My family members and I traveled to Matthew's place and stayed for Thanksgiving weekend. The home was very clean, uncluttered and welcoming. My musician nephew particularly enjoyed the grand piano in the living room! The location was a perfect, near shops and restaurants, with a quick walk to Bush Park. The large kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare our meal, and there were more than enough beds for our group of six. The yard was well cared for, with giant pumpkins in the garden and seeds for us to grow our own! I especially appreciated that Matthew took the time to subtly decorate for the holidays, including an Autumn floral arrangement in the entryway and Christmas mugs on the kitchen shelf. Matthew was friendly and responsive, and flexible when we asked to check in early. My family would enjoy staying in his cozy home again.

This is my second year staying during the holidays and it feels like our home away from home.

Since my son and his wife and brand new baby live in Salem, I am sure we will be booking here again and again.

Five of us traveled to Salem to see our amazing friend Alicia, and we stayed at Tim and Diane’s home. It was wonderful. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the master bathroom shower is luxurious. The location worked well as we were in Oregon to see the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. We also walked throughout downtown Salem and bought books at the Book Bin. We loved The Yard with its food trucks just down the street. The best part was the fluffy black and white cat that passed briefly through the yard to say hello.

Just as described, and couldn’t be happier. Thank you Rachel! Such an amazing visit with our little brother, and even better having our fur baby able to join us😊 can’t wait to be back!

was a great place to stay close to everything I needed while I was working in town. everything we needed in the kitchen was provided and on site laundry was great. private backyard and nice living spaces

It was a perfect location, absolutely gorgeous view. I had everything I needed. It was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing very clean. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I'm so glad I chose this apartment for a few days of rest, remote work, visiting family, and to hike at Silver Falls. This unit is spacious and well stocked, and very comfortable. I didn't know the town before I booked and found out it was an ideal location for the historic center, very walkable to restaurants, and a short drive to anywhere you need. Ron is friendly and was able to greet me when I arrived. Easy to find and park right out front. Would definitely stay again!

Loved staying at Lisa's place. Very accommodating. After leaving, both my wife and I wished we hadn't left. We both have a fondness of Lisa, and her two dogs Teddy and Quincy. Very roomy and private with a nice private patio for us and one for our dog Zeus. Plan to return soon.

My two dogs and I had a wonderful stay at Peter's. The front yard is a fenced in grass area that made it easy for safe potty breaks and the house was cozy and spotless. When I arrived in the late afternoon the bedside table lamps were on and it just made it so homey/welcoming to come inside-special little touches.

15 min walk to downtown restaurants. Would be a good 30 min walk to campus I think. Never heard the train. We were greeted upon arrival by two tweekers dumpster diving, but area felt generally safe. Place is in a sort of old apartment complex but it's fine for a couple night stay. Couch is comfy, one of us slept on it, and the extra blankets in the basket were appreciated. TV is good. Bathroom fine except toilet is a bit too close to bathtub and requires one to sit at a weird angle- not a real prob but it's a thing. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to make a simple meal. Parking is fine, right at the window. Other units were quiet. Good value and would stay here again, at this price point.

My nephew and his wife stayed while visiting from So Cal. They said the bed was very comfy and really enjoyed being able to have their dogs with them and a hot tub to use, especially since they are from the desert and it was cold here for them :) .

This place is absolutely adorable. It was quiet and peaceful. I wish I’d had more time to spend there and I will definitely stay here again. The whole town is cute and charming and Priscilla’s place fit right in with that.

Jeffrey was a wonderful host. Space was exactly as described and very clean. Beds were amazingly comfortable.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo! The bubbling brook provided a restful atmosphere, especially while enjoying a meal in the dining room or coffee in the balcony. Beddings and linens were plush and smelled clean. Our host was friendly and proactive, reaching out with instructions regarding check in and check out, and kept in touch with us. We also appreciated having a designated off street and covered parking spot. We highly recommend this condo and host. And would love to stay here again the next time we’re in the Salem/ Portland area!

We had a great stay at the riverside apartment. It’s a great value for a true 2-bedroom apartment with easy access to parking right outside the front door. The location is super convenient to downtown Salem restaurants and shops. We were especially impressed with patio overlooking the stream and the beautiful trees you can see through the oversized sliding glass patio door.

Brandon’s place was amazing! When I arrived, check in was super easy and everything was well organized. There was a welcome sign right next to the door under the tv with all the necessary information for check out and how to use the television and wifi. We loved borrowing the space and would stay again if we were ever that way.

This was a good home base while moving my son into Willamette. Apartment was clean, conveniently located, comfortable beds, and good heating for a cold winter stay. Appreciated the off street parking and sound of the creek. As noted in the listing this is an older building -- it's not a fancy new place but it had everything we needed, the neighbors were friendly, and the neighborhood quiet. Amanda was a great host -- flexible, responsive, and eager to help.

I really enjoyed my stay here with my dogs. Megan was great and very helpful. The only thing to note is if you have larger dogs like I do then make sure you supervise them in the yard because the gate is very easy to open just by giving it a push (without lifting the latch). This didn’t end up being a problem for me because I didn’t use the yard that much but it’s still just something to be aware of. Overall I had a great time and would recommend staying here.

Brandon’s place is a great stay & definitely recommend for a little getaway or even a long stay! There are many restaurants near by & very close to downtown.

Clean an cozy. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the river. About a block away, there is a homeless services building so there were a lot of homeless out in front of the building, but I never had any issues. The parking at the condo is covered and directly in front of the unit; it felt safe. Amanda was very responsive.

The space worked for our one-night stay and had what we needed. Prior to arrival, the host asked me to cancel due to damage from a previous guest. I reminded them that per Airbnb policy, if a host can’t fulfill a reservation, it’s their responsibility to cancel. They later confirmed the stay would proceed. On arrival, the house was generally fine, though there were some issues: no trash liner, unwashed dishes in the rack and dishwasher, missing blinds on the back slider, and part of the backyard fence was down, affecting privacy. A strong, unpleasant odor was present throughout the space and bedding and lingered on our clothes. The host was responsive on check-in day, and while our stay was fine overall, these are things worth addressing for future guests.
