We LOVED our stay here! The home is fabulous, so many spacious rooms to explore, each one decorated in a great way. The outdoor space is amazing, and was such a highlight of our stay, from the stunning countryside views, the lush pool, the immaculate sauna out building (a hot tub on the balcony or outside would be a cherry on top of a delicious cake). We also loved that the house was so well stocked in the kitchen and cupboards throughout the house, which made it easier and more enjoyable to just chill at the house. Everyone said that they're beds were super comfy too. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful too, it was a lovely start to our stay meeting Les! It was easy to communicate with the host, and they messaged us 24 hours before check out to let us know we could check out later which was fab. Would definitely recommend staying here with a big group, plenty of space for everyone with a fab social dining table. Diolch yn fawr

This was the second time I’ve stayed in one of Peter and Doreen’s properties. They are always such wonderful hosts and are very accommodating. We visited Pentrenant Hall as a group of 19; 5 families with children ranging from 2 years old to 5 years old. The venue was perfect for us; the kids loved the bunk rooms and the huge dining room. The grounds are well cared for and provided an exciting and safe place for our children to explore. They particularly enjoyed toasting marshmallows by the fire pit outside! The adults managed to take advantage of the hot tub a couple of times too which was a lovely treat! And a few competitive games of table football in the games room. Overall a fantastic stay - we are already making plans to return next year!

Spacious and comfortable house for our family of 6 during a rainy February half term. The main reason to rent this place was the pool and sauna which didn’t disappoint and was great for our kids. There is a builder’s merchant right next door to the house which isn’t obvious from the photos but was not a particular problem with respect to noise etc. Lots of great walks nearby - which we will have to rediscover in the future in better weather! Thanks to Phoebe and the owners for making us feel welcome and for being available and responsive to our questions.

Picked the Lodge for a Bank Holiday break with friends and it didn’t disappoint. We were warmly welcomed by Mel who gave us some great local recommendations. House was clean and had all the required amenities. Having the pool for the morning was great fun. Would recommend Small breeds centre if you have young children and Hay on Wye for a wander round

Lovely fresh and well furnished lodge. Lovely bed linen and well equipped with kitchen wear/ appliances. Quiet location with great facilities such as the pool/ games room. Lovely walk around the site and fishing pond. We will definitely return.

Lovely hidden family staycation! Lovely location with loads of parking Easy check-in 13 mins drive to Breacon! Brilliant hot tub with amazing views (Only comment would be Chlorine content was a tad high for anyone with sensitive skin) Kitchen and bathroom were clean and cosy! Kitchen is fully equipped with amenities (Sauce pots and trays were available but no frying pans which is no big deal) Lovely welsh biscuits on arrival! Definitely recommend for a lovely retreat!

I stayed here with 7 others for a chilled, relaxed night away from home and that’s what it proved to be! The heated pool was well used and an awesome feature in the cosy extension. Plenty of space to sleep everyone and had everything you needed. I stayed here with friends but I feel like it would also be perfect for a get away with the kids too. One thing that wasn’t advertised greatly was the view you get to experience in the morning, it’s stunning. Thanks for having us and helping us out with some fresh sausages and bacon in the morning!

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome—so friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our visit. The cottage itself was absolutely stunning—spotlessly clean, spacious, and full of charm. Everything was exactly as described, if not better, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into maintaining both the home and the surrounding area. The grounds were just as impressive, with peaceful walks up quiet country lanes right on the doorstep. It was the perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside escape with a wonderful host!

What an amazing time we had at Chapel Cottage. The directions and instructions provided by Katrina brought us right to the location and it didn't disappoint. The cottage was pristine with clean towels provided. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cutlery and utensils you could need. We loved it as soon as we walked in as we loved the charm and the rustic nature of how its been restored. The closest town Llanfyllin has a Spar but also a lovely Fish and Chip shop and Chinese which we used on our stay which we recommend also. After a long day hiking the Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall it was amazing to relax in the hot tub with a few glasses of wine. The sky was clear and with it being a dark sky area, the amount of stars we could see was unbelievable. The beds are also the comfiest weve ever slept on so each night we were so rested. We are already planning a visit for next year. Thank you.

We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful barn conversion. Everything was high spec and it was a cosy yet spacious living space. Lovely kitchen and we were able to cook all our meals. Log burner was gorgeous as were the comfy sofas and chairs (my 8 year old son said the arm chairs were the most comfortable he had ever sat in!). My mother in law loved the high quality pillows and I was really pleased about the lovely hand wash and shower gel. Luxury touches! The surrounding countryside is breathtaking. We walked to the top of the hill opposite for panoramic mountain views. Had lovely afternoons out in Brecon and Hay on Wye. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday or a base to explore then Owl barn is perfect 😊 stunning accommodation with everything you could ask for and more. Jon was the perfect host and we couldn’t have asked for more. He provided us with recommendations and places to visit. The accommodation is just as it looks in the pictures. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the area is absolutely stunning. We would most definitely return in the future 😊

Great hosts and lovely place to stay to explore the local area. Parking is a challenge on (what feels like) a 45 degree slope! But otherwise a great central location and quiet at night even facing onto the street. The hosts have 2 other properties in the area that look as equally clean and well presented, so worth getting in touch with them.

A great place for an outdoor family holiday. We loved exploring the beautiful waterfalls and even went for a very cold swim in the river! Would recommend the white horse for food and a great friendly atmosphere, great if you’ve got a dog with you. The caves at abercraf also well worth a visit. Lovely cottage run by lovely people. Love staying here. It’s a beautiful location with lovely grounds. Some great improvements have been made since our last stay also, the photos don’t do it justice. We will definitely be back

We needed somewhere warm, cosy and easy to get to for a catch-up of old friends, and Angie’s place was ideal. Parking was easy, the walk into Hay is as described and, importantly in an April where the weather had turned wet and cold, the central heating was responsive. There was milk in the fridge and snacks waiting too. The little things that make a difference had all been thought through - unlike some places, the towels were thick and not skimped on, there were lots of toiletries, and the kitchen is well-stocked. We would definitely go back again.

Good size place, well equipped kitchen, clean and tidy on arrival. Driving distance to lots of walks in Brecon Beacons.

Great base location right at the heart of the Brecons. While no on site parking, the main village car park is a short walk away. Cottage is very cosy and suits all seasons. Beautifully presented with lots of great touches and very pet friendly. Lovely welcome gifts as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house! The home itself was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The surrounding grounds were absolutely stunning—peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing or taking a morning stroll. Communication with the hosts was excellent from start to finish; they were friendly, responsive, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Great place, very clean and well stocked. Victoria was a fabulous host and was always on hand to answer any questions and offer local advice. Great location in town, close to local amenities and walks. The outdoor areas and garden are lovely too. Highly recommend this house.

Had a lovely stay in this 3 bed house. There were clear instruction on how to enter the property and the house was pristine inside. Had a great time exploring the Brecon Beacons with some friends over the Easter bank holiday weekend. Would recommend for families or groups of friends wanting to do the same!
