Overlooking an attractive pond packed full of wildlife, Gosling Lodge is the perfect place to relax and take in the rural surroundings of Durham's countryside. This is a spacious and cosy holiday home for up to 6 guests with Visit England Gold Awards for 2022-2023, 2023 - 2024 and 2024- 2025! On the first floor there is a superking bedroom with private shower and wc. On the ground floor there is a kingsize bedroom and also a twin bedroom. Here there is a downstairs family bathroom with a wc, shower and bathtub and a third additional downstairs toilet. The house is situated on a quiet street on the south side of the River Tees in Barnard Castle.

The rooms we offer have been designed with the explorer in mind, to use a base to explore the local surrounding area, the Lake District, Northumberland and Durham. We have had guests walking the Isaacs Tea Trail as well as cyclists doing the C2C. After a long day exploring the local area return to refresh yourself in our spacious bathroom complete with underfloor heating.

The Cottage sits near the banks of the River Tees and situated on the Teesdale Way and is a Gateway to Teesdale, Swaledale and Wensleydale. The historic market town of Barnard Castle is less than 15 minutes away. The Lake District National Park is around an hour away, as is the North Yorkshire National Park. From the front door, you can be walking either down stream towards Darlington, or upstream towards Barnard Castle and beyond, with some stunning scenery along the way.
