We have been staying at the Parsonage now for 5 years and it became our favorite place when we visit VA. Anne is a very generous hostess and she continues to upgrade the house and make it even more comfortable! The mountain views are gorgeous anytime of the year! We love her place, the details, the books, the artwork and the view! We hope to be back soon!

We visited for the weekend and had a wonderful stay. Peaceful, unique, clean - first words that come to mind when thinking of the Fenton Inn. Recommend making reservations in advance (when needed) for local dining as some of the breweries have limited seating availability due to COVID. Recommend Bold Rock for great food, views, and outdoor dining. We drove to Crabtree Falls for the day, great hike and drive along the Blue Ridge parkway which is just minutes from this location. Excited to see a couple black bear cubs!

very nice place for our group to serve as a home base during a recent fishing and hiking trip into shenandoah. very close to Graves Mill trailhead, and also very conveniently close to grocery stores and restaurants and other services. the house itself was comfortable and clean, and we appreciate it the well-supplied fire pit (they actually have two, one in front and another in back). worked well for relaxing, preparing food, the other r&r in between activities.

We were there for a ski weekend at Wintergreen and everything on the mountain was booked. This place wasn’t far from the Ski Barn. The farmhouse takes you back 75-100 years. It was a real unique cozy place. It wasn’t a slope side condo, but it had a lot of real charm. I think we stumbled on a cozy gem.

Came with my family to spend some quality time together, enjoyed every minute of it. Loved how stocked the kitchen was for every and any meal we wanted to make, the hot tub was awesome , we made s’mores with the fire pit and watched movies in the theater room. The amount of rooms and beds was perfect for us. The hosts were very responsive and kind, and any concerns were immediately handled. If we’re in the area again I’d definitely stay here again!

The Pine Meadow Retreat accommodated us and another couple beautifully, with private spaces and bathrooms for each couple and comfortable shared space, in particular the big kitchen island which easily seats four. The kitchen is spacious, up-to-date, and very well equipped. The setting is beautiful and quiet. We would gladly stay there again.

Great place for a fall get away girls weekend! Beautiful location with views of the lake from every room! We enjoyed the screened in porch in the morning and the fire pit in the evening. Ashley was quick to respond to me and offered suggestions when I inquired. House is well equipped, they've thought of everything!

The Summerhouse was just as described and looked just like the pictures. Its a sweet older home and we found it very comfortable! Angela is a wonderful Host and she went above and beyond in her communications and the extras in the house. We got in late and were very grateful for the Milk in the fridge as well as some muffins and waffles. The coffee bar was great and had all we needed. We were able to start our morning off ready to go. The kitchen is wonderfully filled with all you need to prepare meals. We spent two weeks there and it became a 2nd home. Angela even dropped off some amazing chocolate chip cookies for us too. I would highly recommend staying here. The location is ideal and the views are wonderful!

Rosemary's Nest is awesome! The view off the front porch is a different movie every night. Old Rag, White Oak Canyon and the Skyline Drive are about 40 minutes away, Culpeper is 16 miles away. I suppose we were a little different type of guests, as we stayed ~six months. I was there to recover from a full hip replacement and the steep-ish driveway was perfect for physical therapy. Rosemary and Joe became like family, kept an eye out for us and they invited us upstairs for many delicious dinners and a Civil War quiz. If I have to get my other hip done in the next year or so, we certainly will be returning!

Our very first lake stay and it exceeded our expectations. Irene is an incredibly friendly, responsive, accommodating and generous host. The Cardinal Cove made for a great stay including comfy beds, fluffy towels and even pantry extras. The waterfront view and lake access were highlights for us and we took full advantage of fishing and kayaking, literally from 7:00am to 7:00pm. We got groceries from Food Lion right after we checked in and we never left the property until we checked out. It was nice to have eggs and pancakes available for breakfast (courtesy of Irene) and to use the grill and enjoy lunch on the patio. Friendly neighbors, serene surroundings, we look forward to coming back!

My family and I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely visit again. Having a full kitchen to feed my college student a healthy meal was wonderful! The location was private and quiet and definitely worth the trip.

