Motherby House is an 18th century grade II traditional farmhouse, the house has lost none of its original charm. Hooks embedded in oak beams show where bacon was once cured and log fires add to the warm homely atmosphere. Families are always welcome. The hamlet of Motherby, is positioned between Penrith and Keswick.

You will be staying on the edge of the village with views of fields, woods and hills. Only a few minutes riverside walk to village centre where there is a variety of places to eat , shops, pubs, Brewery! homemade Gelato! Your room is a comfortable double ensuite room with its own access . There is tea and coffee making facilities in the room, access to a utility room with sink, toaster, fridge , toilet and washing machine. There is outdoor seating, private parking and room for bicycles.

Pen-y-Ghent Micro Lodge

Beautiful barn conversion which is ideally situated for walkers and 3 Peaks Challenge adventurers! It offers 3 bedrooms in the main house and is within walking distance of the local pubs, café and train station and has its own private car park for guests. From April 2019 2 (dog friendly) micro lodges/pods will be added and are located in the walled garden area next to the main house, both with private terrace and bbq. Pods are en-suite and equipped with TV, fridge, microwave and sofa.
