We are local ( stay in Lakeside ) and decided we wanted somewhere close by to emerse ourselves in nature and forget the rest of the world... Overstory is certainly the place for that. If you want somewhere private and cosy, with all the amenities, this is definitely the destination! 2 nights of bliss..Magic, magic magic! Will definitely be back in winter.

Our weekend in Kalk Bay staying at this beautiful and unique pad was absolutely perfect. We were welcomed in by a huge pod of thousands of dolphins in False Bay which was incredible. We were absolutely thrilled upon arrival to find a gorgeous home - stone, glass and wood with lots of local features and character. We loved spending hours on the deck soaking up the views and Kalk Bay vibe. It is in the perfect location in Kalk Bay - high enough to have amazing views of the mountain, harbour and ocean, and low enough to have easy access via stone steps to the wonderful shops, restaurants and bakeries in the village. We loved our walks along the seaside and our swims in the refreshing tidal pools, all within easy walk of this cottage. The hospitality from Greg, and Jane, was so warm and welcoming with lots of special touches to help us enjoy our weekend. This is a 10/10 experience and a stay that I highly recommend. This is going to become one of my favourite getaways!

Gillian was a fantastic host, the cabin was spectacular and looked exactly what the images showed, super clean and had everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed a very peaceful weekend away in the forest :-)

I stayed at Bronwyn’s for a few weeks, it was a nice calm and green space that was a good base in Cape Town. Bronwyn was a really considerate and communicative host.

This place is extremely cosy. Premium design and the jacuzzi is sensational. The host is very friendly and communicates very well. I’ll stay here again. I’ll say that a winter stay at this cabin would be absolutely perfect.

A lovely and cosy hide away very close to downtown Capetown, easy to reach using Uber. Stylishly decorated. Need to be able to handle steep stairs. Lovely view from a romantic terrace.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is very cosy with great views of the sea, a perfect base to relax and unwind. It’s a short walk/drive to the beach as well as a lovely coffee shop & deli. The cottage is also ideally situated for day trips to explore the area. Can’t wait to come back!

Uta's place was in an absolutely lovely location, which for us, was the key attraction. The property itself was idyllic and rustic, with the quirks mentioned in the description. Occasionally, these quirks were frustrating and probably easily fixable - like the lack of a lock on the bathroom door upstairs, or the fact that the shower has no protective curtain to stop leakage. With these simple changes, we would gladly return.

Thank you Caroline we loved staying in your beautiful home. It is peaceful and decorated with love and care making it a comfortable, homely and relaxing place to spend time away. The area is peaceful and beautiful, close to the beach and lovely for neighbourhood walks. It is close to the Noordhoek Farm Village which has lots of good restaurants, a great deli and ice cream shop. Lovely for a weekend away or longer.

This garden cottage was perfectly located to all main attractions that campsbay had to offer. Only a short walk to the beach. Comfortable & neat size cottage. YouStay was accommodating. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Rita‘s house is a wonderful refuge in beautiful Scarborough. It is equipped with everything you need and a love for detail. We spent a week with our 8 month-old baby and didn‘t miss a thing. The beach view from the top floor is incredible and the house is even nicer than on the pictures. Rita was always very responsive and friendly. Scarborough is an ideal and quite location to explore the cape peninsula. Thanks for everything!

We spent three wonderful weeks in Vic and Christa’s charming wooden house. The house is separate, offering plenty of privacy, well-equipped, and the owners go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. They even took us on a tour of Hout Bay, showing us around, which was a huge help in getting to know the area. The house is spacious and clean, a definite plus. It has a kitchen with an oven, microwave, and a large fridge with a freezer compartment. The pool is shared only with the owners, but they don’t swim, so you'll mostly have it to yourself. Of course, we visited some amazing wineries in Constantia, which is a must if you're in the area. We used both our own car and Bolt/Uber for transportation. The beach, which is not far away, has plenty of great spots to eat. We had a fantastic time with Vic and Christa. They are not only friendly but also very helpful. Staying here is highly recommended!

Carin’s place was great, she was very kind and very communicative. The home has everything you need and a very comfortable bed! Location was great as well. Would highly recommend this place to all!!!

Finding Beach & Mountains was the best find we've found in a very long time. Don and Susan were super friendly and so accommodating. The flatlet and kitchen (just outside the bedroom) was clean, neat and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped as is the bedroom which has the kettle, tea's, coffee and sugar in it. It was the perfect retreat after a long day of sight seeing and if ever we're in the area again, we'll definitely stay there again. We had a really nice stay there and can highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a little place to stay for a few nights. Thank you Don and Susan.

Carl was a wonderful host. This is a stunning rustic stone cottage set in a truly beautiful, private estate. With lush forest and Mountain View’s and within walking distance of Constantia Nek this location is a perfect base to explore Cape Towns hikes, beaches and wine farms. A short drive is the beautiful beaches of Hout Bay and Llandudno. The cottage is on the doorstep of Table Mountain National Park with its famous Cecelia Forest hike & close to the bus stop for the open top red bus which tours Cape Town , as well as being the start of the famous Constantia wine route it’s a great location to Uber back from a day of wine farm exploration. Carl was communicative warm and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay especially watching the resident springboks that Roam this beautiful private estate.

A very special inspiring place and location with a lot of care for detail. Wonderful nature and possibilities to enjoy the stay inside our outside make it perfect for a relaxing retreat.

My stay was very pleasant the place was very clean and had everything I needed. The host was friendly, helpful and really made my stay there a pleasant on. Host assisted me in showing me which best way to get around town which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend it for a single traveller and will be adding it to my preferred places to stay at in Capetown.
