living area and kitchen, and the latter has Shaker-style units and is equipped with an electric oven, four-ring induction hob, fridge, toaster, kettle, cafetière, water filter and dishwasher; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from the hallway into the master bedroom. The following rooms are on the first floor, both with underfloor heating: Master bedroom: This unique room has a stunning church window and a glass balcony overlooking the living area below. This room contains either two single beds or a king size bed, an elegant chest of drawers, a mirror, a writing desk with a comfy chair and radio; Family bathroom: This stunning space is dominated by the original floor-to-ceiling stone arched window, complemented by smart flooring and stylish tiles. It contains a walk-in rain shower with handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. There is free on-street parking a short walk from the property, and there are pay and display options close by if needed.
    Located in the north Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the principal market towns in the region. The main feature of the town is the historic market square which used to play host to the annual sheep fairs where, at the height of the Cotswold wool industry, up to 20,000 sheep were sold at one time. The market square is steeped in history and has two features which date back to the medieval period. At one end of the square there is the medieval cross which was erected to urge traders to carry out fair business under the eyes of God, and at the far end stand the town stocks which are found in the shadows of the old elm tree. Originally known as Edwardstow or Stow St Edward after the town's patron saint Edward, the town's church is also named after him. The church is just 100 yards from the town square and is a lovely place for locals and tourists alike to get some peace from the bustling market square. The north door is guarded by two yew trees and is a focal point of the town. Stow has traditional narrow alleyways, or "tures" as they were once known, which wind their way through the centre of the town. It is these same alleyways that were once used to channel the sheep to the fair. Another point of interest in the town is the well in Well Lane which is now a Grade II Listed Building. As a result of the rather unique geology of the area, water held in the higher layers of the limestone bursts out of various fissures on the slopes and two do still work as wells now. Food & Drink Stow has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit all tastes and budgets. There is a wood-fired oven in the restaurant, where you can watch your freshly made pizza cook; The Talbot: Laid back drinking, eating and coffees in a traditional meeting place for the town slap bang in the Square. White Hart (www.thewhitehartstow.com): A 'boutique' style Inn, which has recently been beautifully refurbished throughout. The Inn boasts two cosy bars, lots of open fires and an atmospheric dining room. Hearty food is served during the day, with finer dining in the evening. All food is sourced locally and prepared on the premises; The Bell (www.thebellatstow.com): The Bell at Stow is the perfect country pub. Behind the ivy-clad façade lies a charming, stylish interior with the warmest of welcomes. A favourite with the locals, The Bell is open all day every day offering everything from a pint of well-kept cask ale through to a delicious three-course supper. The front door opens directly into the main living area, with the following rooms on the ground floor: Living/dining room: The spacious living room is bright and airy, with lovely character features, including oak beams, a window seat, and a large, Cotswold stone inglenook fireplace, with a wood burning stove. The room contains two comfortable two-seater sofas, an arm chair, and a Cuban mahogany dining table that can comfortably seat four. There is also a Smart TV, with a DVD player; Kitchen: Two steps lead up from the living room to the well presented kitchen, which contains an electric oven with a four-ring gas hob, an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle; Shower room: A door from the kitchen leads into a large shower room, which has a beautiful limestone floor and is decorated with Orla Kiely wallpaper. There is a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, wash basin and toilet.     Blockley is a popular village in the Cotswolds which is found within a triangle formed by three renowned market towns: Chipping Campden to the North, Moreton-in-Marsh to the South East and Stow-on-the-Wold to the South. Being close to these three towns has led to increased footfall in the village, bringing with it good quality pubs and a lovely village shop/café. As the village is away from main roads, it avoids the heavy tourist traffic and so visitors can get a real sense of rural life, enjoying the rolling countryside which falls within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The peaceful Blockley Brook attracts tourists and locals as a quiet place to relax in the warmer months. This brook, together with the other brook in the village, played a part in Blockley's history as there were once 12 water mills which provided work in various industries over the centuries, including silk production and flour milling. There is also a dining table and two chairs; Kitchen: The galley kitchen contains an electric oven with four-ring hob, a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and cafetière, as well as a washing machine/tumble dryer; Bedroom: Two steps lead down from the hallway into this characterful room with sloped ceilings, a king size bed and built-in cupboards for storage; Bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash basin.     The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • Este lugar es maravilloso! Nos ha encantado tanto. El pueblo es adorable y está bastante cerca de todo lo que queríamos visitar. Había un mercado encantador en la plaza de la ciudad el día que llegamos. El registro fue fácil, la casa es absolutamente encantadora y se sentía como en casa. Los suelos eran un poco chirriante pero nos encantó! Desafortunadamente, cuando nos detuvimos nos pusimos una rueda pinchada y no pudieron traernos una de repuesto (no hay repuestos en alquileres europeos por alguna razón desconocida). No pudimos comprar un auto nuevo hasta tarde al día siguiente. Y a pesar de que eso nos molestó, no podríamos haber tenido un mejor lugar para estar perezosos mientras esperábamos. Hay muchos lugares para comer y una pequeña tienda de comestibles a la vuelta de la esquina. Condujimos hasta Stow on the Wold para cenar en The Porch House (¡fue fantástico!).

