Recomiendo encarecidamente alojarse aquí, no te decepcionará

Gracias Jacqui! Queremos volver ya :)

*NB Min of 4 guests in holidays pls use contact host* A quirky converted Baptist Chapel in the Brecon Beacons, 15mins from Crickhowell and Abergavenny with a secret story and lots of sleeping options. Warm in winter with thick stone walls that are calming and quiet. This is a simple place to detox from busy lives. Cosy nights in front of the wood burner with friends or family. A place to read, play the piano, listen to music, sing, cook or just do nothing. Cycling, walking, from the door.
Hugh’s Chapel comprises of two self-contained but adjoining spaces, suited to a romantic or special weekend for two or a get together with family and friends, up to a maximum of 8 persons. We just let to a single group and expand the space available depending on the group size. By default for bookings up to four persons you will be in the main chapel. If you are a bigger group then we will expand out into the Sunday School area through the pulpit door which is normally kept locked. If you are four and particularly want both parts we are happy to discuss and the best thing to do is contact us through contact host option. Unfortunately its difficult to cover this flexibility within airbnb pricing system at present. We try and make it affordable for small and large groups. Hughs Chapel is the main part with the main double bedroom with lots of sleeping possibilities for fold out beds in the main chapel. There are lots of little corners if you want some time to yourself or to read a book. Its great acoustically and listening to music is wonderful. But its the feeling of those thick, calming stone walls that is really special and the light that comes in through the windows at different times of the day. Its simply furnished but comfortable. From that point of view its easy to relax into the feel of the Chapel. The Chapel’s story is also something unique but you will have to find that out for yourself! Through the adjoining pulpit door are the Sunday School Rooms which houses a double Bedroom with arched window and nice views, family bathroom with bath and shower, back door, stairs leading to upstairs third bedroom / living room with foldout double sofa bed and is spacious. Off that space is a small fully functioning kitchen with great views of the black mountains. There is a set of french doors onto a deck area with views of the black mountains that leads onto a private garden with trampoline. This area gets a nice drop of sunshine from late morning until the sun sets.
Friendly and welcoming, quiet apart from lots of sheep on the hills and cows in local farmers field so sounds very rural. You will be warmly welcomed into the local pubs You can hear the streams in the background. Very old industrial archaeology tramways, railways, quarry working, iron works hidden in every corner. Hidden valleys, beech woods, small waterfalls, lots of birdlife, Owls at night, Cuckoos, woodpeckers, peregrines. Despite this very good links to Abergavenny 15mins by car and only 25mins by bike downhill ! So good base to go and explore the rest of the National Park or further a field Cardiff, Gower Peninsula, Forest of Dean, Wye Valley.
  • Absolutamente increible.

  • Absolutamente precioso hallazgo, recomiendo encarecidamente alojarse aquí.

A private ground floor apartment set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. A perfect country escape to recharge those batteries. The property looks directly onto the sugar loaf mountain from the sitting room window. The property enjoys its own private landscaped garden. Ideally situated for access to a number of popular mountain bikes routes. The property also enjoys door step access to numerous scenic walks for both the seasoned walkers or those who enjoy more gentle strolls in the countryside.
The space has an open plan, kitchen, sitting room and dining room. It is heated by a electric fuelled wood burner effect fire and central hearing making it a cosy, comfortable and romantic place to enjoy rural wales. It has a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. From the back door you can walk out onto a patio and large landscaped private garden so you can sit and enjoy the beauty of your idyllic surroundings and in the evening listen out for the song of the nightingale or the hoot of the owl. There is one pub which serves food and real ales in a 20 minute walking distance. There is also another pub the Dragon's head in Llangenny which is only a five minute drive away which we often frequent - a warm welcome is always guaranteed. The space is nestled in the mountains so is very rural although you can pick up mobile phone signal and 4G and it is easily accessible by car. There is also free WIFI. There are loads of walks right from the front door so you can park up for the stay and take in the surroundings leaving you refreshed to return home. There is another apartment above the property but the two spaces are entirely separate. If you would like to come friends, if available, you can rent both properties which would then accommodate 4 people in total.
We hope that you will love the peace and tranquillity that the countryside offers, except when we are herding the sheep! ;)

The Studio was newly let in late 2017 with fresh decoration, kitchen, fixtures, fittings and carpets. The mezzanine bedroom has a comfortable King sized bed.
Full gas boiler central heating/ hot water and highly insulated walls and loft make The Studio a really cosy retreat. Return from a day in the Brecon Beacons to a well equipped interior which includes: Smart LED TV with Freeview, YouTube etc/ Unlimited Fast Fibre broadband/ WiFi / DVD Player/ DAB Radio with Bluetooth speaker facility/ 4G Mobile Signal. Books, games, magazines, DVD box sets and movies provided. New for 2019 is a G00GLE Home Mini to answer questions about the locality. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster.

