Stayed in this cozy cabin for a chill Bachelorette weekend! It was the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. The views were phenomenal, especially from the hot tub, which was a big seller for us. As other reviews mentioned, it is very close to the Apple House, which we went to twice - once for breakfast and once for lunch. We also enjoyed getting pizza delivered from Anthony's Pizza. Its location was also perfect for visiting Chester Gap Winery and riding horses at Royal Horseshoe Farm. Finally, though a bit of a drive, we enjoyed the Bluegrass Bruch at Patty O's. We were a group of four and while on the smaller side, the cabin was just enough space for us and had everything we desired. Would definitely stay here again. Truly a great stay with communicative hosts!

Tom’s place is the perfect private cabin getaway! He is an amazing host and super quick to respond. The deck and hot tub are amazing, and having access to the community lake is such a nice addition! Perfect place for a peaceful family vacation.

A quiet, peaceful few days away with the family and dog. Morning coffee on the deck and evening sunset walks. Board games and quiet time to unwind. Fun grounds to explore. And very close to drive to fun breweries and Middleburg places to hang out if you want someone else to cook. Overall a very relaxing few days .

What stood out about this amazing home isn’t what is listed on the description but the little things they didn’t mention that made it so welcoming. The kitchen is modern and stocked as well as my own with cleaning supplies, cooking utensils, and extra things like spices. There were night lights in the rooms, which was great for the kids. Cozy fireplace with the wood ready to use. The bathrooms are updated and the bedrooms have cozy bedroom vibes. The hot tub was perfect after a long hike. The sheets and towels are not cheep hotel grade but cozy and soft. Everything about the house just welcomes you in.

The house was really nice and a great place to stay! Having the lake directly across the street was really nice to wake up to. The hot tub was such a nice amenity to have, and it was a "proper" hot tub! We would love to stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matt’s cabin! My husband and I used the kitchen table to play games all weekend. We also relaxed in the hot tub every evening. It was amazing to just sit in the quiet and relax for the weekend! We brought our dog with us and he loved all of the space to run! I would absolutely return!

The Cozy, Clean, Cabin was a very nice place high up into the mountain side. It was close to Front Royal and the Shenandoah National Park. We hiked daily while in the area for spring break. If you stay here, you will enjoy the quiet. Basil and Lori

There was an unexpected maintenance issue at this property the day of arrival but Matt went above and beyond temporarily having us stay at another one of their properties, both of which were clean, beautiful, and with excellent views and amenities. Incredible deal overall myself and my group were all super happy we were able to stay here

My boyfriend and I stayed for our anniversary and we loved every second of it. Joel is extremely responsive and when we couldn’t get the record player to work he was straight to the rescue. The nature and wildlife is beautiful all around and it was such a nice quiet getaway. The kitchen was great and we have never enjoyed cooking that much! Would recommend 100%!

We had an awesome stay at Jackie’s cabin. It was the perfect place to spend our first wedding anniversary weekend. Very romantic, cozy and spotlessly clean. We were so impressed by all of the extra amenities that Jacquie provided for us. Definitely recommend this cabin to other couples, solo travelers, or friends who are looking for some time away from the hustle and bustle. It’s just a few minutes away from many beautiful wineries! The most peaceful place I have ever stayed at

We found this hidden gem and needed a place to stay on a longer timeframe than normal for an average AirBnB stay. Rafael was amazing to discuss our needs and how he could accommodate us. We were allowed to bring our dogs with us, which made it feel like home. The home was cozy and well stocked with the needed amenities. The neighborhood was quiet and full of wildlife. The neighbors are also very pleasant and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and commuted to DC for work. The home is a quick 20 minute drive to University Lot to use the Omni ride bus service with free parking. We highly recommend this home if you are looking for a peaceful getaway or a stay with any easy 1 hours commute to the city.

The place feels very private and quite with a stunning Appalachian mountains view. The cabin is stocked with all the necessary supplies, including snacks, personal care and household supplies. That makes stay much more pleasant as you don't have to worry about all these details and just can relax and enjoy the surrounding.

We had an enjoyable stay. The house is clean and organized (labels were a plus!) and it is in a peaceful setting. Communication was great and Matt’s guidebooks of things to do were very helpful!

This place is an absolute GEM. We were originally planning a camping trip by a river, but at the last minute decided to look for a similar experience, just in a house instead. We were on a tight budget, and let me tell you, this place exceeded our expectations on so many levels. Erica and Richard were both incredibly responsive and super accommodating. Check-in was a breeze, and it was honestly one of the cleanest Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. The listing was exactly as advertised, and the home is in a super quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was fully equipped—surprisingly so! As a chef, I usually bring my own extras, but this kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Even kid-friendly plastics—huge plus! We were lucky enough to get out on the water, fished every day. The first day brought perfect weather, and we spent the entire day outside. Yes, there are bugs, but if you're outdoors, that's to be expected, so just come prepared.

The photos don’t do justice to the experience. A stunning lake view in a cabin setting with tons of fun for the kids. We canoed on the lake, threw the football, cooked a steak meal and ended the evening with s’mores. All of this with driving distance from the beltway for an amazing staycation. I will definitely be back for a weekend getaway from the weekly grind.

We had an amazing stay at Crooked Tree Cabin. It was truly an incredible location surrounded by trees and nature. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and the cabin was comfortable and clean.Frances was a fabulous host….quick to respond to any communication and very helpful.We had such a great time we stayed an extra day . We hiked for 2 of the days in Shenandoah National Park which is a short drive away . It was an incredible experience and would like to come back someday. Book this place if you can you won’t regret it.

The cabin itself was absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained and cozy, with everything we could possibly need. The location was unbeatable, offering breathtaking views and a perfect escape into nature. Pat and Peggy were exceptional hosts, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Matt's place was the fullest stocked kitchen in an airbnb I have every stayed in. It made packing and travel so much easier. The home and property was as described, comfortable and nicely decorated. Matt was helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. He offered us an early check in without us even asking. Overall we had an enjoyable experience with no complaints.
