Frequented by wildlife you will often see deer, hummingbird, fox or turkey on your drive up the private 1.7 mile road that traverses the mountain. The home is solar assisted & made of eco-friendly Straw Bale construction. Walk barefoot on warm radiant heat floors in the winter.

Ranch-style 460 sq ft studio with full bathroom & attached kitchen area. This studio has epic views of the creek & mountains and is located 200 ft from the main house. We have been told it is of the most beautiful locations in Colorado! 15 minutes to downtown Durango, 20 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort, and 5 minutes to the Hot Springs & a shopping plaza, and 40 minutes to the airport. There is a cafe/gas station/liquor store across the road. We also have another airbnb here with a spa deck!

Our beautiful mountain home is nestled between Durango and Pagosa Springs Colorado. Whether you are looking for a quite, private and secluded vacation spot or a home between two local ski resorts (Purgatory and Wolf Creek) this home offers the best of both worlds. This is also a great hunting spot, less than a quarter mile walk to public hunting property held by BLM. You can walk right out the door and hike, snow shoe, or sled down the driveway. We are not present when the home is occupied.

This space has everything you need for a memorable Durango vacation. We are just a five minute walk from the Animas River Trail, Durango Joe’s Coffee, and Sunnyside Farms Market. If you prefer something familiar, Dunkin Donuts and Freddy’s are close by, too! The home is 7 miles from the airport, nestled just off Hwy 160 and Hwy 550 on the south end of town. Great location with free parking and beautiful views. Downtown is a quick 10 minute drive. Please note, it is the top floor of a duplex.