The wood burning stove creates a cosy feel in winter and there is a Smart TV with access to Now TV. This L-shaped living space has a separate area for the dining table, which comfortably seats five; Kitchen: A well presented space, complete with an electric oven, four-ring induction hob, a fridge with small freezer compartment, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and Tassimo coffee machine; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin.     The Chapel is located in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold. A blue door at the bottom of the clock tower opens into a lobby area which is shared with neighbouring apartments. The Chapel’s front door opens into a stunning entrance hall, off which are the following rooms: Living/dining room: This bright and stylish open plan living area has an extensive collection of wall art and a beautiful glass lantern roof over the dining area. There is a sofa and two armchairs positioned around a beautiful trunk serving as the coffee table, as well as a console table with Freeview TV, a Blu-ray DVD player, digital radio and Bluetooth connector. The lovely wooden dining table comfortably seats four guests; Kitchen: This well-equipped space is perfect for home cooking and features an electric oven with four-ring electric hob, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, kettle and toaster. A small round breakfast bar with two stools is located in the corner of the kitchen; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from the entrance hall to the first floor landing, which has a closet for additional storage space. The following rooms are off the landing: Master bedroom: A spacious and elegant room with lovely views over Sheep Street.     Located in the north Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the principal market towns in the region. The main feature of the town is the historic market square which used to play host to the annual sheep fairs where, at the height of the Cotswold wool industry, up to 20,000 sheep were sold at one time. The market square is steeped in history and has two features which date back to the medieval period. At one end of the square there is the medieval cross which was erected to urge traders to carry out fair business under the eyes of God, and at the far end stand the town stocks which are found in the shadows of the old elm tree. Originally known as Edwardstow or Stow St Edward after the town's patron saint Edward, the town's church is also named after him. The church is just 100 yards from the town square and is a lovely place for locals and tourists alike to get some peace from the bustling market square. The north door is guarded by two yew trees and is a focal point of the town. Stow has traditional narrow alleyways, or "tures" as they were once known, which wind their way through the centre of the town. It is these same alleyways that were once used to channel the sheep to the fair. Another point of interest in the town is the well in Well Lane which is now a Grade II Listed Building. As a result of the rather unique geology of the area, water held in the higher layers of the limestone bursts out of various fissures on the slopes and two do still work as wells now. Food & Drink Stow has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit all tastes and budgets. Sofas, original paintings, rickety old tables and chairs, with staff who are under the threat of death if they are not friendly! White Hart (www.thewhitehartstow.com): A 'boutique' style Inn, which has recently been beautifully refurbished throughout. The Inn boasts two cosy bars, lots of open fires and an atmospheric dining room. Hearty food is served during the day, with finer dining in the evening. All food is sourced locally and prepared on the premises; The Bell (www.thebellatstow.com): The Bell at Stow is the perfect country pub. Behind the ivy-clad façade lies a charming, stylish interior with the warmest of welcomes. A favourite with the locals, The Bell is open all day every day offering everything from a pint of well-kept cask ale through to a delicious three-course supper. Friday evenings are legendary for the Champagne Happy Hour at 5pm - grab a seat if you can as the weekend gets off to the perfect start!     Bury Fields Cottage is located off a farm track, just a short walk from the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. The front door opens directly into the main living area and the following rooms: Living/dining room/galley: This bright and airy space provides a comfortable and sociable living area and contains a sofa, two bucket armchairs, electric flame effect fire and a wall-mounted Smart TV. The wooden dining table comfortably seats four. A staircase leads up from the living room to a gallery, with two large bean bags, two wicker chairs and a bookcase with a selection of books and games; Kitchen: This space has been thoughtfully designed and features an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster and filter coffee machine; Master bedroom: This room contains either a super king size bed or two single beds, and a combined chest of drawers and wardrobe; Bedroom 2: Another lovely room featuring a double wooden bed and a built-in cupboard; Family bathroom: Contains a walk-in rain shower with handheld shower attachment, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail; Utility cupboard: Contains a washing machine/tumble dryer. Outside the front of the property there is a lovely decking area for guests to enjoy, surrounded by beautiful planters this area contains comfortable chairs, a sun parasol and a gas barbecue, as well as an outdoor table-tennis table. A safe, locked storage facility is also provided for guests who are keen cyclists. There is space on the driveway at the front of the property for up to four cars.
