We walked in and the Christmas tree lights were on and Christmas music was playing. It was lovely. It's a beautiful home and very cozy. Having a bedroom and full bath downstairs makes a difference for many of us (young and older) who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the second floor. This location is nice and quiet yet close to all the essentials. I spoke with Dottie before our stay and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. Thank you again Dottie! I love coming to Maine, and this was my first time staying at Rob's place—it was beautiful! Rob was more than accommodating and incredibly hospitable. The home is gorgeous, super clean, cozy, and very private. The game room was such a fun bonus! It was the perfect little getaway. Thank you so much, Rob, for everything! I will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future visits!

LOVED Tj's place! Wish I were staying there for vacation purposes, instead it was just while I was moving and movers had already taken all my furniture. But, right when you walk in, there's the water... The interior felt like home. Was able to walk down to a restaurant and there's a park across the street and a smaller one right next to the house. Didn't get to use the kayak since it was snowing... :-) Highly recommend Tj's home for whatever purpose. I will definitely try to get this home when I make it back up there!

We had an amazing time over valentines day weekend. There was a snow storm and Kent snow blowed around our vehicle to make sure we could get out. The house is very comfortable and peaceful, amazing view of the river and just off the road enough to not be bothered by passing traffic. Definitely recommend!!!!

Beautiful location, accommodating host and very responsive and flexible. The place is a hidden gem right next to the lake. It is in a very secluded setting, definitely worth it.

We had a wonderful time in Dedham and the Narrows Lake House was a great home base. The lake is absolutely beautiful, and the house is relatively close to Ellsworth and Bangor, as well as Acadia. Really nice place to wake up every morning (with the added plus of a very friendly dog named Miss Aspen who will definitely say hi!). The house is pretty far back on a long and narrow gravel road, so it's not particularly walkable and you'll want to have a car that's at least a little bit suited for it. Our rented minivan was just fine but an older vehicle or one with dim headlights might make it a little tricky. The floors are also quite thin and sound travels downward, so if you have kids or louder members of your group, you'll want to have them stay in the basement if possible. Finally, Colleen was a kind and attentive host! She reached out before the stay, which was very appreciated, and is delightful to talk to. You'll be very well taken care of if anything does happen.

This was our second stay with Devon and as usual it did not disappoint! It is exactly what we needed for a quiet getaway. It is very serene with sounds of the Loons echoing across the lake. Did not see a car or person in 4 days which was great. Devon was always in touch if needed and accommodating. Great kitchen with everything needed for a snack or a full meal. A very relaxing stay!

This property was awesome we were all very happy with the location, amenities, price and host. Hillary was polite and very helpful. This trip almost didn’t happen as our previous reservation was canceled 12 hours before check in from a different host. Luckily Hillary saved the week with her quick response time and answering questions about sleeping situations etc. would stay here again in a heart beat highly recommend!

I could not overstate the beauty and peacefulness of this location. Good proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia but private with stunning views. The description and photos are accurate, we found the host responsive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

This place was amazing!!! The sunrise and sunset were breathtaking. The house was just perfect we had everything we needed and more. The beds were so comfortable my husband said he had no more back pain. Everything was easy to get to. To finish the lake was just so beautiful I am looking forward to stay again sometime. 10/10 best Airbnb stay every.

This was our second stay at Brian's place, and it was just as beautiful and peaceful as we remembered. The serene atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect getaway. Brian was a fantastic host, and we truly felt at home. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the lake house for a month and had an absolutely wonderful time! The host was very friendly and helpful. We especially loved the log furniture—it added such a cozy touch. The house was well-stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Truly a home away from home. Thank you!

I loved this place! Enjoying coffee and meals outside on the deck overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings of nature. I felt safe there and was a charming neighborhood. I loved that there were boats to use and a dock to watch sunset an autumn harvest moon over lake! Jess was the perfect host and made sure everything was great when I arrived. She was very helpful when I had any questions and I am looking so forward to going back there again! Thank you Jess for sharing this wonderful place!!!

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! Charming little cottage on the lake! Had a lot of fun, easy to get to town and the lake was serene and peaceful. Great place to stay!

A great private place to stay when visiting Acadia! Only about 40 minutes away from Bar Harbor.

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

We felt very at home. The place is even better than the pictures. Nice walking trails near house. The walk to the dock is a little steep, so walk carefully, especially at night. We are already looking forward to staying with Christopher next year!

Lovely location, and cozy little cabin, close to Damariscotta. My boyfriend and I took a weekend away and I told him I just wanted to be in the middle of the woods for a night. Enjoyed the hammock chairs and home cooked breakfast on the porch, despite the rain. Only regret was not meeting Sherri and/or Joel since I opted for self-check-in. Hope to return!

Comfy little cabin in the woods! We enjoyed having a fire in the fire place as it got pretty chilly at night. Relaxed in the screen room and played games one afternoon. The bed was comfortable and the view waking up in the morning was wonderful! Loved the LED mirror! Close to Belfast…we went to the indoor farmers market there on Saturday. Lots of goodies, and a nice view of the bay. We parked down at the mill one day and visited The Lost Kitchen venue. Then walked down to the Hills to Sea trail entrance and enjoyed a lovely walk thru the woods. Never did get to use the kayaks. The walk up and back to the lake might be a bit steep for some so just a heads up on that. Dan and Julia were very communicative and they provided binders with lots of local information. Nice and peaceful escape! Thanks so much!