A contemporary & pretty cottage down a quiet lane in the centre of Crickhowell, so ideal for being able to just walk out in the evenings for a meal. Crickhowell has become 'festival city' now holding the Walking Festival in February, Green Man Festival in August & Literary Festival in October. Nearby there is also the Hay Festival in May/June, Brecon Jazz Festival in August & every September brings the famous Abergavenny Food Festival. In July you can visit, The Royal Welsh Show at Builth Wells.
Caboodles Cottage is perfectly position right in the centre of the beautiful town of Crickhowell. Our cottage is just a minutes walk away from the award winning high street, recently voted the best high street in all of the U.K. We now have a free car parking space which is only a minute walk away from the cottage, in the small car park by the hairdressers at the top of our lane. All shops, pubs & restaurants are independently owed by local people giving you an amazing experience. Stunning walks are available from the front door, due to Crickhowell being within the Brecon Beacons National Park & situated in the Black Mountains.
Crickhowell is a small and well-preserved Georgian town on the A40 in the Usk Valley. The remains of a 13th century castle still stand in the town whilst the Iron Age hillfort of Crug Hywel, better known as Table Mountain, looks down upon the town from the flanks of Pen Cerrig-calch to the north. The Beacons Way which passes through the town will take you steeply up there though more leisurely walks are available beside the River Usk or along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal in nearby Llangattock. You will find that Crickhowell Walking Festival has become very well-established in recent years. You might also want to catch the town’s Dragon Festival.

Set within the Brecon Beacons National Park, our place is perfect for walking, cycling and visiting the nearby Bleaenavon World Heritage sites including Big Pit, Blaenavon Ironworks and the Pontypool & Blaenavon Heritage Railway. The charming market town of Abergavenny is only 6 miles away and well worth a visit.
One bedroom with double bed and clothes rail. Shared use of bathroom, dining room and kitchen. The main benefit of staying with us is our location. Set in the Brecon Beacons, in the village of Llanelly Hill, it is a perfect place for those who want to discover the unique beauty of the area, as well as those interested in industrial history and archaeology.
We feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. The area has loads of walks and trails and plenty of cycle tracks. We are about 3 miles from the World Heritage site of Blaenavon, a must see for anyone interested in industrial history. Although we no longer have a village shop, there are plenty of shops in Brynmawr, just a couple of miles away. There is a village pub - The Jolly Collier - just 500 metres away. It serves food but only on a Wednesday, Thursday (Tapas night) Friday & Saturday - 6-9 and on Saturday and Sunday lunch 12 - 2.30. It is a lovely friendly place and the food is excellent. Would advise to make a reservation as it is only a small place and gets booked very quickly. I am happy to book for anyone who would like to eat there. The Racehorse Inn is relatively close, and although it can be done on foot, the hill up to it is very steep. They are open every night from 6.30 for meals and serve Sunday lunch 12-3. Again I can make bookings on guests behalf. The Bridgend Inn, in the nearby town of Brynmawr, is another good place to eat. Regular Menu served Monday-Saturday 12 -9pm. Sunday lunch 12 - 4. Happy to book on guests behalf

Peaceful, tranquil and beautiful is the only way to describe our home.

We have made this place snug and comfy with high thread count linen sheets, comfy beds, thick fluffy towels and carefully chosen furniture and art. The views are spectacular and the walking and biking great. It is an eco barn, off the grid and powered by a wind turbine, solar panels and a back-up generator. Water is from a nearby spring (it tastes delicious).
The barn has direct access to the mountain behind so hiking and mountain biking is fantastic! Downstairs is all open plan, with a wood fired stove, kitchen, dining table and comfy sofas. The shower and WC are downstairs and there is an additional sink upstairs. Access to the bedrooms is up a stone staircase in the fresh air. We enjoy seeing the stars on our way to bed, but this might not suit everybody!
This barn is up a remote lane and steep drive. The view are spectacular up and down the valley and across to Table Mountain and Sugarloaf.

A private second floor apartment set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. A perfect country escape to recharge those batteries. The property looks onto the sugar loaf mountain. From the bedroom skylight you can look directly up at the stars within a dark sky reserve. The property has an outside seating area and is ideally situated for access to popular mountain bikes routes. It has door step access to numerous scenic walks for both the seasoned walkers or those who enjoy more gentle strolls.
The space has an open plan, kitchen, sitting room and dining room. It is heated by central hearing making it a cosy, comfortable and romantic place to enjoy rural wales. It has a double bed and a bathroom with a walk in shower. The bedroom is cosy and (as can been seen by the photo) is accessed via one side. From the door you can walk out onto a patio and sit and enjoy the beauty of your idyllic surroundings and in the evening listen out for the song of the nightingale or the hoot of the owl. There is a pub which serves food and real ales is a 20 minute walk . There is also another pub a 5 minute drive away called the Dragon's Head in Llangenny which we often frequent - a great welcome guaranteed. The space is nestled in the mountains so is very rural although you can pick up mobile phone signal and 4G and it is easily accessible by car. There is also free WIFI. There are loads of walks right from the front door so you can park up for the stay and take in the surroundings leaving you refreshed to return home. The local town of Crickhowell is only a 10 minute drive away. There is another apartment below the property but the two spaces are entirely separate. If you would like to come friends, if available, you can rent both properties which would then accommodate 4 people in total.
We hope that you will love the peace and tranquillity that the countryside offers, except when we are herding the sheep! ;)
