Steve's B&B is a great central location to Pahoa. Our breakfast's were delicious, and having my morning coffee made for me every morning was just awesome. We got great nights sleeps, got to eat on Steve's lanai and see the beautiful landscape as we ate before heading out for our days. Steve gave us great advice on great places to go also. Thanks again Steve for everything.

Lovely home! I was expecting just a room in a house like the description but the space has its own entryway, bathroom, and dining area so it feels like a separate studio apartment. It was beautiful and clean. Would recommend to those wanting to stay close to Volcano National Park!

Die Unterkunft hat 3 Zimmer, es ist ein schönes Haus mit grosser Küche. Man fühlt sich sofort wie Zuhause. Es hat sogar alles für dein Frühstück und James ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Das Zimmer hat ein eigenes Kühlschrank, sehr bequemes Bett und ein Wandschrank. Das Bad war sauber und hatt genügend Platz und frische Tücher. Danke, es war ein toller Aufenthalt.

숙소는 사진에서 보는것보다 더 좋고 깔끔했습니다. 로버트는 우리에게 화산과 주변마을 즐길거리를 알려주었고 우리가 로버트 숙소에 도착한날 화산이 폭발하여 더욱 즐길거리가 많은것을 알려주었습니다. 매일아침은 맛있게 제공해주었습니다. 오늘도 로버트가 차려준 그 아침과 요거트가 생각납니다. 빅아일랜드에 다시간다면 로버트를 찾을것입니다.

We felt very fortunate to have spent 5 nights here while we explored the east side of the island. We enjoyed starting each day in the tranquil setting of the house and then return at the end of the day to unwind. The house is located in its own oasis vibrant with birds, cats and a very sweet dog who make the grounds their home. Lisa and Veltry are gracious hosts which perfectly complimented the welcoming feeling of historic house. It is truly a great place to relax, unwind and absorb the peaceful setting. The location proved a perfect jumping off spot for exploring after being well fuelled each day by the tasty breakfast provided.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home very much. Plenty of room for our family of 5, and the kitchen was fairly well appointed for cooking in. There were also many extras that we appreciated as well, such as flashlights (the property is remote, so very dark outside at night), laundry detergent, books and games. etc. One thing to note is that there was a slight musty smell; I suspect due to the wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms and the tropical climate. This did not bother half of us, but the other half of us who are more sensitive to smells were a little bothered. I think a change of flooring would be a good idea (not an easy fix, I know).

We loved how spacious this house is! The house has been kept very clean. There's plenty of dishes and pots and pans to use, plus a few basic spices and oils. The beds were comfortable (soft mattresses, not firm). We appreciated that there is a place for everyone to hang their towels to dry. We loved how private the home felt in the neighborhood. Being just 5 minutes away from the entry to Volcanoes National Park was fantastic! Kimo was really responsive and helpful.

A beautiful private place surrounded by my favorite native tree, the O’hia Lehua. The host was very responsive, the rooms clean, and I absolutely loved my stay! I hope to return soon.

Kristin’s apartment was actually in of three one room cottages with a bathroom. Clean, airy, had a small electric heater that was plenty powerful and a dual control electric blanket. Great tasting water and plenty of it. Dishes equipped for two. Not posh but not rustic. Nice country cabin.

Great old Hawaiian B&B. We had a fairly plain room, which we expected for the price, but it was clean, and the main rooms with the delicious breakfast and the beautiful surrounding garden made up for it. Perfect location minutes from Volcano National Park.

Lovely staycation :-)

Such a beautiful hidden gem, nestled in the forest just outside of Hilo. It's about a 3-minute drive to "downtown" Hilo, which has a surprising number of very good restaurants for such a small town. Cody's place has only 3 units, and a balcony that includes a shared breakfast area (self-serve) and views of the forest and small waterfall. Bring your bug spray! Overall, a comfortable, beautiful place convenient to Hilo, Volcanoes National Park (an easy 45 minute drive), etc. We are glad we found it!

i came here to recenter myself and this was a perfectly peaceful indoor/outdoor cabin set in the midst of a banana grove to do it in. there are no frills. it is very much as shown. only 25 mins outside of downtown hilo if you need a people/activity fix and there are parks and beaches and lots to do nearby including a farmers market every tuesday. this is a charming location and akiko (who is a gem all on her own) invites you to do sitting meditation, gentle yoga and to visit as you like. sharing the kitchen/bathroom is fine -- there's only one other guest to share with. it's a lovely place and i recommend it if you're not a high maintenance person and just need/want a peaceful space to be. mahalo akiko! mahalo.

I had a great time in this place, very peaceful, beautiful, so much nature and great host. William is a wonderful person, he recommended very nice places interesting and beautiful to visit. I did all of them and every place he recommended was amazing. If you are looking a place to find peace and meet wonderful people, this place in “Hilo” in one of them. I want to come back again. This land is wonderful, exquisite, peaceful a place to talk its God under the Milky Way . Thank you William for your wonderful company.

Jennifer and Chad were such kind gracious hosts for letting us stay in their beautiful property and making us feel like cherished guests. It feels like a 5 star hotel and more. spending time with the animals was such a welcome treat. they have hundreds of feet of private ocean front, and an incredible pool and hot tub. Would not hesitate to stay again.
