The description and photos are very accurate but do not do justice to this cottage. It was absolutely perfect, we fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. You can see all the hard work and effort John and Lori put into this place for their guest. It was decorated beautifully, my husband loves all the canoes that were sitting around. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away and just relax. Thank you again John and Lori.

This property was everything I wanted and more. My best friend and I spent my birthday weekend here and we were beyond impressed with this beautiful home. It was perfect for what we needed and we felt right at home immediately. The bed was extremely comfortable and so was the couch in the living room. From cozy blankets to the stunning decor, the relaxing hot tub, almost 360 mountain views, I couldn’t have asked for a better bday weekend getaway. Our gracious host, Ashley, was super communicative and all instructions for check-in and check-out were crystal clear. She is an excellent host and I am already excited to come back and stay at this property again!

We adored Casita del Sol! The hosts go above and beyond to ensure their guests enjoy their stay. From the added personal touches of homemade buckeyes and doggie treats to the outdoor accommodations such as the hot tub and yard games, we truly felt like it was our home away from home. This place is THE BEST place for families with young kids that we have ever stayed. We visit the area often to see my parents, and we definitely plan to stay here again! Thank you for an amazing trip!

If you want somewhere private and tucked away, yet close to everything, this is your spot. We loved the private hot tub and screened in porch overlooking the natural pool’s waterfall, which is beautifully lit after dark. With no children allowed, it is a place for adults to go and relax without interruption, unless the door-dash delivery person knocks on your door. It’s lovely

We enjoyed our stay very much. Home was exactly what we were looking for with our selection. Peaceful area with hiking near the home in the Taylorsville State Park.

Absolutely loved our stay at this serene getaway cabin! The setting is peaceful and private—perfect for unwinding after a busy week. The hot tub was a highlight, especially the creek flowing was super soothing, and the cabin itself was clean and cozy. One of the best parts was how close it was to town & just a quick drive to great restaurants, shops, and local attractions, yet it still felt like a true escape. We appreciated the host’s clear communication and warm hospitality. Best record collection of any stay anywhere :-)

Great place to stay! My husband and I had such a peaceful and relaxing time. The cottage felt very cozy. I had some trouble checking in because I'm not used to AirBnB, but the host was very helpful and responsive. Checkout was easy as well! We hope to come back soon!!

Our stay in the cottage was great! We were 10 total - 8 adults and 2 kids - and we wish we would’ve rented for another day. Spacious and comfy, the cottage provided both privacy and options to hang out together. The coffee bar and game room were a big hit! The hosts were extremely responsive.

From the breathtaking natural surroundings to the simple pleasure of kayaking through calm waters, each moment felt like a gentle reset for the soul. What truly elevated the experience was our host, Shawn. More than just a “super host,” she embodied hospitality in its finest form. Her attention to detail, her care for comfort, and the thoughtful touches throughout the home surpassed even the details of a Hollywood studio setting !

Cute little cottages built in the 1940's. Nice change from the new mega beach front properties. There were a couple other families staying in the other cottages. Was quiet setting and cottages were nice distance to the beach. Host was response to an issue we had while our stay.

Great place for a small group gathering. Fantastic hot tub. Great space, stocked kitchen, plenty of things to do nearby.

We had a truly wonderful time here! Mike was the most amazing host, and greeted us when we arrived. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, the cozy cottage, and beautiful yard. Most importantly, I forgot my work laptop when I left, and Mike was so understanding and responsive. He arranged for next-day shipping, which put my distraught mind at ease. I’m so grateful for Mike’s hospitality and trustworthiness! We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Asheville. Thank you!!

This was our 3rd time staying here for us it’s a perfect location and when we don’t have things scheduled it’s always a great place to just relax and enjoy the animals and peacefulness.

This was our second visit to The Cottage. We love the location - tucked away in the quiet of the woods, but still close to grocery stores and restaurants. The place is immaculately kept and very comfortable. The hosts are incredibly thoughtful, welcoming, and provide everything you could need for a relaxing stay. I have no doubt we’ll be back.

We needed to find a quick Airbnb after backpacking for 3 days, and this place was perfect. We did get a bit confused finding the place as it was already dark outside, but a quick call to the host, and they told us exactly where to go. The place was clean and tidy, and the beds were extremely comfortable! Thank you for letting us stay at such a last minute, we are eternally grateful!

Lovely little cottage on the Sound side of Manteo, not quite on the water but close enough to hear the waves and feel the breeze. Immaculately clean, well appointed, and very quiet — perfect for 1-2 guests. Friendly, communicative owner.

What an intimate, peaceful place! Great for a romantic getaway where we can relax and unwind! We loved the “Bear Channel”. The cabin is easy to find and close to both Hendersonville and Flat Rock. Great restaurants and shops. We definitely want to come back! Nancy & Doug

We were a little worried as we approached the place because some of the surrounding houses were not very well kept up. But the Little House itself was delightful. It was tastefully decorated, well equipped and meticulously cleaned. The whole place was thoughtfully put together to create a peaceful and calm atmosphere. The host sent us detailed instructions for the last bit of directions to the house. Checkout was really simple and the instructions were very clear. It's a great value!
