My family and I had such a fun time here for a week visiting family for Easter break. We’re from the city and we loved mchenry and how it was close to so many shops for breakfast, dinner. Ice cream, laundry etc. We were also very close to family and church. Lovely neighborhood with a park across the street. Plenty of room in the apt for my kiddos to run around. I particularly loved that the floors and doors weren’t squeaky and made noise. This is our bi-yearly place from now on.

Jonathan and his lovely wife were so sweet and attentive to my every need! I felt so at home! The place was spotless, and so peaceful. My experience was amazing 10/10! Will stay here again and recommends anyone looking for a home away from home with a nice view and beautiful kitchen to stay here!!! You won’t regret it. Thanks again for everything Jonathan and Bri! It was a great stay and very close to the train station which was a plus. A good ideal spot if you want to walk downtown to grab a bite. The place is quiet and perfect for a pair, me and my partner really enjoyed the stay. Thank you so much for having us!

We really enjoyed our weekend at the Chain O’ Lakes Beach Penthouse and would definitely recommend it! The lake view from the large upper deck was stunning—sunsets over the water were a real highlight. The space was clean, matched the listing, and had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. There was even plenty of propane for the grill and fire table, which made hanging out in the evening really enjoyable. Even though the unit is above a beach bar, it wasn’t a problem. The music added a fun energy without being disruptive, and the vibe downstairs actually made the place feel lively in a good way. The neighborhood itself was quiet and welcoming, and even the neighbors were friendly. We appreciated the little touches like board and card games, and communication with the host was smooth—quick responses and easy check-in made everything simple. This place is great if you're looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway with a social atmosphere nearby. We'd happily stay again!

Wonderful place. Our only drawback was it’s an upstairs unit and it was hard to keep a 2 year old quiet and not running up and down the hall. Was stressed out when the grandchildren were there. Would not recommend if you have small children. Kitchen is well equipped and we wanted for nothing while there. Had one question and it was answered promptly and Anah even offered to come help.

David was a great host. The house is very nice, super clean, comfortable beds, very quiet neighborhood.

Most definitely a recommended place to stay at. the host is very responsive and helpful with whatever you need in the house. The Airbnb most definitely met the requirements for my family of than 10. love the place very peaceful and would most likely be back again when I have the chance.

This was our first time renting an Airbnb, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a great home, conveniently located in the Geneva/St Charles area. The home is spacious, with upgrades throughout, beautifully decorated, comfortable and exceptionally clean! The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy an extended stay for our adult family. There is also a finished walk out basement area with a nice gathering or play area for families with small children. The host Stephanie was very responsive and considerate to our unique needs, and check in and check out instructions were simple. The house is everything as listed and described, it was a good home base for us visiting family in the Fox Valley area over the holidays. Highly recommend this house and Stephanie as a host. We would stay here again.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The highlight was definitely the backyard — it’s beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing. We especially enjoyed the bonfire area in the evenings, which made for such a cozy vibe. The theatre room was also a fantastic bonus — perfect for movie nights with great sound and seating. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and fun getaway!

what an absolute DELIGHTFUL experience it was staying in the Secret Garden! did not need to drive anywhere..enjoyed walking to everything in this beautiful area of town! felt safe and secure and you can feel the love and light this place brings. Mary is also a DELIGHT! so grateful for all She did to make my stay feel very special.

Brent’s place was perfect for our stay while we visited our family in the area. The location was very convenient to walk around downtown to nearby coffee shops and restaurants. Although it could be noisy at times middle of the night, we did not mind the white noise while sleeping. We especially enjoyed the comfortable beds! We will definitely plan to rebook with Brent for our next trip to Crystal Lake!

Lauren’s place is amazing. A lot of work went into making sure this feels like home… and a very nice one. The size is great. Bedrooms are large. Living, dining and kitchen are large and perfectly decorated. Everything is amazing. Lauren is also a great host! She is very accommodating. If are staying in the area. Stay with Lauren. You’ll love it.

Very nice place in a great location. Brent is an excellent host who communicated everything beforehand and checked on us after we arrived to make sure we didn't need anything. The place was very clean and looked like the pictures. We walked to many restaurants, shops, the farmers market, and the car show while we were in town. Would highly recommend this place or any others that Brent hosts. Thank you, Brent for a lovely stay!

This location was exactly what we expected!! The pictures are very accurate. The duplex was beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and so were the couches. We would have loved to have stayed longer, but our insurance adjuster did not file for our extension in time. We would definitely recommend 😊
