What a perfect place to stay! The host, Cathy, was so wonderful! Incredibly kind and helpful with everything! The property was beautiful too. Clean, well kept, PERFECT for a couples vacation! Walking in the door we felt right at home due to the beautiful color scheme. The pool was pristine. Clean. PRIVATE. The location is perfect, literally 20 steps from Old Mandeville in a very safe area! But, if you don’t want to walk, she has bikes available for use too! Ms. Cathy also had near everything we needed stocked in the AirBnB. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We have nothing negative to say about our experience. THANK YOU, MS. CATHY! The house was beautiful and very clean, also it was perfect for my pets. The instructions were very easy to follow and the host responded to me very quickly. When I visit my family in Louisiana again I will definitely try to get that same place. It was very nice.

Myrtle cottage is everything we expected and more, but the true gem is Bobbie herself. She has a beautifully appointed house, meticulously clean and she has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. We frequently visit the North Shore and this is by far and away the top choice of all the places we have stayed. She takes Southern hospitality to a new level! We enjoyed the wildlife, beautiful surroundings and peaceful property. There are plenty of places to explore and visit within 20-30 minutes, and the restaurants in the area will not disappoint. We look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven and visiting Bobbie our resident Southern angel.

thanks a ton for accommodating our group at the last minute. pour place was just what we needed. clean, cheaper than multiple rooms and close to the strawberry festival. hope to visit again

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in town for our daughter's wedding. The place was very close to the church, reception venue, hair salon, and any other stores that we needed to get to pick up last minute items. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, situated near the lake. Marcelle was very accommodating and responded to our questions quickly. We had a party of 6 adults, and there was plenty of room for us to gather, relax, and prepare for the wedding without being in one another's way. The home is beautifully appointed, and we had everything we needed to keep groceries and cook meals during our stay. We highly recommend a stay at The Cottage on the Lake.

Derek is awesome. Our family enjoyed the beautiful and serene place Derek had to offer. The coffee in the mornings on the porch was so calm and relaxing. We will visit again.
