This home is simply beautiful. The view is breathtaking and the host was extremely friendly! The home is as advertised and the location is perfect. I will definitely recommend!

Alice and Rena are great hosts, very friendly and helpful. It's a very nice house in a small neighborhood that is safe to walk. Stores/food are a few miles away. Plenty of room to move around the house as they have a living room they leave for guests. I would stay there again.

Thank you to John for a lovely stay at The River House! We enjoyed a gorgeous sunny sunset happy hour on the tiki bar dock and moody views of fog and mist rolling over the water all in one weekend. John’s place is clean, comfortable, and cozy. We had everything we could possibly need for a weekend of quiet, beauty, and relaxation. Can’t wait to come back!

Felt like home. Spacious bedrooms and nicely updated bathrooms. Beautiful country setting for our family’s holiday visit to southern Maryland. Loved it!

Usa’s room was exactly as described and the photos were accurate. Clean and charming historic home with any amenity one might need. We stayed for one night. Enjoyed their plant shop below the room spaces. Easily walked the small village and enjoyed seeing the gaslit lanterns. It was a nice place to stay while touring to George Washington’s Mount Vernon, if one might prefer a less congested area.

I enjoyed my stay and was surprised when John on his own sent me a list of things to do and restaurants around the area. He was very helpful to make sure I had all I needed in the house. The place was clean and well maintained. No complaints, definitely recommend if you want to be near DC but not stay in the DC area to rest.

Melisa was the perfect host! Her place was immaculate! She was very nice and informative for places around her to eat. The water was within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again next year if she is still hosting.

This was my fourth stay with Theo and every time, it seems like he includes something to make the stay more enjoyable. Very responsive to any questions or issues that arise. Always flexible! I love it there and it is definitely my home away from home! I look forward to my next stay!

This place is a quiet, peaceful spot to relax. The listing had everything it stated and the spot on the water is beautiful. I booked it because it was close to a wedding I was in nearby, and it was a great place to stay a little longer and get some much needed R&R. The kitchen (and bathroom) was well stocked and had everything we needed to throw together some meals. I had a couple questions and Angela responded immediately. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for sure! That being said, if you’re looking for a lot to do / tons of places to eat, this place probably isn’t what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a quiet (beautiful) place to recharge, this is it!

We had such a wonderful stay at Breton Breeze cottage. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. Jan and Tom were truly great hosts—warm, responsive, and respectful of our privacy. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. It had everything we needed and more, making it feel like a true home away from home. What really made this place special was the peaceful setting. If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the perfect spot. Surrounded by nature, it offered us the chance to slow down, breathe, and reconnect—not just with the outdoors, but with ourselves. Even though it feels like a secluded retreat, it’s just a short drive from Leonardtown, so you’re not far from restaurants, shops, and things to do. My husband and I genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, restorative getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at this beach cottage in Colonial Beach! The place was exactly as pictured. It was clean, cozy, and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. Troy and Marilyn, were incredibly helpful throughout the process, making check-in smooth and accommodating any requests we had. Their hospitality made the stay even better. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat by the water, this is a great spot. Highly recommend!

Nice place to stay. It was within a short walking distance to restaurants and beach. We were able to check in early and Kiki checked on us during our stay to make sure all was good. The golf cart was broken but we were told before we booked. Colonial Beach is golf cart friendly so having one would be a plus getting around town. Overall, I would recommend to others.

Our group had a wonderful stay. The land was beautiful, quiet and we all felt comfortable. We would definitely like to come back next year!