    Bourton-on-the-Water is arguably one of the most popular villages of the Cotswolds, especially amongst overseas visitors. Having been nicknamed the "Venice of the Cotswolds", its scenery is the main draw for travellers. The River Windrush meanders through beautiful English countryside before passing over rapids next to the Old Mill and arriving at Bourton. The river is fed from many springs, with the source approximately ten miles from the village and, after flowing under the bridges of Bourton, it passes other villages before eventually joining the Thames. There are various attractions in the village, including the famous Birdland, which is home to a variety of birds from around the world. Here visitors can see parrots, pelicans, flamingos and penguins to name just a few, with experienced keepers feeding the birds and leading demonstrations. The Model Village is well worth a visit, as Bourton is the only village in the Cotswolds to have a one-ninth scale replica of itself. It is carefully maintained and has all of the characterful buildings including the Old Water Mill and the Old New Inn. Those lucky enough to witness snow in the winter months will notice photographers at the model village trying to get the perfect picture of the snowy scene. Another family favourite is the Dragonfly Maze. This yew maze leads visitors through the labyrinth, gathering clues in order to find the pavilion in the centre which enables them to unlock the final secret! The maze was constructed by Kit Williams, author of the golden hare treasure hunt book, "Masquerade". Food & Drink Bourton has a variety of places to eat and drink, including cafes, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, with a range of prices to suit all budgets. The list below is a small sample of the options available: The Chester House Hotel and The Croft Restaurant (www.chesterhousehotel.com): Breakfast, morning coffee, lunches and evening meals in a riverside restaurant. You can enjoy freshly prepared, local produce throughout the day and night, with seasonal specials added to the menu daily.     A cosy small compact self-contained ground-floor Annex with en-suite double bedroom, separate living/dining room with kitchenette, own entrance and free parking space set within a house in the beautiful village of Longborough. Even though the annex is within our house, the main house living area is not adjacent to the annex so it is completely private. There is a community run general store/cafe and great pub within walking distance. Located between Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh.
    The annex has everything you need with its own private compact living/dining room with TV. Separate double bedroom and en-suite shower room. Towels are provided. There is also a small kitchenette within the living room containing cooker, hob, fridge, sink. All crockery, pans, utensils are available. There is an allocated parking space and private outdoor seating area. It is perfect if you are visiting the Cotswolds and Longborough Festival Opera
    Things to love about Longborough are the peace and tranquility, the friendly local pub and the community run village store and cafe which stocks all the basics. The location is perfect if you are visiting the Cotswolds as we are very central in the North Cotswolds area - 2 miles from Moreton-in-Marsh, 2 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold and approx 4 miles from Bourtom-on-the-Water. We are 15 miles from Cheltenham so convenient for Cheltenham Races. Longborough hosts the world famous LFO (Longborough Festival Opera). This is why we are happy to offer a minimum of 1 night stay, to accommodate those wishing to visit the opera.