For a visit to UVA (for orientation, graduation, or ...), Penny's place is a great match (if you are walkers like my family). 1. Extremely peaceful, looking out at trees w/birds chirping away w/o a hint of road noise. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the terrace. 2. Convenient ... <10 minutes walk to a big shopping center and <30 minutes to center of UVA campus. 3. You're visiting someone's home (fully equipped kitchen, lots of plants due to Penny's evident green thumb) w/many thoughtful items to make the stay easier/more enjoyable (fruit, coffee/tea, snacks, breakfast foods, lots (LOTS) of towels, etc ...) Penny, in communication, undersold her home -- yes, it is an older (not renovated) place (not the Ritz Carlton) -- but it made for a very comfortable base for graduation weekend events. NOTE: Be aware that there is no WiFi.

We stayed two nights and it was perfect. We were able to explore the local towns as well as the Shenandoah National park. Very nice vacation stay in VA!

A beautiful country setting so close to Charlottesville. Not only was the cottage as described, this place had countless other details that my daughter and i really appreciated. Water came from a spring on the property. A sweet board and batten barn and chicken coop that were a delight to gaze upon each time you went to and from the guest parking area. Soft, warm lighting. A fabulous hot tub that’s well worth the $15 extra. A perfect balance of being at someone’s home and having your own space. It is clear that Bianca and Tom cared deeply about all aspects of their little homestead and how best to share it with guests. Hats off to you. And, thank you for this little taste of the good life.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Massanutten. The surroundings were nice and clean. The condo we rented from Brenda was spacious, clean and felt like home. We had a 2 bedroom/2bath condo with fireplace, LVP flooring, sectional sofa and balcony with a great views of the mountains and golf course. Everything we need to make meals was available in the condo and grocery stores were just a 10 min drive away. We purchased tickets for the water park and adventure park which had lots to do. We will definitely plan to go back again during the summer months.

Such accommodating, communicative hosts and an easily accessible, lovely, eclectic space. Highly recommend !

My second stay, and I've no complaints. Hosts are very responsive if you have a question. Will absolutely stay again.

A lovely historic home within walking distance of the town. Wonderful breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.

What a dream of a place this is, we wish we were staying a week instead of a day. The breakfast was warming and delicious. I cannot explain the decor and setup , except to say- the room was like it came from HGTV and the whole place had all the bells and whistles

What a fun stay! We got to witness the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen here. The animals on the farm are so friendly. I was able to take my dog for the stay and he met bigger animals for the first time and they became friends instantly. I loved what they have done with opening up the family farm to enjoy. It was very personable and they made us feel like family. The homemade country breakfast was also one of my favorites. We were visiting the area hiking and decided to stay since it was a few hours away and I am glad we were able to stay here. Although our visit was short, it was sweet. Thank you for welcoming my family.. beautiful stay.

We stayed here in Nov 2024. Ms Linda is a great host! The listing mentioned a continental breakfast. That’s the only inaccurate thing about the listing as her breakfast was outstanding! It’s a full blown meal and delicious! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, cozy, remote, rustic and relaxing. Very nice setup indeed. We will definitely stay again in the future. Highly recommended!

Anne was an amazing host and showed lots of passion towards the animals she cares for. My wife and I enjoyed every bit of our stay in the cozy (and quite large) space. Thanks for having us! Definitely coming back.

This was my second time to stay with Susan after a wonderful first visit. Since I was the only guest, the shared living area was very spacious. I especially had fun throwing a frisbee to their dog, Apache. Susan is very faithful and hard-working to make a sumptuous breakfast every morning! I plan to return when I’m in the area.

We stayed in room #3. It was nicely decorated. The bed was super comfy and we slept great. Fresh flowers were in our room when we got in which was a nice touch. Our room had 2 robes in the closet along with plenty of hangars. Room also had a dresser. No TV is in the bedroom (which we did not miss) but there was a TV in the main house which could be used. The B&B is located within 20 minutes of downtown CVille, Monticello, hiking and our favorite, Snugglebutts Farm. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable about the area. There are a lot of things to look at inside the home which they have a vast knowledge of the history of the items. The breakfast was simple but fantastic. Granola, yogurt, fresh berries, croissants and/or muffins. The coffee was great. They also had a selection of Teas.
