Start to finish, we had a lovely time at Stephen’s river house on the Tickfaw. The home was clean, comfy, and had everything we needed for a week stay. My husband and I really enjoyed the upstairs deck, and the giant tvs. We went fishing with the provided rods and caught a perch and a catfish. The neighbors were friendly. We loved the community - picked up fishing supplies and antiques at P’ Maw’s, and drove up to Hammond for the Saturday morning farmer’s market. Boopalu’s was our favorite eatery - we even saw a baby gator at the dock! Everywhere we went in Springfield and Killian, we got a great exposure to Louisiana’s culture. 10/10 would recommend, can’t wait to come back again.

Very nice cabin, all around very good

This was the first time we stayed at Airbnb and it was excellent. The place was clean. It was in a great location and everything was easy to access. We will definitely be using it again.

BEAUTIFUL home. The stay was absolutely darling. The host was easy to talk to and accommodated needs due to code not working. She answered after hours and got my team situated. Would recommend. You wont regret booking!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! Yancey is probably one of the kindest and friendliest people you'll ever meet and we felt right at home during our visit. We mainly spent our time on the dock baiting worms and catching the local species (she caught 15 or so, I caught 1.5) and just taking in the peace and quiet. This is a great spot in a beautiful area owned by a very warm and welcoming host and we look forward to coming back someday.

Absolutely incredible stay at The Rose Mound on the Blood River! Steven was an outstanding host—super accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for me and my crew of six. The peaceful nature setting was exactly what we needed. We spent time relaxing by the river, exploring the Indian mounds, and just soaking in the vibe of the place. The log cabin living room had that cozy, rustic charm, and the outdoor deck was the perfect spot for hanging out and enjoying the view. We had an absolute blast and are already talking about our next trip back. Can’t recommend The Rose Mound enough!

Casa Del Rio was a wonderful place to chill. The place was HUGE. I think all of us (6 women) were doing our makeup in the Master bathroom at once, its about the size of a large kitchen! The kitchen and family room are an open concept and located right off the hot tub & pool area, so that was great for social circulation. the house is VERY remote, but there are a couple really good local restaurants about 5 min away. There is a grocery store about 10 min away. We saw a gecko on the out side of the house, and an aligator in the river as soon as we got there! Chris, the host was very responsive, and even proactive about communication. He also had 2 other people (sub hosts?) that were ready to jump in and help if needed. wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! This location is perfectly situated between New Orleans and Baton Rouge with easy access to amenities in Gonzalez. The golf cart ride to the cabin is fun and really makes you feel like you are on an adventure. Very peaceful setting with easy access to everything you could want to do. The recommendation for The Coffee House we highly recommend as well! Dennis and his wife were very sweet and accommodating and made sure we were taken care of during our stay! We will be back again!
