Lugares para hospedarse en Criccieth
This recently renovated Welsh cottage with original features, modern appliances and cosy woodburner is situated above the village of Garndolbenmaen, near Porthmadog. This is a perfect, romantic retreat for two situated along a quiet lane with stunning panoramic westerly views over Cardigan Bay and the Llyn peninsula. The cottage is well-placed to explore Snowdon (30 minutes away), the Llyn peninsula (right in front of you) and the quiet coves and beaches of Anglesey (30 minutes away).
Characterful 200 year old Welsh stone cottage, lovingly renovated to a high standard. Situated along a quiet track with plenty of off-road parking and secure bike storage. There are lots of great places to eat nearby: The Goat Inn is 1.5 miles away, The Golden Fleece Inn and The Square Restaurant are 5 miles away, to name a few. Check out the Guidebook for more information. Please note that our local pub in the village has now closed.
The property is 600ft above sea level in a quiet, rural location with farms and buildings scattered across the hillside. Sheep and cattle graze in fields around the cottage and dog-walkers and horse riders use the track in front of the property. There are many tracks and paths in the immediate neighbourhood, each with a fabulous view over the Llyn peninsula and the Welsh coastline as far as mid Wales. The Royal Town and World Heritage Site of Caernarfon is 15 miles north and the famous gardens at Portmeirion (and annual Festival in September) are 10 miles away in the other direction. For empty beaches and stunning scenery, head west into the Llyn peninsula and lose yourselves in the ancient landscape and mysterious atmosphere of this unspoilt and rugged part of the British Isles. Ask about local pubs and restaurants or see the information in the Guidebook for latest recommendations!

5 estrellas.

This delightful little house overlooks the village green in Criccieth. Casula is small yet perfectly formed, having undergone a complete and sympathetic refurbishment by the owners. The property has a calming vibe and a luxurious feel throughout. Large, comfy sofas and neutral wall colours set the tone for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The large garden at the rear is a lovely place to wile away the hours. From the front you enjoy views of the sea and Criccieth Castle perched on a rocky headland above the village’s sand-and-shingle beach. Criccieth is a pretty little place clustered around the bay, with the oldest part found huddled on the outcrop of rock near the castle. You’ll discover shops and antique stores here, as well as plenty of places to eat. Make sure you check out Dylan’s, one of two in North West Wales (the other in Menai Bridge) that have been winning many fans. For a little more shopping, pop to nearby Porthmadog. Hen Gegin is a recently renovated 18th century “out kitchen” to our main farmhouse. The cottage is ideal for a couple and is separate from our house and completely self contained with a space for parking right outside. The area is quiet and very beautiful with only a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Borth-y-Gest and Morfa Bychan. Situated between Snowdonia and the Llyn peninsula there is so much to explore in the area.
There is a private seating area with table and chairs for you to relax in. We don’t provide a barbecue but if you wish to bring a disposable one you’re welcome to use it. If you have bikes you can lock them to our covered outside log store
The area is quiet and very beautiful. Although on the edge of a caravan site, the caravans are privately owned and it is rarely busy. A few minutes walk from the cottage is the Wales coastal path which leads down to the beautiful coves of Borth-y-Gest and the mile long sandy beach, Black Rock in Morfa Bychan. The pretty village of Borth y Gest is 10-15 minutes walk away and has a nice cafe and bistro. The harbour town of Porthmadog (5minutes drive) is a must for narrow gauge railway enthusiasts with the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog railways. The town has many individual shops as well as large supermarkets. The Italianate village of Portmeirion is a 15 minute drive away and the towns of Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech well worth a visit with their historic castles. Walkers and mountain climbers will appreciate the mountains of Snowdonia, although the Snowdon mountain railway is for those who would like an easier way up Wales’ highest mountain! Wales is an ancient land of myths and legends and this area is one of the Welsh language’s heartlands so you will hear Welsh being spoken in the shops and pubs.

Attached to our family home in a quiet village just a mile from the beautiful town of Criccieth. Enjoying far reaching views across Tremadog bay to Harlech, Barmouth and the Rhinogydd mountain range. The holiday towns of Pwllheli and Porthmadog are each only 7 miles away and we are under a mile from the coastal path. The accommodation has limited mobile phone reception but does now have WiFi.
Our accommodation is both snug and spacious with open plan living space and crog loft sleeping area. Equipped with a small TV with DVD player and free view and a CD player / digital radio, there are also old school board games for those wishing to get away from it all. The kitchen and shower room are equipped with all we think you will need and anything else we should be able to find for you.
Llanystumdwy village is home to the Lloyd George museum and grave, it also has one of the most beautiful river walks of the area along Afon Dwyfor. There is a village pub at the bottom of the hill which at present opens Thursday to Sunday only however Criccieth offers a variety of pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes, special mention to the numerous tea shops and outstanding local bakery. Porthmadog is home to the famous Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways and the Italianate village of Portmeirion, home to Festival Number 6, is just 9 miles away. We are ideally situated for days out to Anglesey, the Llyn Peninsula and obviously the magical mountains of Snowdonia. Popular local activities include Zip World (adventures underground, through the trees or hurtling through the air), Surf Snowdonia, Stand Up Paddle-boarding, as well as a variety of golf courses to suit all standards.

Gracias.
