Our stay at Moments on the Maury was fantastic. The house was pristine and so cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped and there were plenty of towels and bed linens. Even during a cold November weekend, we couldn't resist spending some time on the deck to admire the view of the river - so beautiful and peaceful. Katie was great with communication - she proactively sent all of the info we needed before our stay and responded quickly to messages. We will definitely stay again when in the area - highly recommend!

Definitely a wonderful location, quiet and peaceful, with so much character and history. Not for everyone with the long driveway- but for our family it was perfect. Sitting by the river is wonderful- saw deer and eagles and osprey. Great hosts.

We have been staying at the Parsonage now for 5 years and it became our favorite place when we visit VA. Anne is a very generous hostess and she continues to upgrade the house and make it even more comfortable! The mountain views are gorgeous anytime of the year! We love her place, the details, the books, the artwork and the view! We hope to be back soon!

This place was clean and easy to park right in front. It was just what we needed during our visit with our college son.

We had a great stay! The hosts were very kind, friendly and responsive. The house was clean, inviting, and as pictured. We appreciated the family friendly accommodations, including colorful plastic children’s dishes (the children were excited to pick their favorite colors), highchair, doorway gate and bunk bed. Labeled cabinets and drawers were helpful to quickly find kitchen items and to put them away in the right place. We all enjoyed the unique dining room table! Very nice and enjoyable place to stay.

Nice views, peaceful setting. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Chessie Trail was great for running in the mornings, just a 1/2 mile from the house. We were there for a horse show and did not get to explore the area too much, but certainly seemed like there was plenty of hiking opportunities if we had more time.

Stayed in The Hay Loft with my husband and 3 small children (4,3&1) for 3 weeks while relocating to the area from Texas. We felt right at home and had everything we needed to live a mostly normal life during transition! The home and property are well thought out & are equipped with anything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dishes, plenteous toiletries in the bathroom, towels aplenty, and laundry essentials at your disposal. The host is very responsive, friendly, and helpful when anything out of the ordinary does come up. There can be some road noise at all hours, but it didn’t disrupt any of us ever. Perhaps if you’re a very light sleeper, it might. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, homey stay in the Lexington area. Takes 5-15 minutes max to drive anywhere in town. And lastly, the sunsets really are beautiful with the hills and mountains on the horizon. Just splendid.

Such a beautiful and comfortable home away from home! We loved the convenience to Downtown Lexington, and the home could not have been more perfect! Comfortable, beautifully decorated, and all the extras made it so wonderful. We loved the screened in porch, fire pit, and the views across the street. The host is very responsive and friendly! Highly recommend!!

Very nice house has everything you need, kids loved the play room. Family room is abit small for 10 people to hang out together but we made it work.

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

Visiting from Virginia Beach with our daughters, one at JMU and one at Virginia Tech, and with family from PA.  The fall color was gorgeous!  Enjoyed the lantern ghost tour and October illumination of the Natural Bridge. We had lunch at Natty B's Cafe and visited Cave Mountain Lake where we saw lot's of wildlife.  We loved the fire pit and everything about this cabin.  You have done an amazing job creating the perfect weekend get away spot.  Thank you!

The location was convenient, and the host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We cannot say enough great things about the owners and this beautiful cabin!! If you are thinking about booking, think no more and do it! Not only was it absolutely beautiful on the inside but the area outside of the cabin made us feel like we were in our own sweet world. We saw deer, squirrels, so many birds, it was on the river and it was dreamy. The cabin itself was so fun! To stay in a real log cabin was a bucket list item and it was very pristine. There were wonderfully helpful notes all around to help us out and did I mention it was beautiful?!???

Melody’s Little Cabin in the Woods was exactly what my wife and I were looking for to disconnect from technology(although fast wifi was available) and reconnect with each other, and nature. We chose Melody’s accommodations because of its proximity to Big Spring Farm, and the seclusiveness of the property itself. My wife and I love the outdoors and hiking, so having some great walkable paths right outside the cabin, made for great peaceful mornings. The cabin itself was exactly as you’d expect an 1800’s cabin to feel, with the addition of the basic modern luxuries most would hope to have on a vacation. We will definitely be booking again in the future! Thank you!
