We had a great time, nice tucked away cabin, hot tub was fantastic, and the space is super cute. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The lake and surrounding forest were beautiful, and the hot tub was perfect for the chilly spring weather. The location is great, 20 minutes to Ellsworth and 45 to Acadia or Blue Hill. Shelby was a great and communicative host!

Paradise on the Lake was just that….Paradise. From Kayaking to swimming, Paradise on the lake was exactly what our two families needed. A great place to unwind before back to school. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was very cozy.

Gorgeous apartment, hosts were very accommodating and responsive. The apartment was clean and organized. Scenic and quiet location with no disturbances!!

Host was very responsive and friendly. The home was a little out of the way from major spots in Maine (Acadia, Portland, etc...), however, it was a very nice place to settle down and rest with friends.

Check in was easy, cute secluded place but close to things to do.

Christine’s house was gorgeous inside and out- the look and feel of a log cabin was just what we were looking for. For a group of 7, we had plenty of private space, but also a large living room and front lawn to cook, play board games, watch movies, and be together. Our only disappointment was with the surrounding neighborhood- we were anticipating a more secluded environment, access to woods where we could walk, and a more accessible waterfront area. We did however get our fill of Maine’s great outdoors in Acadia, and enjoyed the wonderful fire pit on the lawn. 100% would stay again!!!

I wanted a private lakefront Maine cottage for our vacation and that is exactly what I got. It’s like stepping into a movie set, one of those great lakeside cabins that have been in the family for years and years. I half expected to see Steve Carell to come around the corner. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds comfy with great linens and tons of pillows, and the shower was hot with great pressure. It’s decorated with family heirlooms and antiques and it just welcomes you like an old friend. There are a lot of good family memories in this place and we were happy that we got a chance to add our own. This place is a jewel. Thanks Ashley for being such a great host and sharing your family home with us. Cudos to Evin as well for being there if we needed anything! I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. My husband and I travel a lot and have stayed in many vacation rentals. This is our favorite.

Matthews Trailside Cabins are clean, very new, very comfortable and wisely set up. We stayed because we were arriving late and unsure of crossing MH lake at a late hour we would stay again if same circumstances occur.

Very kind and responsive host, willing to help! We had a cozy night and the location is absolutely breathtaking and so so peaceful! Will definitely be returning this summer!

We had a great few days at Moose Run Camp (we even saw a moose up the road!) The location is right on the main road between Milo and Millinocket which is a perfect location for easy access to facilities such as groceries and laundry whilst also being close to access the back country. The camp has all modern facilities such as television, wifi and hot water with a shower. It was a perfect compromise for us, between camping in the wilderness or staying in a town centre, as we were travelling from Europe and not able to bring all that is needed for a wilderness camp. The camp had soap, toilet paper, bedding and towels we really only needed to bring food and drinking water.

My sisters and I had a wonderful four days at Kitahdin's Rest. The setting is spectacular, especially when you kayak or canoe or ski out to the middle of the lake (or even just out of the bay) and see Mount Kitahdin in all her glory. It is very close to Baxter Park, which was why we chose Erin's cabin. We could get to the Togue Pond Gate in 15 minutes with all the exquisite trails in front of us. The cabin had what we needed and we were very comfortable.

Adorable cabin with just what you need and a friendly host! Private, peaceful location. Perfect for a quiet getaway weekend! The area has so much to offer from snowmobiling to ATVing, hiking and site seeing. Check out the local farm stands! Also, Salted Butter Farm in Sherman and Katahdin Brew Works for local food and brews with friendly staff!

We had a wonderful time at the Spruce Lodge! Plenty of grass to play out front and a lovely little beach for the kiddos to swim safely and comfortably. The water was warm, the lodge was quaint and perfect for a "camp" style getaway. The two men in our group are both around 6'6 and could barely fit in the bathroom, so fair warning if you are (very) tall - you will have to crouch while using the shower! This was certainly no strike against the camp, though! The location is great if you are looking for something that feels isolated while still having people nearby. We had folks walking around and talking to us but we never felt like anyone was encroaching on our space. Please note if you have a dog - there will be other dogs running around on the property without a leash. Andy was attentive when we asked for him to limit the interactions that his dogs have with our kids. He was extremely considerate, supplied firewood and even started our fire for us! FANTASTIC Stay - 20/10!

Couldn’t be happier with our stay! Michelle was a great host and the property was everything we wanted and more. We honestly found ourselves spending more time just enjoying the property and the surroundings then some of our planned activities. It was truly hard to leave and we would come back and stay in a heart beat!

A cozy, private and safe getaway in the woods. I was warm, comfortable and fell asleep to the sound of owls. I enjoyed building fires in the wood stove. There's a nice stock of children's toys and books, and games for all ages-a nice touch. Make sure you've got clear instructions on how to use the outside shower and you're good to go. Sarah's son Graham was very helpful when I had questions. Staying at Sarah's was the exact right place for my retreat. I hope to return. PS: eat breakfast at Ralph's in the nearby town of Brooks. The co-op next door to it is charming too.

I loved this stay! Went for my birthday! Very Pet friendly and the host stocked the cabin with tons of necessities, and was very detailed with the things she had for us! Tons of space for your dog to run and play! Very peaceful and private! Dead quiet! Sooo healing for the soul! This was a much needed stay and a 10/10! So many memories were made this past weekend and we are already talking about coming back! Our dog gave it two paws up!

My husband and I had a great stay. We really enjoyed the fire pit outside in the evenings. The home was very cozy and had everything we needed. Close drive to Bangor.

Daves camp is beautiful and well kept. The layout of the camp is great! The camp is outfitted very nicely and has everything you need to cook meals. I would highly recommned renting this camp.

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

Steven’s cabin and land were the perfect spot for camping. The place was clean and beautiful with so much space on their property. The space was perfect for two people and a dog, although if you had two more people it would be fine too. They have everything you need to cook, clean, shower, make fires, kayak, and grill. He provided clear instructions on how to get there and it was very easy to find with those. If I ever were to go back to Acadia National Park, I would definitely look to book here again - it was a great peaceful stay!
