A great spot for a family holiday. Very close to everything, beach; shops, restaurants. The pool was lovely on the hot days. Michele added lots of extra special touches. We had a lovely time. Thank you

The place is as advertised. While it could be cleaner, it's not too bad. The furniture is in good condition, which adds to the comfort. The smart TVs are a nice addition, but unfortunately, none of the apps (DSTV, Netflix, Showmax) were working. Access and entry procedures are simple and straightforward. The host’s communication was excellent—responsive and helpful throughout the stay. Checkout can be a bit challenging for a family with kids, but it's understandable. Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely go back.

The place was great, even better than the pictures. All the amenities listed were available and so much more. It’s a dream for young kids, because of the large pool and yard space to run around. The communication was great, all our questions were answered very quickly. The place was spotless and remained so for our entire stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. Definitely recommend 10/10

Gorgeous home with great layout and in a beautiful secure estate. Susie and Lauren were incredible hosts, very responsive and helpful and will definitely stay at their gorgeous house again when visiting Ballito again.

Great spot to be if you want to experience Zimbali has to offer. A proper inverter system would be great improvement

We had never stayed in an Airbnb property before and so had no idea what to expect. However, The Lilypad surpassed anything we could have imagined. The house itself was beautiful and much bigger than it seemed in the photos and Derrick and Margi are the perfect hosts. The house is spacious and very well equipped. Even the monkeys turned up to watch us eating lunch in the garden one day. It was like a wildlife documentary in reverse! We could not believe their generosity in taking our children to the airport at 5.30am after we left! If all Airbnb properties and hosts are all like this then we are hooked. What an amazing getaway - absolutely stunning views, walking distance from the beach and near amazing restaurants and shops. We had our toddler and our senior dog with us, and both of them enjoyed it thoroughly. Felt like home away from home. Will definitely be going back 😀 thank you Margriet for being such an amazing host.

Janne's place really is a home away from home. The cottage is peaceful and surrounding by a wonderful garden that overlooks some of the best parts of Durban. We didn't want for anything, the kitchen was well stocked with essentials, the bed was large and comfy, the internet was fast, the aircon is very effective and the cottage was very easy to lock up and go. I highly recommend this spot when in Durban and will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, love Hajra who really takes good care of the place. Marian is always checking in and keeps us updated. This is our third stay and will be returning. Thank you Marian and Hajra.

What can I say except WOW! Started off the day watching the sun rise over the ocean while enjoys a wonderful cup of tea on the two chairs dedicated to Nono and Maxime. We could then walk down to Thompson Bay beach directly from the garden. When a day in the waves was over, a short walk up the steps to the outdoor shower by the pool for a quick dip then a quick braai on the amazing stainless steel braai by the pool. To end it all, going to sleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing all night! And in the morning, Elizabeth was there to sort out our messy dishes and Russel washed off all the kids beach toys…. I can’t recommend the place enough and hope to be back next year. Thank you Denise and team, truly amazing trip xx

An absolute paradise! Great for all ages, we had from a toddler for the day to 85 year old mama, who all felt at home and had a wonderful time. We lived on the back porch, soaking in the sun and breeze and catching up with each other after 2 years apart. Would absolutely stay again!

Spectacular, from the location, the views, the beach access, space, and amenities, this place is heaven for those looking for a quiet, private breakaway to a pristine area just off the M4. Also close enough to Ballito for shopping. The house is perfect for families wanting to relax and enjoy the view, and really does have all you need. Debra was also an excellent host, very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

The fact that you can literally just cross the road and be on the beach makes this place a gem! The patio area chairs were so soft and comfortable, and it was so amazing that we could relax on the patio while listening to the ocean. Some small things to note - one, the garden is not fully “enclosed” so if you have a pet, keep in mind that there’s another airbnb and the owner sharing the same property as you. The unit also lists dstv and a tv, but unfortunately the tv seems too out of date to run dstv smoothly, and makes it unwatchable due to it getting stuck every few seconds. Second bed setup by the tv was so comfortable we enjoyed just relaxing there without the tv anyway. The bed was also comfy and there were plenty pillows! The kitchen was generously stocked with some basic food supplies and was very clean and the perfect size. Warren is one of the most proactive and friendly hosts we’ve met. He even brought us 10l of spring water during our stay! We recommend Wazo’s 🤟🏄‍♂️

Lovely home away from home. Very peaceful with no traffic or other noise. Great views, and the house is spacious for indoor and outside living. Julie was very helpful, offering local recommendations, quick to respond and even gave one of our children a lift when he got dropped off and had a long walk back to the house. All in all a great spot, the wildlife around the estate was a treat and within a short drive of some great pubs and restaurants. Can thoroughly recommend.

What a Truly 5 Star experience than my wife, daughter and I had at Kerry's place. The house is truly 5 Start yet the pricing is actually very reasonable for the value One receives. Kerry is proactive in her communication, very responsive to the guests requests and is very flexible. The house is always spotless due to the very helpful and diligent cleaning team. Definitely going back there soon!

This place was amazing, great hosts, very peaceful. I enjoyed every second. Looks just as in the pictures, fun activities are nearby and easily accessible. A beautiful hiking trail at the Umhlanga Lagoon is a walkable distance away so is Oceans Mall and the beach. Loved it!!!

What an amazing long weekend getaway! Natalie was so so helpful with everything we needed. The unit is beautiful and cosy with a magnificent view! Natalie went out of her way to make sure we have everything we needed- she's such a sweet and kind host. The doggo's are so well behaved and the friendliest you'll ever meet- definitely one of the many highlights of this unit! I will definitely book again x

Pictures dont do the place justice. A lovely place. Easy access to the beach, 15min walk to oceans mall and tons of restaurant's. Two tvs. No complaints

The house was the most beautiful place you have ever rented. The house and furnishings were of an extremely high standard, luxurious, comfortable and every need was catered for. Beautiful entertaining area outside with swimming pool and bar. Staying in this home, was the same as staying in a luxury 5 stay hotel except it was homely, beautifully furnished and extremely spacious. l If you ever have the opportunity of staying in this beautiful home, you will not be disappointed as it exceeded all expectations.
