My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

A very peaceful and quiet retreat in a lovely part of the North East. It was so quiet and relaxing spending time in the hot tub and inside the cottage. Although this is no fault of Rachael's and/or the cottage please be wary that if you're over 6 foot you will be ducking a lot! I banged my head twice coming out of the bathroom when going during the night and still half asleep (again, this is nothing against the host or the location - just a pre-warning!)

Lovely few days stay, Hayley was very friendly and helpful. Cottage is stunning, much bigger than the photos show and had everything’s we needed. Beds very comfy and big en-suites in every room (although there was only 2 of us) secure garden for our two miniature dachshunds which was great. Location is very peaceful and quiet. Can recommend lunch at the Cumberland which was about a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend this place.

We loved our week at Ivy Cottage. Our boys loved the football nets and we all loved the hot tub! The house had everything we needed and we really appreciated the little added extras that made it feel very homely. Great location too. We’ll be back!

Fabulous place to stay. Susan and Phil great hosts. Always available to answer questions but not in any way intrusive. Accommodation is first class/absolutely faultless. Ideal location for visiting the many surrounding towns and attractions. Would highly recommend Susan and Phil's place.

I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Angela’s place was fabulous, we have young children and Angela went above and beyond to make our stay great, would definitely recommend to others, Angela is a wonderful host! The cottage is also very well equipped and clean!

We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

Great stay in Philippa’s place, very cosy and set out in the countryside. Would definitely come back for some quiet time.

Lovely cottage that had everything we neede! in beautiful surroundings. Debi and Mike were really great hosts who communicated well, as well as going the extra mile by putting birthday decorations up for my husband's birthday! We'll definitely be back!

Outstanding cottage, would love to come back soon! The photos don’t do it justice! It’s even better when you’re there. Spotlessly clean, beautiful kitchen/dining room and comfortable bed. The views from the back garden were fab! I can’t recommend this enough, would have happily stayed there longer and will definitely return. It was a lovely gesture that Kate even baked for us!! Had a lovely stay here. Great location in the centre of the village but still peaceful. The house had everything we needed. Very friendly staff on the hotel reception. We would love to come back.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was clean & tidy, loved the wood burner, the bedrooms were lovely especially the master bedroom…very comfy bed. Loved the garden with lots of different seating areas, beautiful view & very peaceful. A 2 minute walk up to the town for shops, restaurants & bars & a 5 minute walk down to the dairy milk bar for fabulous ice creams & milkshakes. Lots of gorgeous near by walks too. A lovely stay & would definitely book again. Thank you Pam.

Lovely cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, Diane has thought of everything and the little extras like the dog blankets/bowls were very much appreciated. The wood burner made us extra cosy when we had a rainy evening. Great to have parking and somewhere near to exercise our dog. An ideal location , we had days out to Kielder Forest & Seahouses as well as exploring the Roman fort sites. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will be back. Thank you.

What a lovely cottage! Julie and Nigel's cottage is a real home from home, and it matches the photographs perfectly. Thoughtfully decorated, and made to feel homely with blankets, pictures, books etc. Homemade bread and delicious muffins, plus milk and tea and good coffee were most welcome. I appreciated the use of Eco friendly cleaning products and shampoos etc. Comfortable bed with cotton duvet cover and comfy pillows. Big, fluffy towels were great. There are maps and suggestions of places to visit and eat. Julie sent me some recommendations too which were helpful. Friendly neighbours who are keen to share information too. It is perfect for two people - and our dog was made ever so welcome too. Julie and Nigel were responsive to messages right from booking to the end of our stay. Thank you Julie and Nigel for letting us stay in your lovely home.

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. Very relaxing break in a lovely home. The area is quiet and peaceful. Lovely walk along the promenade to cafe needles eye (definitely worth a visit!)

Lovely, roomy accommodation in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We were only stopping over for a couple of nights on our way to Scotland, however, this accommodation would be ideal for a longer stay in the Borders.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Hethpool. Eildon was a wonderful host. We would not hesitate in returning to Hethpool Cottage and intend to do so. I have already been singing its praises to colleagues

We stayed in Alice, Lakeside Cottage. The cottage itself was beautiful. It had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. There were also some lovely unexpected touches left for us, like some nibbles, milk and a bottle of wine and a doggy box of pet items. All of which were very appreciated. The village itself was a little further out than I had thought but was stunning. With views of the lake and fields. So peaceful, and lovely to wake up to. As it’s a dark sky area, we did star spotting at night, and loved seeing shooting stars. Thank you great stay, both us and my in-laws had a great time and would definitely stay again, if in the area.
