Everything went smoothly and the flat was clean, spacious, and quiet. The amenities, like washer and dryer, were wonderful. While the location was slightly off the common "tourist path," we actually appreciated that and it was an easy bus ride or Uber back to the flat each night. We also enjoyed the local pub and the food choices nearby. My only issue was the lack of communication about the 3 flights of stairs/no lift. This fact is mentioned in other reviews (as I see now), but not in the description of the property nor in the initial instructions for accessing the flat. The stairs themselves are not Ben's fault and as I learned on my 14-day journey through Ireland and the UK, accessibility is not a priority in these old cities. That's fine. But the lesson for me I guess is to read reviews a little more closely, as that's the only place the stairs are mentioned. I have bad knees so trekking up the stairs each night after a long day was, quite simply, torture. But still a great stay.

Attractive and stylish period property with fresh neutral decor and plenty of space. High ceilings and original features. Location great, at start of one of the main roads out of town, less than 5 mins from train station. Town centre walkable in 10 - 15 mins through an established Victorian residential area around Lovers’ Walk. River / Whitesands area 15 - 20 mins walk. Easy parking for the property on adjacent side streets. Bus route too (Dumfries to Lockerbie). Property is on the ground floor of a 3 storey townhouse, with around 10 steps up to front door. Dumfries town centre and surroundings have lots to offer. Robert Burns’ House and Centre, Gracefield Art Gallery, River Nith and Dock Park, town Museum, small cinema, plus shops including M&S, a large old Dept Store (Barbour’s), and independent shops such as Flourish, for local gifts etc. Plenty of cafés, restaurants and pubs.

I had an amazing stay at Vik and Thiago’s place! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was absolutely perfect—right next to a supermarket and the metro, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city. It was also very close to the University of Glasgow, which was a huge plus. The check-in process was smooth, and Vik and Thiago were fantastic hosts—responsive, friendly, and always helpful. The apartment had a cozy atmosphere, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Glasgow, and I would definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks again, Vik and Thiago, for the wonderful hospitality!

We had a lovely stay in Scott’s very attractive, comfortable flat. It’s got a really nice outdoor patio area and the walk along the harbour is fun to do. Lots of nice restaurants nearby and the parking is very straightforward. Scott himself was very friendly and helpful. All in all quite a find!

We were a family of 5 and spent 3 nights in Rachel’s apartment. Apartment was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Location is excellent. A couple mins to tram and easy walk to all the sights. Near lots of places to eat too and a Tesco express just around the corner. There were boxes of toys in the app which were great for entertaining our 5 year old. Rachel had everything labelled so you know where everything is and how everything works. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Andy was a great host – very friendly and always quick to reply to our messages. We especially appreciated the convenient location, being only a 6-minute drive from the train station. The free parking there was a real bonus, and the 25-minute train journey to Edinburgh city center made exploring the city very easy. It's a perfect base for visiting Edinburgh!

The house looked stunning with Christmas themed treats for the kids and grown ups and the tree was gorgeous. It was wonderful to arrive to our Christmas holiday in such a well maintained, beautifully decorated warm and spotless house. The kitchen was very well equipped and loo cleaner, counter cleaner and various other basics were included which was great because the car was so full I didn’t have space for my self catering essentials bag that I usually have to travel with. If the area works for you I would highly recommend this house. A great play ground was a short walk from the house and Anne put out some lovely bits and pieces to keep the kids entertained; books, games and toys.

Mel was a very helpful and friendly host. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a quiet and peaceful break. Particularly good for the dog with the garden being fully enclosed and free to roam.

We all had an amazing time ! Plenty space for our family of 11 and 3 dogs.

Second time staying with my wife and dogs, will be back as it is well placed for our needs

This is let is worth a visit if you are a family or in a group. It's a peaceful location with off-road parking. We all had a room to ourselves and there are nice places to relax in the house. We were able to walk 5 minutes to the tram stop and be in Edinburgh centre in 20 minutes or so. You can make the best of Edinburgh when staying. Usman is very hospitable and will meet and show you round himself. He communicated well for us and was flexible with when we could check in. This proved very helpful on the day! I would recommend staying here, it's a nice place.

The apartment was easy to find, it is not in the city centre but there are bus stops nearby. We needed to take a bus very early in the morning to the airport and it was easy. The apartment is comfortable and large enough for four people. It is well furnished to have meals in the house. We enjoyed the welcome pack in the fridge. The conservatory and the rear garden are lovely. Enjoy your stay there!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb. The place was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The host was super responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and hassle-free stay!

Very easy to find….and to get into the house.. The size of the downstairs was great for our party of eight. Unfortunately two single women and three couples didn’t go too well with the beds provided. The sofa bed in the double bedroom upstairs wasn’t used. But that was nobody’s fault and in the end we managed ok… We cooked the first night which worked well. We couldn’t find some things we needed evidently but Nadine was helpful.. There are plenty of ovens and microwave …..and washing machine which we didn’t need. TVs in lots of rooms.. Would’ve been better to have had a bigger table and the right number of chairs. Also more than eight of everything mugs, plates, bowls. Dishwater tablets were provided, t towels, towels - great. Wardrobe doors didn’t work in one bedroom…Having two bathrooms was good but because one bathroom is en suite upstairs meant most of us used the downstairs one so mopping up a lot. Easy to catch buses into the city.

The apartment was as advertised. The pictures were accurate great location. Only concern we had was construction started as we got there. It was unfortunate but beyond Samantha’s control

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

The place was large, bright and very clean. The beds were comfortable and bedding was wonderful, incl. a blanket. Sharon is a Great host, had a few questions in which she was quick to answer.

A lovely, clean apartment with all the amenities and the little extras. Gintare was a very friendly, responsive host. I would definetly stay here again and would recommend it as a place to stay in Edinburgh.

This was our second time to stay at Graeme’s place. We love it here! It was squeaky clean on arrival (as it was last time), very modern, and clean beautiful bed linen and towels. A new bathroom had been installed since our last stay. The shower was amazing! The extra low down shower head made it so easy to shower the kids! Kitchen well stocked with high quality plates/utensils/cooking equipment. If you’re coming with young children best bring own children’s plastic plates etc. Washer-dryer was very handy! No dishwasher but didn’t bother us at all. Large store cupboard in hallway, well equipped with coat hooks/ironing board etc and a great place to dump your walking boots and bags out the way! This is such a modern, luxurious place to stay and in SUCH a good location. LOVED being right on the high street, and walkable to the lake. Graeme was very communicative and let us know that we could go in when it was ready much earlier than stated arrival time. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Great flat in a great location, with very receptive hosts. Bathrooms could do with a really deep clean- that’s the only negative.

Me ha gustado que Dora contestara pronto a mis dudas. El apartamento es tal cual se anuncia, muy limpio y la cocina muy amplia y con todo el menaje que necesitas. Solo a tres paradas de tranvía para llegar al centro, y lo bueno que el tranvía llega hasta al aeropuerto. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Muchas gracias Dora!!

Very nice apartment in a nice location of the city. There were three of us - a far better option than staying in a hotel! The living room and kitchen area was great to hang out
