The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. Our cosy cottage is well equipped and modern with rustic features with original beams throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped for those that like to cook as well as having an award winning pub in the village. We have a great location, a few miles from stunning lakeland countryside in the quietest part of the lakes with easy access to Crummock (great for wild swimming), Loweswater, Buttermere and Ennerdale. St Bees , the start of the coast to coast walk and other beaches are not far away.

Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. The Barn is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

Our cottage is a converted lakeland barn in the village of Pardshaw, near Cockermouth. Ideal for couples, walkers, cyclists, or families as a base for exploring the stunning Western Lake District. Loweswater is a ten minute drive away and Crummock, Buttermere , Keswick and the coast are all within half an hour. It's very cosy in the winter with comfy leather sofas and a woodburning stove, and there's a large 1st floor deck for Al Fresco dining in the summer.
