The perfect location to enjoy some peace and tranquility in the countryside. The house also benefits from being right on the lake with a private jetty where you can use all the kayaks and paddle-boards provided. In the surrounding areas there are some beautiful walks where you can explore the nearby areas. The local village in South Cerney is within walking distance which has some convenience stores. It is also very close to drive to some bigger supermarkets for anything else needed. Inside the house, everything is pristine and decor is to a very high standard. The kitchen and dining area was a great open space with room for all of us to be in without feeling cramped. We found a lovely welcome basket included by the hosts and there are all the amenities you would need in the kitchen. The layout of the house was perfect and the ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms was great, even for a group of girls! Overall we had a fabulous trip and the hosts were always on hand to provide recommendations.

We had a lovely Easter break in this house with our family (8 adults). The weather was perfect so we enjoyed playing tennis and paddle boarding on site and walked to the pub in the village.

Janice has a lovely house in beautiful surroundings. I particularly liked that everything was nice quality including towels and linen. There was plenty to do in the area with places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. Janice was a very good host her communication was excellent and i would highly recommended a stay at her house.

Katy was a wonderful host, she sent very detailed directions ahead of our visit, met us on arrival and couldnt of been more helpful. The cottage is perfect, it has everything you need, is tastefully decorated and immaculatelyclean. There were also some treats for us and essentials like tea, coffee, milk. Great location for exploring on foot or bike. We can't wait to go back!

I cannot recommend this place enough! Windrush was everything we hoped for and more. The house was picture-perfect & immaculately kept, offering everything we needed for our family break. The location was ideal: quiet and peaceful, with beautiful grounds and of course the stunning lakes and wildlife, which the whole family enjoyed. Our host was fantastic! Communicative, attentive and thoughtful, with lots of personal recommendations for walks, pubs etc to help make the most of our trip. Overall, it was the perfect Cotswolds escape to celebrate our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. We all fell in love with Windrush and would definitely go back!

We had the pleasure to stay at the house over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The surrounding area is beautiful and the house the well positioned with a beautiful view of and access to the lake. We’ve take the opportunity to make use of the row boat that came with the house. Inside, the properly was nicely furnished, clean and spacious. Communication with the host was easy and quick. Would highly recommend!

We had the most amazing stay at the shepherds hut! We were only here for one night but we made the most out of everything that was there to offer! The outdoor bath was honestly so perfect with the most gorgeous views of the canal! 🤍 .. and I can’t believe that canoes/ paddle boards were free to use on the canal during our stay.. we definitely took advantage of that! 🤎 The host was also fab with communicating with us and every little detail was perfect! The hut was spotless and I loved the decor! 🤎

Oakhill Ponds is a peaceful haven bursting with nature, but with some added luxury. Amanda very kindly upgraded us to their Shepherd's Hut 'Alice' as we were on our Honeymoon, which was an incredibly kind gesture. The hut was absolutely stunning and everything was high quality. My partner is 6ft 3 but he had no issues fitting in the bed and shower, so there was lots of room considering it is a small space. Amanda and Rob really have thought of everything, whenever we felt we needed something there it was in a drawer or cupboard! The hot tub was a real treat, and it was perfect for stargazing. It was simple enough to light and reached a lovely hot temperature. My husband loved swimming in the pond, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys wild swimming. Overall a fabulous stay, with very thoughtful hosts. I would highly recommend Oakhill Ponds if you are looking for a romantic getaway.
