Great place. bigger than expected but not as close to downtown as we hoped. not a deal breaker but neighborhood was a little run down. Looks like it's coming back though! We had a really good time and we're able to enjoy the wonderful little town of Valpo and see our daughter's last home basketball game! Would recommend this place and will stay again!

Grandad and small kids loved it. Great place to visit dunes. Wife is more of a Marriott person and it is not that type of place. Host was super responsive and friendly. Close to everything. The only small negatives was that we are not used to the sulfur smelling water and a little musty smelling (opening a window fixed that).

Leah was a phenomenal host, very responsive and fast with her replies to my questions. The place was super comfortable and welcoming. It was peaceful and quiet just as advertised. Had a wonderful stay!

Very nice home. You can tell a lot of care went into making sure it has everything one would need when staying there. Host was very good at communication and making sure I knew they were available if I needed anything. Would recommend 100%!

We had a great stay!! The house was perfect for the five of us and our dog, with enough space for all of us to feel comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The pool was the best part! Melissa was super prompt when it seemed like the heat to the pool wasn’t running and we were back in there in no time - the heated water was perfect for this fall weather! We also tried some of the recommended spots and overall, this was exactly the quick getaway we needed!

AMAZING LOCATION! I'd like to point out that I stayed in this location for a month. I'd also like to point out that I will be returning. This place was very clean, neat and newly renovated. I have a phobia of bugs and didn't encounter anything the entire stay. The neighbors were very nice. The block was peaceful and not to busy. Not to mention Nikki was the best host that I could've ever asked for. She was extremely responsive and very personable.

A hidden gem! Perfect hideaway for city and country folks alike.

Area: secluded, yet within a quick drive to the city center of Valpo. This area of Indiana is great for its proximity to the Lake Michigan southern shoreline as well as Chicago. You can drive up to one of the South Shore line train stations and take the train in to Chicago to save yourself the headache of driving in the city. House: A beautiful property with view of the lake. Updated amenities, great dual shower in the master bedroom, and large with multiple bedrooms. Visiting from the noise and crowds of Manhattan, this quiet and peaceful property was a welcome respite. Host: Daniel was one of the most responsive hosts I’ve had the pleasure of working with. For example, he reached out to me to let me know the food I had ordered had been delivered to a neighbor’s house, and even let my local parents come grab a suit that I had left in the closet after a hasty departure to the airport. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We loved our stay in this clean, comfortable, and spacious rental just a couple of blocks from downtown Valpo. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen and bathroom have recently been updated and look great. Everything was very clean. We will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying at Evan’s. Our daughter and her family stayed in Evan’s other unit across the hall, and it was perfect for all of us. The unit was very clean and comfortable. We found it very very quiet and weren’t disturbed in any way by its proximity to downtown. We walked each morning, and evening and a bit in between. We enjoyed Fluid (thank you for the complimentary gift card) and made a trip back for another cup. There are several options for eating out. April was the perfect weather for us to hike each day. If we come back through Valparaiso we’d absolutely stay again.

Nice private, quiet place to stay. Stayed longer term due to construction job in the area. Diana was very accommodating and cleaned every week. Did linens, removed trash, provided snacks, water, coffee, etc. Very friendly and flexible. This place works well for me as a construction worker.

We are returned guests and highly recommend staying at Emily and Shawn’s place. The hosts are very easy to communicate with and have always made us feel welcomed and at home. The apartment is very clean, spacious and located right in the middle of the downtown area. There are several great restaurants (we particularly love Mediterina, Parea and Blockhead) cute boutiques, great coffee houses and a fabulous specialty gourmet market that has quite a great selection of wines and cheeses within walking distance.

Loved staying at this Airbnb. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. Hosts were great at communicating and very friendly! :) This location is perfect if you want to explore the dunes and beaches in the surrounding area.

The space was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The drive to get there was absolutely lovely—scenic and peaceful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Local food places were with 15 minutes and the hour drive to Chicago was not bad. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again! The communication with Mark was incredible very responsive and helpful.

This place is a gem! Great location, very safe, cozy atmosphere, lots to do! Treat yourself and book this condo - it's so wonderful!

Kristin’s place was incredible! Super clean, beautiful decor and I booked for the same day, snd she answered within 15 minutes. I switched to another condo in the same complex, but felt like hers had more amenities. Especially the timer coffee pot! What a treat it was to have fresh coffee when I got up. Coffee was there, along with creamer. It sounds simple, but it’s the attention to detail that made me love her place even more.

Dave made us feel right at home and answered any questions we had. His place is near restaurants and stores which were very convenient! It is also a 12 minute drive to the national park and there are so many places to check out. It’s about a 45 minute drive to Chicago and there’s a train nearby if you want to take that instead into the city. I highly recommend staying here Dave’s place was clean and he was an amazing host!

Great stay! So clean, comfortable, and looked just like the pictures. Easy to find and get in, clear instructions. Loved it!

Joel’s place is a very rare and stunning place! We felt right at home with classy decor, spotless, and luxury linens. I would recommend to anyone to stay here to have a relaxing few days away. The view and accommodations were just perfect! We can’t wait to come back and stay there again!
