This beautiful and unique home is surrounded by natural beauty and equipped with everything you need to relax and unwind. The house feels lived-in and is thoughtfully furnished. Especially unusual, the cedar soaking tub is the most natural feeling hot soak outside of a natural hot springs. The kitchen is a true dream for a cook practically begging you to pick up farmer’s makers ingredients in nearby Cold Springs or Beacon and whip up something delicious. The two bathrooms are luxuriously designed with top shelf shower and tub and are spotless. The bedrooms are spacious and light-filled, especially the master with incredible forest views of the backyard. We would happily return or recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

The most perfect stay! The hosts were both extremely kind & communicative. This cute cottage-feel home has EVERYTHING you need for a perfect time. Not only is the place super cute, but it’s stocked up with all of the essentials and more. I could not recommend this place enough!

My parents and I really enjoyed our stay at Mark’s. His house was beautifully situated right on Lake Mahopac with plenty to do in town and in the surrounding area. Everything was as described and met all of our needs. Mark was extremely accommodating with our length of stay (~ 6 weeks) and allowing us to bring our animals (2 dachshunds, 1 cat). Check-in was easy and upon arrival we were greeted with a gift basket and a binder with all sorts of info (emergency, food, fun activities). The backyard was beautiful, completely fenced in, and super convenient for the pups. When we had questions, all we had to do was send off a quick text and Mark responded in a timely manner. I can’t recommend Mark’s place enough!

We had a fabulous long week end at Rachel s home. It was simply perfect ! The location is amazing with private access to the lake and a lot of privacy and very calm surrounding. The house is really well equipped while not being cluttered. Everything is well organized. Very responsive host and seamless check in !

The Art Grove was the perfect place for me and my parents to stay! It has all the amenities you need during a stay including a grill outside for cooking and a fully stocked kitchen. Russell and his wife, Janet were incredibly friendly and helpful. The artwork around the house was an added bonus to enjoy during the stay! I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a beautiful home to stay in while visiting the area. It’s also perfect for those who love to go hiking, as there are plenty of trails nearby!

We booked for my sister’s bachelorette weekend and it was absolutely perfect. First, the view is AMAZING and the home was stunning (the pictures are great and don’t even compare to the real experience). David and Bryonna were also amazing. They were flexible with our check in and check out time and super responsive whenever we reached out. There are a few really yummy restaurants about 10 minutes away, and some bigger attractions within a 30-45 minute drive, but honestly, everything you need to have a great time is right there on the property. I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be revisiting ASAP!

The house exceeded expectations! It was spacious and beautiful. Very well suited for a large group. The kitchen was well equipped and very large. While a drive away from town activities, the yard and pond were picturesque and peaceful. We got very lucky with a snowy weekend, and decided not even to leave the house except to play football in the yard. We cooked, played games, watched the White Lotus premiere, and enjoyed the big windows. Unfortunately, the hot tub didn't get warm enough to use in the cold weather - check to make sure it's working before your stay.

nice size place for a person or couple. Location easy to get around to other places. Host nice likes to check in. the only challenge for high cosmetic/make up users tiny bathroom sink makes balancing bottles etc a little challenging. Big TVs in bedroom and living room. lots of parking space feet from private entrance very private quiet never heard hosts son

Ted's place is really good and clean! My friend and I were able to relax and unwind, getting a much-needed break from the city. The kitchen is also well-equipped, making it easy to cook and feel at home. Plus, the locals are super friendly and helpful, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend!

Great communication. Great space. very beautiful home and outdoors. perfect if you have kids. We used the playground and grill. Very flexible, easy to reach and very friendly.

This was just what I needed for my first trip to Mohegan Lake! Quiet neighborhood. Cozy bed. Great water pressure. I’ll definitely be booking again if I come back to this cute little town.

My husband and I stayed at the Waterview over Valentine's wknd. Instructions were precise, everything looked like the pics, and even better. Unit was simply but beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and comfortable with stunning views of Lake Zoar. We had a small issue upon arrival but Kristi was super prompt with a resolve and was kind and professional. A Winter storm was in effect and she was flexible with our arrival time and exit for our safety, which meant alot. We slept like babies to the sounds of owls hoo'ing and icy rain hitting the snow covered lake, which even at night was just stunning. I woke up early to watch the snow and ice melt from the lake...it really was a magical thing to behold. I saw deer tracks and was sorry I missed them. Saw mallards and several GORGEOUS hooded merganser, as well as several different species of birds flying over. If you love nature and gorgeous spaces that feel like home, book the Waterview. We hope to revisit in warmer months. Thank u Kristi

Went to locate a go to place for me to reset from life’s nonsense and this was the most healing environment in a peaceful cozy house.

Fantastic experience! Kelly was very clear with instructions, check-in was an absolute breeze. Upon arrival we found the space exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything you could ever wish for. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views along the river did not disappoint. Also loved being able to have a campfire after a long day of hiking. Great place :)

Christienne was very responsive and helpful, the house was just as described and the location was so peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately I had to shorten my stay but I would absolutely be back if the opportunity presents itself.

What a wonderful place to rest, relax, and maybe get a little bit of work done too. Home was perfect for the whole work from home situation with a extra monitor and everything. Also had a fully enclosed yard for the dogs. We spent the week up in Connecticut, in this wonderful home, that felt perfectly in between a hotel, and simply staying at a friend‘s house who was extremely clean, conscientious, and out of town. Would recommend to other others and will try to stay again.

We loved the view out to the lake, which was different every day and throughout the day. The open layout of the house is great to enjoy the views, and if the weather is nice, there are great sitting areas outside as well. The house is well-stocked and cozy. The hosts are friendly and always responsive. There are also great parks to visit nearby. We had a great winter weekend and would love to stay again.

Such a cozy space!!! My small family really did enjoy our peaceful stay. I would definitely book again when in the area. I felt such peace and serenity sitting under the stars, in front of the crackling campfire. It was me and the hubby with 2 of our girls ages 10 and 16. They loved the hot tub and s’mores:). Our stay at the Lake House Cabin was nothing short of magical! This charming 1940s cabin offered the perfect backdrop for celebrating my wife's birthday with our adult children. The stunning views of the lake were a highlight, providing a serene and picturesque setting that made our family gatherings truly special. We loved the easy access to kayaks and a canoe, which allowed us to explore the water and create lasting memories together. The cabin itself was cozy and well-appointed, making us feel right at home. We appreciated the blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to reconnect with family and enjoy nature, I can't recommend this lake house highly enough. We left with full hearts and plans to return!

Great place for our family to stay during the Thanksgiving holiday. Peaceful and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! Bathroom was spa-like, beds were comfortable and warm. Big TV and comfy couch was great for a family movie night. Kitchen was very well equipped. Will definitely come again!
