Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Cobbleheugh is a 300 year old cottage, originally ghillie's accomodation for a local estate. The cottage has been renovated with great love and attention, furnished with antique, vintage and upcycled furniture throughout. It is spacious with all the essential things upgraded to modern standards without losing the character of its place in history. With double glazing throughout, a generous high grade bathroom, excellent central heating, woodburner and carpeted bedrooms it is warm and relaxing.

It has been rented out in the summer for about 17 years and enjoys return visitors . It’s a vintage 90’s caravan but comes fully equipped and is clean and comfortable. Linen provided .
