Had the best stay at Austin lodge ! Everything was immaculate very cosy and worth every penny. Lennox and Leah always responded very quickly and were able to answer every question I had. Location was perfect had lovely wooded walks and not too far from centre. Will most definitely be back.

Great place to stay. Stayed at Pod 3, amazing view of the river, arrived very late and Catherine had the hot tub and pod all warmed up for our late arrival. Although the pod doesn’t get hot as such, hot water bottles were provided and a big fire pit was readily available. Failing that, a hot shower or a dip in the hot tub . Fantastic two nights away, will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic stay at Barn Owl Lodge. Very peaceful, beautiful views and a wonderful hot tub. The lodge itself was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely like to stay again 🙂

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the cabin, David was a great host, very responsive and welcoming. The hot tub after a long walk up Carrock had to be the highlight of the stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting a restful time away in a beautiful location.

Knows lodge is exactly how Tracy decried it, it has spectacular views, is peaceful and beautiful throughout. Tracy and Philip have done a wonderful job creating This beautiful piece of heaven. Me and my partner loved sitting in the chair taking in the scenery. The Wood fired hit tub was new to us but once we grasped it, it was simply stunning. Knowe lodge has everything you could need. We popped into Wigtown which Philip informed us about (Philip is extremely lively and can tell you everything you need to know) and enjoyed looking through the many book stores, we had coffee and cake at reading lasses charge which was incredible then drove to visit the red deer and wild goats. We can’t wait to go back to Knowe lodge, we didn’t want to leave. Thankyou Tracy and Philip

Gorgeous place to stay, we had such a lovely week with our little one and the dog who loved running round the enclosed area around the railway carriage and looking out at the stunning views. Very sad to have to leave!

I’ve stayed in a few Airbnbs, and this was by far one of the best. The surroundings were peaceful, private and lots of open space. The accommodation had everything you could need. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals, and the bathroom was clean and very spacious. There were thoughtful extras too, from board games to spare toothbrushes in case you forgot yours. We also tried the new log-fired hot tub, which comfortably fits two people. Relaxing under the stars was absolutely stunning. Overall, an excellent stay highly recommended!

Kathleen and Peter were absolutely wonderful hosts! ❤️ I stayed at their place for my husband's 40th birthday, and they went above and beyond to make it special. They decorated the space with balloons and even birthday-themed bed sheets, which was such a thoughtful touch! 😊 The place itself was fantastic, and their hospitality made our stay even more memorable. Thank you, Kathleen and Peter, for making our celebration extra special!

We had a fabulous experience staying in your caravan!! It was extremely clean and the owners were quick to respond at all times and were overall just lovely!! We are extremely happy with our stay and would recommend to others. We hope to come back soon!!

what can I say? All the reviews about Herdy Lodge were spot on. To take a teenager away from his playstation to somewhere so quiet I was nervous. That ended when we arrived, just how lovely this place is cannot be described. So peaceful yet loads to do. My son and I have fallen in love with the lake district, my dog has a new found love of sheep and chickens. From arriving and receiving lovely treats and eggs from the farm, to the amazing locations to walk our dog. But so much more than that ... to hear my son ask when we can go back has made me smile driving all the way home to Watford. Andrew & Alison thank you for letting us stay at your gorgeous home. We'll be back next half term. I can guarantee that. Already missing our walks around Talkin Tarn. If I could give 20 🌟 I would.

We had a lovely long weekend stay in the caravan, beautiful location 2 minutes walk to the beach. Fantastic host, kept checking in on us even though she was away herself. Lots of kids books and games oyr girls were very impressed with. Would definitely book again 🙂

This is a lovely cosy place to stay, very peaceful location in beautiful surroundings. The lodge itself is very comfortable and has everything you need. Beds were particularly comfortable. Very warm if you need it to be and lovely seating to sit and watch TV. Outdoor seating for the good weather. Highly recommend!

Caravan was immaculate and had everything you needed. Was really homely and cosy. Nice short walk into town which had lovely dog friendly places to eat and drink. The hill going up to the caravan was very slippy as it had been raining, i had slipped on wet moss going out one morning so just to warn people to be mindful of this. Would definately return as we had a lovely stay.

Had a lovely weekend here with the dogs, there was so much space for them to run around! Loved the bench overlooking the view - added bonus of loads of deer in the surrounding fields. Truly a nature lovers paradise!

Carole and the team were just great - from start to finish they were friendly, welcoming and clearly worked as a big family! The park is beautiful, peaceful and ideal whether fishing for the weekend or getting away from noise and tech with the family or a loved one. Heather cleans the pods and vans immaculately and the recommendations for walks and places to go were helpful and made for a much needed relaxing weekend. Will definitely visit again. se fosse stato possibile sarei rimasta nella casetta per molto più tempo. ma sfortunatamente le vacanze iniziano e finiscono. la piccola casa era perfetta per scappare dalla città ed immergersi in una splendida parentesi fatta di fiori, uccelli e api. Robert è stato super gentile e ha cotto per noi una profumata pagnotta ai cereali. sono stati giorni bellissimi.

Fantastic stay at the sea cubby! A perfect place to recharge and relax, with amazing views, wildlife and lovely accommodation. It was a perfect size for us. Additionally, the cubby has been kitted out with helpful items that you need whilst away - tea, coffee, lovely linen and plenty of great local recommendations which we tried out. The place was super cosy as well considering the coastal location. Would love to come back.

Highly recommend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Charlotte's beautiful herdie hideaway. it is set in a wonderfully secure feild surrounded by sheep and lambs this time of year with views of the countryside all around. The location was so peaceful and secluded perfect to escape the daily grind of life now a days. The hut had everything you need and Charlotte has thought of everything and the bed was so comfy ! it was lovely waking up to the beautiful sunrises and sounds of nature and to top it off the hut is in its own secure feild so our dog loved the freedom to roam while we relaxed around the firepit in an evening. Charlotte was super helpful and responsive to all questions asked and even let us check in early. We will definitely be back again soon !

lovely quiet cabin, lots of walls and wildlife to be seen. Great for a peaceful break. Cabin had everything you could think of and easy location to Dalry shops 5 min drive away.

Our group had the most relaxing stay at this beautiful cabin nestled amongst the trees overlooking the river (which you can hear rushing by whilst lying in bed - bliss!) The cabin itself was well-equipped, with excellent cooking facilities, and a big TV for cozy evenings in front of the fire. We loved the selection of books left in each room and the the welcome pack full of treats! The bedding is also extremely comfy. The owner was incredibly friendly, stopping by with his dogs and making us feel very welcome. We visited in February and stayed toasty warm thanks to the log fire and the hot tub, and we’re already thinking of coming back in the summer to be able to enjoy the outdoor facilities too. Highly recommend this peaceful escape for anyone looking to reconnect with nature with a group of family/friends. Can't wait to return.

The cabin was absolutely spotless! Had everything we needed for a few days and with such a beautiful view. The hosts went above and beyond and were great with communication. I would definitely recommend!

I have stayed at many AirBnB's and this is an absolute jewel. It was an exceptional stay. Anne is extremely kind and went out of her way to help me and to welcome me in. The house is as pictured - very lovely with gorgeous huge windows looking into the trees. It's very clean and well furnished. Restful and restorative in every way. I did not have a car and Anne told me how to find a pleasant back-ways walk along the river into Kirkcudbright which was beautiful and fun. I can't recommend Anne's place enough!