    Dove Cottage’s front door opens into the living room. The open plan downstairs contains the following rooms: Living room: Full of character, this room contains exposed beams and a stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is a two seater sofa, two armchairs, and a Smart TV with a Blu-ray/DVD/CD player; Kitchen/dining room: Accessed directly from the living room, this well presented room contains a double electric oven, four ring ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, small freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is also a stylish glass dining table, which comfortably seats four. Stairs lead up from the living room to the small first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A lovely room with attractive rural views, which contains a double bed; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with handheld shower attachment, heated towel rail, wash basin and toilet. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom; A door on the first floor landing leads to a second, steep stairway to the second floor bedroom: Bedroom 2: A lovely eaves room, which can be set up as either two single beds or a king size bed. Directly outside the front of the cottage is a lovely, peaceful patio area, which contains a table, four chairs and a charcoal barbecue. There is also a small garden, together with a gravelled parking area, with space for one average sized car.
    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • La cabaña era ideal para nuestras vacaciones de fin de semana, encaramada en medio de los Cotswolds y rodeada de hermosos paisajes. Convenientemente, también hay un pub muy acogedor a poca distancia a pie. La casa era pintoresca por fuera y moderna, limpia y bien equipada por dentro.     Voted "England's Favourite Village" in 2004 by Country Life magazine, Kingham is a beautiful, unspoilt Cotswold village, with a large open green and some elegant stone and thatch cottages, mostly dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is situated in the Evenlode valley, a short drive from the well known Cotswold market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton. There has been a church on the site of St. Andrew's Church for at least 900 years, although the present building is a mixture of ages. The font is 13th century, the Perpendicular Gothic tower 15th century, the nave roof is dated 1774 and the rest of the church was remodelled in 1851-3. The church also has a fine old rectory, built in the 17th century. Kingham has two highly regarded pubs, a village shop and is just a mile away from Daylesford Organic, which is well known for its organic food, cookery school and spa.     Longborough is perfectly located and picturesque. Well located with wonderful footpaths and views, and an easy drive to local towns or further afield. Stratford upon Avon and Oxford under 45 minutes by car. The room is small but makes a great base for travellers, cyclists, walkers. Longborough boasts its own Opera House with a summer program as well as a lovely village shop and cafe, friendly local pub, village school and church. Stow, Bourton on the Water, and Campden within 15 minutes by car.
    Our guest room is a small and cosy private double with an ensuite shower room and your own entrance. Your room is on the ground floor with one step from a terrace and another between the bedroom and bathroom. You enter through a stable door which overlooks the garden. In your room you have tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk. Breakfast is served in our kitchen which adjoins your room. The guest room door opens onto a terrace with views of the garden where I grow cut flowers and veg. You are welcome to use the outside sitting area on our sunny terrace, when it's warm enough. The location is peaceful and green but we are in a large village with shop and pub, with picturesque Cotswold towns and villages only a short walk or drive away, and a wonderful selection of footpaths that lead from the village. The room is most suitable for single travellers or couples but we do have a fold up travel cot if you are travelling with a young child.
    We're in the heart of a thriving village community equipped with shop, pub, church and school. The friendly local pub the Coach and Horses a few hundred metres up the hill serves food every evening and those with a little more energy or a bicycle can reach the award wining Horse and Groom in Bourton on the Hill 3 miles away. Our local shop sells almost everything, with its own cafe serving breakfast, cakes and light lunches as well as lots of local produce for sale it's definitely worth a visit. National footpaths lead from the village one of which takes you nearest town Moreton in Marsh, a 45 minute walk or 4 minutes by car. Moreton in Marsh has regular train service to London and Oxford. The Cotswolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty known for its walking, beautiful Cotswold stone buildings and food and produce, with an abundance of wildlife at your doorstep. Local attractions include Batsford Arboretum, Falconry Centre, only 1 mile away, and the beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare's Birthplace and home to the Royal Shakespere Company which is our nearest large town about 20 minutes drive with regular bus service from Moreton in Marsh. The picturesque towns of Bourton on the Water, Stow on the wold, and Chipping Campden are within 15 minutes by car and have an occasional bus service from the village. In the village we also have the longborough opera house which is a short walk up the hill. The season runs from June-Aug check their web page for listings. For garden and history enthusiasts we have numerous National Trust properties close by including the famous Hidcote Gardens. To the south you can visit Cheltnham and Oxford both under an hour and an easy day trip from here.

