This rural home was exactly as advertised. We were in the area for our sons wedding. Our 2 adult children and their wives spent a couple of the nights with us, and this 3-bedroom home easily accommodated us with enough space. The fully stocked kitchen was perfect for home cooked meals, and the exterior decks were great for hanging out for meals and evening conversations. The rural location felt very private, and we were able to enjoy time at Governor Dodge State Park, along with restaurants in Dodgeville and Spring Green. The hosts were great to work with. My wife and I have AirBNB'd our own home in the past and we recommend this place if you are staying in the area.

Such a beautiful stay! The wow factor when you pull up is just the start! We had the most amazing time and made so many wonderful memories staying at this beautiful historic home. From seeing fireflies in n the evening to morning coffee on the beautiful screen porch, we had the most wonderful family adventure. The third floor was setup perfectly for our twin girls in one room and our son in the other! Town of spring green close by was a family favorite and we had some amazing dinners/lunches there. 100% recommend you try this stay. Make sure to have good bug spray and you are set! Our family, dogs included, really enjoyed the property. The large well-fenced yard was a game-changer for our trip and allowed us to spend hours outside playing with our dogs. The house was clean. The host was responsive and considerate, even leaving a dozen farm-fresh eggs, a block of cheese, and a bag of dog treats for us all to enjoy. We hope to stay there again in the future.

It was an amazing get away for me to propose to my girlfriend and have a way for us to relax!

AnaCapri's place was gorgeous! Everything was so thoughtfully pulled together, and the home was just beautiful. We used the space for a team meeting and had everything we needed, and AnaCapri catered in custom lunches from local restaurants, as well as breakfast pastries in the morning. The coffee was delicious, the house was clean, and it was easy for us to get everything we needed done distraction free. Would be an awesome space for a friend getaway or small family to enjoy the outdoors. Very peaceful and tranquil and would love to come back when the weather is warm to experience the walking trails, flowers, animals, etc. Definitely recommend!

We were in town for the Fall Art Tour and Etienne's property was perfectly located for our home base for the weekend. There were only two of us, but we are already thinking of how much fun it would be to come back for a family gathering. The house is within walking distance of High Street with all of it's shops and restaurants. The rear of the property has a secluded fire ring were we began the day with a cup of coffee and ended the day with a glass of wine. Lots of cozy sitting areas begging you to slow down and curl up with a good read. No TV! I love that! Turn off the news, people! We had a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing weekend and we definitely intend to return. Thank you, Etienne.

Great place for a writer's retreat. Truly a special place. Surrounded by nature, peaceful, yet a short trip to groceries and quirky, historic main street towns (well, we only made it to Mineral Point). My friends and I cozied up and wrote, enjoying a gorgeous view out the bank of windows, perfectly positioned for the evening sun to bathe the living room. Kitchen and baths well appointed. Hosts were friendly and communicative. I only wish we could have used the pool! Definitely will come back in summer.

Great place! Had a large group but there was plenty of room for everybody indoors and out. Used the kayaks and the lake was quiet and peaceful. Tavern in Avoca was welcoming and very good Would love to stay again

Warm and welcoming hosts - so nice to have a kind note, lights on, and chocolates and wine waiting for us (although we did not partake in the wine - but loved the intent behind it). Definitely hunting cabin vibes -- we are so jealous and wish we had this type of accommodation for when we go hunting. Another nice thing: we weren't asked to strip sheets, run the dishwasher, wash towels and take out the garbage like so many other Airbnbs (what's the point of the cleaning fee if the guest has to do half the work?). All that was asked was to put used towels in a pile on the floor - so appreciate that when we have to depart for an early morning flight. Thanks John and Kitty - if we are ever in the area in the future, we will be sure to book again.

Sandy was a fabulous host! She met me at check in, gave me great local tips and was so kind in getting me settled in. She even sent me a message when the Northern Lights were visible so I could run outside and see them too. The property itself was clean and perfectly decorated. Being along the river made for beautiful views day and night. She does mention traffic noise in the listing and there was some - if you're a light sleeper, ear plugs or a sound machine might be a good idea but you do get used to it pretty quickly. Highly recommend staying at Sandy's little cabin on the river!

This place is easily the coolest rental I’ve ever stayed at. I don’t even know Chris but I felt like I was staying at a friend’s vacation home. Everything was in order, clean, welcoming and totally hospitable. Even the guitar was tuned! A perfect place for a quiet, peaceful getaway.
