we always stay out kona coast. we love it here when we need a lil getaway. always friendly & attentive service. they gave us ground floor because they seen we had kids & easier for us. they were very accommodating. Will definitely be back soon again.

Clean and well-maintained. Lovely pool and hot tub.

I have never been in such clean facilities, amazing staff and beautiful location. To access the beach, you have to walk up and down a steep hill. Not central to Kailua-Kona. If you want to mostly stay on the resort, this place is amazing. However, if you want restaurants/coffee shops/ beaches that are easily accessible by foot, this is not the ideal place. Rental car is a must. Mahalo for the hospitality!

Great place to stay when visiting Kona! The resort grounds were very nice and the pools were very clean! There is several pools on the grounds and they aren’t very busy - everytime we got the pool to ourselves! Our only compliment would be that throughout our stay we had multiple critters including several cockroaches in our room despite always having the door closed. We reported the critters to the front desk and we were told that it is an “island thing”. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would stay here again.

The accommodation met our expectations. Very comfortable, large and clean, with sea view terrace. Very nice pool with small functional bar-restaurant with a functional quick menu when you don't want to travel somewhere to an island restaurant. Nice amateur tennis court - plastic squares surface and not exact tennis parameters net, but even like that very nice for holiday's match, and for free. We only missed the nice resort beach, but that was the same problem mostly everywhere on the Big Island. There was no bathroom soap.

the location is perfect as it's walkable to the king and queen plazas with plenty of restaurants and shops. the hotel, restaurant and coffee bar were very convenient and the food was good quality. The pool, hot tubs and beach were perfect. they even have a water slide for kids and adults! Love that it was also walking distance to a local restaurant called lava lava which has amazing fresh seafood and mai tais!

We had a great time staying here. Unlike other places in HI, it was mostly quiet and our baby was able to nap fairly well. The room darkening shades helped with this as well. If you arrive late, be sure to ask for a pack n play before you get there. We arrived late (circa 10:30 PM) with a 10 month old baby and we couldn't get a pack n play that night. Had our baby been smaller this would have been an issue. If you need a pack n play and are arriving late be sure to contact the resort ahead of time. Or, the resort should allow the check in staff access to the housekeeping supplies.

This is my second time staying at kalvens place and words will not explain how beautiful this place is I had an ocean view, I felt like I was at home big living space had everything you needed on property. 10/10 will recommend with this place if you come to Kauai

Would stay again, this was a great place!

We stayed at Kalven’s place with our baby and we loved our stay there. Kalven was very responsive at all times we’ve reached out and very easy to communicate with. The place was beautiful, peaceful and close to restaurants and some nice beaches. The amenities we used, like the hot tub, were also great. We ended extending our stay two extra nights and we appreciate how smooth and easy the whole process went and the fact that we didn’t have to check out and into another apartment. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

General timeshare booking so hosts are not involved much, you deal with the resort basically after time of booking. The price was good, resort itself could use some updates in rooms and upkeep around the property in places but overall I would stay again. Location was great quiet but close to main Kona town.

The condo unit was spacious. The complex was quiet and lovely. We enjoyed walking around the complex. The unit was a little dated, however, we loved how large it was. Plenty of room for 4 adults to move around. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishware.

We had an enjoyable stay and made full use of the room’s facilities, as well as the pools and walking paths around the property. The scenery is beautiful, and the location was perfect for my trip, which was for the IM WC 2024.