    North House is a lovely terraced property set on a quiet road in the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. The front door opens directly into the open plan living space which is laid out as follows: Living/dining room: This dual aspect room is divided into two areas by the impressive staircase which descends from the first floor. The welcoming living room has a sofa, two leather armchairs, a wall-mounted Smart TV and an ornamental fireplace and the dining room on the other side of the floating staircase has an Oak effect dining table with seating for four and a second ornamental fireplace; Kitchen: The compact yet well-equipped kitchen overlooks the garden and contains an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a compact dishwasher, microwave, slow cooker, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The wooden staircase leads up from the main living area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: This lovely spacious room, with high ceiling and views of the lane below, has a double wrought iron bed, a pretty vanity table and a freestanding wardrobe; Bedroom 2: With a lovely feature Victorian fireplace and dual aspect views, this pretty room has two single beds, a vanity table and a built-in wardrobe; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with an overhead shower, toilet and wash basin. The patio looks out over the lawn, bordered by colourful flower beds and shrubs, and with the provision of the charcoal barbecue this is a wonderful setting for al fresco dining. There is off street parking for two cars on the gravel driveway at the front of the property.
    Bourton-on-the-Water is arguably one of the most popular villages of the Cotswolds, especially amongst overseas visitors. Having been nicknamed the "Venice of the Cotswolds", its scenery is the main draw for travellers. The River Windrush meanders through beautiful English countryside before passing over rapids next to the Old Mill and arriving at Bourton. The river is fed from many springs, with the source approximately ten miles from the village and, after flowing under the bridges of Bourton, it passes other villages before eventually joining the Thames. There are various attractions in the village, including the famous Birdland, which is home to a variety of birds from around the world. Here visitors can see parrots, pelicans, flamingos and penguins to name just a few, with experienced keepers feeding the birds and leading demonstrations. The Model Village is well worth a visit, as Bourton is the only village in the Cotswolds to have a one-ninth scale replica of itself. It is carefully maintained and has all of the characterful buildings including the Old Water Mill and the Old New Inn. Those lucky enough to witness snow in the winter months will notice photographers at the model village trying to get the perfect picture of the snowy scene. Another family favourite is the Dragonfly Maze. This yew maze leads visitors through the labyrinth, gathering clues in order to find the pavilion in the centre which enables them to unlock the final secret! The maze was constructed by Kit Williams, author of the golden hare treasure hunt book, "Masquerade". Food & Drink Bourton has a variety of places to eat and drink, including cafes, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, with a range of prices to suit all budgets. The list below is a small sample of the options available: The Chester House Hotel and The Croft Restaurant (www.chesterhousehotel.com): Breakfast, morning coffee, lunches and evening meals in a riverside restaurant. You can enjoy freshly prepared, local produce throughout the day and night, with seasonal specials added to the menu daily. Two off street parking spaces are available, with one space in an open garage attached to the property and a further allocated space on the driveway - the owners have access to the garage, where tools and gardening equipment for the property are stored.

    Chipping Campden is one of the main market towns in the North Cotswolds, built by medieval traders with wealth created from the wool trade. There are two comfortable sofas, and a Smart TV with integrated DVD player; Family bathroom: Located at the back of the cottage, with fabulous views over Blockley Valley, the refurbished bathroom has a roll top bath with an overhead rainfall shower, wash basin and a toilet. Stairs lead down directly from the living room to the lower ground floor rooms: Dining room: This delightful room has exposed wooden beams, a flag stone floor, large ornamental stone fireplace and another pretty window seat. The wooden dining table seats four people, and there is also a sideboard, a wine rack and a boot cupboard; Kitchen: This well-presented room has an electric oven with a four-ring gas hob, fridge, freezer, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and filter coffee machine.   • Este fue un lugar maravilloso para escapar por unos días. La vista era increíble, y fue genial poder caminar hasta la tienda local para satisfacer las necesidades de cocinar para mí mismo mientras viajaba sin un automóvil. Dependiendo del autobús se puso un poco complicado a veces, pero fue genial explorar el campo a pie. Cada camino era su propia aventura. La casa tenía todo lo que necesitaba y era bastante cómoda. Definitivamente me encantaría volver algún día si tuviera la oportunidad.

There is a double wooden sleigh bed, a chest of drawers and a hanging rail for storage, and a small TV with a DVD player (please note this TV is for watching DVDs only); Family bathroom: Contains a bath with an overhead shower, toilet and wash basin.
