This place is fantastic - FANTASTIC location. Beautiful home, great furnishings, great layout with plenty of room for my family of 5 (and our pups). Easy walk to the water, tons of amenities downstairs for the beach. Very well thought out. I would have given 5 stars across the board but one bedroom wasn't as clean as it should have been and we needed to wash linens before we slept there, otherwise it was perfect. We will 100% be back and stay there again. The host was super responsive and the whole experience was fantastic.

Heba’s place is an excellent listing with a great location on Hwy 12 in Frisco. It offers just about every amenity needed for a Hatteras Island visit. Even though my wife and I visited in the winter, we still felt there was much to do outside during our visit. The kitchen was great. The bathroom was clean with a solid shower. The bed was very comfy for those who like a more firm bed. I loved the electric heater in the living room and the TVs in both the living room and the bedroom were a bonus. Ample amounts of parking available and quite private, even though you are a few feet away from other dwellings. There is a great restaurant across the street within walking distance and a gas station only a minute away. 10 minute drive to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, or the Hatteras Ferry and less than 5 minute drive to Frisco Beach. Definitely recommend and would stay here again if this listing is available in the future.

This house was perfect for our group of seven. There are three private bedrooms and 4 bunks in the fourth room which worked well for us. Kitchen amenities were great and the beds were very comfortable! We want to go back. The walk to the beach was short, though there was some serious dune erosion when you arrive at the beach, so did require some added effort to scale steep dune when carrying things to and from the beach (would prove difficult for anyone with mobility issues). Would highly recommend this house. Thanks Karl!

It was very clean, Cristina was very helpful before the trip and during. I definitely recommend this place, not far from the beach, and the hot tub was amazing!

The location of Hair of the Dog is wonderful—really close to public beach access, as well as within walking distance or very short driving distance of several good restaurants (which Melissa helpfully recommended). This was the first time we brought our two dogs to an Airbnb, and the house was really set up for dogs! The pool and jacuzzi were nicely maintained and the fenced in yard was perfect for our pups. I have a big family, so it was helpful to have so many en suite bathrooms. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances, utensils, etc. And Melissa and her property manager were very responsive when we had a minor maintenance issue. The m only real downside is that there are several things that aren’t provided, which should be factored into a prospective guest’s budget and plans and which is why I’m mentioning them—e.g., toilet paper, paper towels, soap and detergent. Sheets are provided, but you have to make the beds yourself so be ready for that. Not a deal breaker though!

Enjoyed our stay. Loved that we could utilize the community pool since the beach had red flags during our entire stay. The beach access private parking was also a plus. Hot tub was a great way to end the day. Lots of space for family meals at the dinning room table.

The home was spacious and clean. Stores, beach, restaurants, and activities all within walking distance. Highly recommend! Sandra was very responsive and the maintenance people were quick to arrive and address a burnt out light bulb even though we advised it wasn’t an emergency. Great place to stay and great people to work with.

Barb was very kind throughout the booking process and provided additional pictures and information to assist with the check-in process. The little apartment was exactly as-pictured! Cute and quiet, right by the Nags Head woods. Public beach access is close by, and the location is incredibly convenient for all that OBX has to offer. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

we have came to engelhard for 18 years now and so sad that we just now found this place! we will be staying here every year for our annual hunting trip! the games made it very fun for us all. was very roomy and felt like a nice lodge that could accommodate a large group! see you again next January!!!!
